I miss the Steak/Shakes in the Wisconsin areas. My daughter loved them growing up, and now I needed a good shake fix.Let me first say: This is the cleanest one we ever stopped at. No spray painted tagging, no bullet holes showing.Just darn good stuff. Strawberry and chocolate Flavored shakes. Enough said. It the spot for a great trip stop.

Tables were dirty, and the ketchup bottles by the self serve soda machine, look like they haven't been refreshed, or washed in a while, and it didn't smell to good when I opened one to smell it, because I was already weary. Customer service was very slow u would of though no employees worked there when u first walked in. The lids were stained with splashed soda and food and just left there for customers to use as well by the self serve soda machine. I don't recommend dining in or eating here the only decent thing was the burgers.

Was there today at 11:52 for my man’s break. We were having trouble ordering and getting mixed up and the drive thru person became extremely rude, shouting when she spoke obnoxiously speaking to me in a robot like customer voice. When I handed her my card, I tried to say please can I have the receipt and got the drive-through window slammed in my face. You guys were not busy at all and we were the only people in the drive-through so I don’t understand why she was so ill tempered. I worked at this exact location for two years being 16/17 Years old and had better customer service at that age then this drive-through attendant did and she looked like she could be in her mid-30s. I have not had a very good day, and she made it worse. she might’ve been having a bad day too, but working with the public and customer service you have to act the part that you’re getting paid to do. Terrible experience.

We love Steak and Shake it hard to see that it has changed so much. Menu has down sized but the costumer service was good. The place was empty and they were slow. So the tables should have all been clean but not the case it was hard to find a clean table.

After sitting at table & many eye contacts w/employees. . Thought service sucked. No one said anything after 8 min, finally got to counter only to see the ONLY menu there. Apparently you order/pay there & wait to be called. PUT SIGNS UP, so people know things changed!! But having my food served on a tacobell tray was funny!

Entered waited for someone to seat us took little while & while on crutches ask where bathroom's was young waitress tries to seat us in opposite direction so tell her not not going that way when there is open booths on the way to bathroom and back so she cops an attitude when we were waited on had different delightful waitress when let daughter pay they didn't give us a receipt same gal says she can't after she cashes us out so I asked for Mgr. gives me receipt w/ attitude in front of him and I say she had gotten attitude since we got there I asked him to speak with him alone told him if she doesn't like to work with public she should go somewhere else cuz she had a attitude since we walked in when she tired to seat us I said kids nowadays she got cocky saying I not a kid anymore and told her she fooled me ! He gave us a free meal .

This is not a true Steak N Shake any longer. Just because they serve shoestring fries and thin patties does make you true to your name. It is totally self serve and the menu is less than half of a true restaurant. I get inflation and all but you are better off going to McDonald’s or Burger King for this level of quality and options.

Good experience but nearly all my fries were short. Not the freshest either. Experience was ok. This is pure speculation...but i think the sweet tea was made by either a person on a sugar restriction, a skinny person who never made Kool aid or tea at home, or someone who simply didn't follow directions to make sweet tea. To say it was mildly sweet is probably the case, but add ice that melts in the warm tea in the cup and you have tea with a hint of sweet. Service wasn't bad. Wait wasn't too long. 3stars. Im not going to let the tea mishap diminish to 2. I will go back some time when in the area.Vegetarian options: None that i noticed other than fries. No specific vegan items/menu.Dietary restrictions: Left up to the individual to use common sense regarding their own diet.Parking: Plenty.Kid-friendliness: Kids meals available.Wheelchair accessibility: Yep.

I only eat the Cookies N' Cream Shake and sometimes the Fries and they both taste fine, I like my fries soggy and soft and they did just that. Although, I understand why people hate this one, because the service is kinda bad.

The food is good but service was bad. There were only 2 other tables besides ours and we waited 10 min. To get a refill on our drinks. Watched the waitress. She said she would refill after we asked and then watched her go sit at a table with another employee and talk then brought the other table one drink and I had to talk loud to remind her of our drink order. I understand the wait when busy. I waited tables a long time ago and if I gave service like that I was fired. This is why we tip. We ho out to dinner want a good experience and clean tables and never sit with empty glass.

Very disappointed the changes made. The service, the experience, it's all gone. You order from a limited menu at the counter. They charge you and the machine has the audacity to ask for a tip. A tip? You fill your own drinks. You sit down at dirty, unclean tables. You retrieve your food from the counter. You get your own refills. You bus your own tables. I'll keep my tip and save this place for drive thru only. I don't eat to McDonald's for a reason and a manager told me that's what they were trying to emulate. No thank you. If there were other options in town, I would choose them!

Friday night, 2 hours we can't get back and no beans, no pasta. The burgers were good though. The waitress was fine until she took a break. We sat for twenty minutes waiting for some one to come by and remove dirty dishes and get a shake order. We finally went to the counter. It was close to half hour for the shakes. The manager stood behind the counter and smiled. Never noticed that we need service or that dishes sat there. When the shakes weren't added to the bill, we thought, "Okay, they must be complimentary for the LONG wait." Nope. I mentioned the troubles we encountered. Another smile. We won't be back.

Service was terrible! The music was so incredibly loud our server was shouting the entire time. Everyone made it very clear they hate their jobs. Poor management. The manager was outside smoking more than he was inside doing his job. There were only 2 other customers dining yet we had to wait for our table to be cleaned off. Food was cold probably because no one could hear their own thoughts let alone hear when orders are up. They are very stingy about happy hour drinks. Definitely don't expect good service here.

They was fast. Pretty nice people. Food was warm. Cheap. The whole 20 min I was there a table next to me never got cleaned. The out side had some garbage. They wasn't busy but the weather out side was windy and wet not raining. I would go back there if I wanted to feel like I was in a family restaurant but the price and quality of fast food.

To explain my review I have to explain why Steak 'n Shake matters to me more than a restaurant probably should.There has always been a charm to Steak n Shake. My kids have always loved putting together the little cardboard cars that came with the kids menu. I always loved how affordable it was compared to any other diners.But why I loved Steak n Shake dates back several years to when I was on my first date with the woman who would become my wife. It was late, maybe 1AM and the two of us were desperately looking for a place to go as to not end the date early. Most places that weren't bars were already closed, and even several of those had shut down for the evening.Well, the Steak n Shake local to that area never closed, so we sat down and our server brought us our food and coffee refills as we talked and laughed and entered the extremely early stages of forming the bonds of falling in love with the person who is also rapidly becoming your best friend.So imagine walking into a Steak n Sheak at a later date. No servers, counter service. Far from being like an old fashioned hometown diner (with that hometown being America), now it just felt like another McDonald's clone. Admittedly, it is still superior in that the Steak n Sheak ice cream machine is never broken, but the whole restaurant felt like it was missing the soul of what made Steak n Shake feel special. No more servers. No more coffee refills brought to your table. Just another fast food order counter.The upside is the food hasn't changed one iota, but you can get good burgers all over the place. You just couldn't get table service at a reasonable price most other places and now you can't even do that here.It's a shame, and I feel like everything is lesser for it.

Not great! Going through Watseka and stopped in for food. They sat us under a vent that was putting out cold air..we moved. My son ordered a chocolate shake which is normally good but this one was awful, tasted like they took a bottle of Hershey’s syrup and poured it on vanilla ice cream. Stale crackers with our chili and our food took quite some time. Waitress wasn’t worried to check and see if we needed refills for our pop. Just a disappointment to say the least. Then of course there was a problem with our bill. We didn’t even bother mentioning it, just paid and left. Came back through later in the day on our way back home just to grab some drinks at the drive thru and even that was a joke. Won’t be back and definitely will not recommend.

They had flat lids on kid shakes, no spoons, took 6 mins sitting in drive thru with no one on front of me for 4 drinks! The half price drinks are awesome but not if you cant drink em!
