TRUCKERS BEWARE! I just found out that you either have to purchase 60 gallons of fuel or spend $30 in the store to get free parking. Otherwise parking is $30. They have conveniently placed jersey barriers around the perimeter in order to enforce this atrocity. Also, if you reserve a space($25), you have to pay the difference ($5). Unbelievable!

If this is a franchise, the owner is going about it all wrong. Instead of trying to strong-arm truckers for every dollar you can, you should think outside the box.Try this for a month or two. Put up a sign saying FREE SHOWERS FREE PARKING. Instead of a ghost town, your lot would be packed and drivers who showered in the morning would certainly buy breakfast. If you did that, I'd buy everything I need only at this TA. I'd never spend a dime anywhere else unless I had to. Good will goes much farther than you think.Right now, stopping here without being able to put in 60 gallons, makes this no different than parking on a ramp or rest area except this costs money. If I can't shower when I wake up, and have to pay $25 for the privilege of going back out on the road dirty, then there's no reason to stop here.EDIT: I see the owner is only posting generic copy and paste type replies. Well that makes it seem like they don't care. Are they willing to drive this travel stop into the ground, and go bankrupt? So sad. Listening to your customer base instead of your bank account will in the end grow your bank account. Why are you doing it so wrong?

New to this region and this is the fuel stop I am stuck with. More than half the pumps are always down and the rest trickle fuel like the pumps are damaged or frozen. I will be diverting from this stop for the foreseeable future.

The TA in N Chicago has a sign that states the first 2 hrs are free after that it’s $25 a day unless you get 60 gallons of fuel or $30 of non fuel purchase. so we took our ticket went in and went into restaurant to eat making sure to keep our receipt for our non diesel purchase. The next morning we proceeded to the exit and found that it’s completely automated and there was no way to show that you made your $30 purchase .So we had to pay the $25 to get out with still no idea how to prove you made a no fuel purchase! I feel your instructions are vague and misleading on purpose! We will not be parking here again!Add to the fact that both women’s restrooms were closed and the person behind the counter just shrugged there shoulders and said “ well I don’t know what to tell you!”..I called to discuss with manager and apparently there was no one available and was disconnected.

Always liked this parking lot, very large and convenient. There were a lot of trucks. While it was free. Now it costs $25!!! Either 60 gallons or a $30 store purchase. Never park in the scale or pump area. A cop is coming!!! While I was getting fuel, a cop came by and gave a ticket to whoever parked at the scales. Now the parking lot is almost empty. You've destroyed your TA business

Was a nice big plenty of parking but now....I use to stop here every time I was going through Chicago or heading back home to either let the dog out, go to the bathroom, take my half hour or spend the night and now I will no longer be stopping here I am not going to pay $30 to park in the gated lot. Forget it.Just another truck stop to add to my 'no-go" list

The service crew was awesome. It's very rare when shop employees can take a frustrating situation and actually make it pleasant. Erica at the service desk is an awesome service writer. The mechanics were very professional and friendly. Thank You TA Chicago north. 😎

DO NOT PARK HERE. Do not support these crooks. No parking over 2 hours unless you pay over $20/day. Absolutely disgraceful. The owners should be embarrassed by what they're doing here. Pathetic.

Sad sad sadUse to enjoy coming here for food, shower, fuel, for 20 yrs. This T/A wont last long pilots pumps lot full. Loves full pumps an lot people spending money in them. Got back up to the TA an this rolled into this mess. Lots blocked off ticket robots no people. Then to get out you have to go inside to pay before you leave cant pay up front then park. You cant pay even with ta parking app. 25$ parking fee or 30$ non fuel purchases, or 60 gals of fuel. It's a ghost town tonight 25 trucks total 730 pm. Won't be back for nothing will not spend 1 penny in here.

So the gates and barriers went up in early November. Okay, but once you get done fueling, you need to leave the fuel area right away, unless you want some high-&-mighty minimum-wage clerk (with a chip on his shoulder) come and chase you out. I can understand during the day when it's busy, but at night with nary a soul around, not so much. I haven't parked here since before the barriers went up. Judging by the reviews, I shouldn't bother.

Of course... The one place I counted on to have parking now charges $25. Not a big deal for owner ops who can buy fuel anywhere but for us company drivers who don't have an option and don't get paid back for parking really leaves us with limited options... There's a new Kwik Trip 8 miles into WI. 11350 28th St. Kenosha WI. There is lots of parking but fills up around 1800. Go there. Plus Kwik Trip has way better food and groceries. Sorry to see this TA go this route. Very unfortunate for those of us trying to make a living.

Matt was spot on with his comments, I couldn’t have said it better, this is a ghost town for real, and I agree the greed is going to run this TA out of business..the worker morale is low as well, I would not buy anything here, and had it not being for my fuel light being on, and me needing parking, I would have not have come here. I truly wish I had the money to open a TRUE truck stop here at this spot.. I’d be a millionaire in a year due to the sheer volume of truckers wanting to stop mainly here. This place is a drag and unmotivational…I do hope I come into some millions and buy this place and kick the cheap azz owners out and Throw away TA.. and make my own diner.

$25 to park is too much. Now their lot is empty and the loves and the other dump are packed all day. I came back to the 340 exit. They hurt their business and the others too. Was a decent place. Good job!

I'm certainly happy that some drivers are happy with this place. Me not so much. We pulled in. All pay to park. Seems to be going trend. HATE that. And the restaurant. Closes at 130. No notice just done. Maybe a few signs around would be nice so people would know. But again nobody wants to do their jobs.Won't be back. Course there again. Nobody cares.

Wow - simply is all that I can say and this location was a very pleasant surprise. Most staff was friendly but in particular is Maria - she is the attendant who cleans the showers and I believe other areas of the stop. Wow - not any dust mold or mildew build up on any of the vents and fan and lights etc., it may be a small shower but to be able to look around and feel clean and not dirty after a shower is a plus. I did thank her and made sure to commend her hard work to the on duty manager who said Maria is a great employee and hard worker and takes her role serious. Def recommend staying here if in the area however I understand the property is going to an all paid parking set up - not sure I like that.

I can't give a 0 star rating, soo I guess since they put in the Pay To Park system, at $25 a night. And you can't use Ultra One Points. Credit cards only. Not doing business here again.Since this is a independent TA, they can do that, but if lessons from the past will show, you will drive yourselves out of business just like they did in the late 80's.So much for a nice quiet place to eat and get a 10 hour rest in. Probably will be bankrupt in 8 months or less, and the owner will have to close this place down. Sad.

This TA only allows drivers in after 4. Here's some news TA....Truck drivers drive all hours & have to take 10 hour breaks when their hours are up. You are only catering to day drivers. May your deliveries come according to a ridiculous parking schedule rather than from drivers who work to get deliveries there day or night.

Unpopular opinion. Love love love that the parking is $25 a night now. This place would be littered with broken down trucks all along the back row. For everyone complaining, the parking is free for $30 of purchases in the store or 60 gallons of fuel if you're not gonna spend any money here, how are you entitled princesses getting free parking. Also. All the broken down trucks and truck storage from nearby companies? They all park at loves now, the loves is never less than 80% full

I shouldn't give any stars. $25 for parking is excessive. Especially when you don't get anything for it. They have no liability, no security. I haven't ate at a TA for years since I got food poisoning. Save your money, find a ramp or rest area.

This used to be my go-to when I had a Friday haul from Marshfield Wi to downtown Chicago. It was close enough to unload first thing in the morning and make it back home reasonably to stay with the family long enough to have a life. Was out of work for a month. No money. Especially for truck parking. It's hard enough to find parking. Why pay for it. A trucker has enough expenses to worry about.. B.S. PERIOD!

Great friendly staff , very professional and manager actually gets out and talks to employees. Super clean inside and out with no trash laying on ground. Tons of parking!

ATTN truck drivers! Parking is now 100% pay to park. Beware it is $25 after tax. I have never paid more than $16 unless I'm in New Jersey close to NYC.

I'm a trucker and this was my favorite place to stop when going up or down to Chicago. It absolutely sickens me to see this place fall into the same price gouging trend against truckers. These businesses are supposed to serve truckers first and foremost, and all truck stops these days begin price gouging truckers, diesel and forcing us to pay to park. Raising the prices of showers nearly $10. After the new force paid parking I won't be stopping here again for the rest of my career. Shame on you. Go cater to your 4 wheelers and keep messing truckers over.

They've gone back to paid parking for trucks. $25, in fact. This place never filled up to begin with, and is nothing special as far as TA's go, so it's just another money grab. They still don't seem to understand why they are continually going bankrupt.

I used to love parking at this location. Stopped by today to park and grab shower, saw it's now gated and all paid to park. I turned around and went somewhere else.

Entire lot is prepay now. Internet also prepay. Restaurant closed on weekends. Credit card machine on laundry is broken. No service at fuel island due to the only worker having to clean the bathrooms. TA wonders why they are struggling nation wide.

I went to the eagle truck wash... after I was done, I was going to get a bite to eat till I seen the $25 truck parking. I' was going to support their restaurant but no place to park so I went elsewhere
