Great place for bait! I would argue one of the best bait places in the area, they have every thing including live minnows! The store has a ton of supplies and has a small town feel that I love and they actually care about their customers shopping experience. Great place!!

So for me to leave a review, I need to have experienced outstanding service ! My experience buying paint at Ace has been the most pleasurable and positive experience. I have never had someone be so helpful, kind , and accommodating as, Alan, in the paint department . If you are needing paint , I highly recommend Ace .

I had a 35 year old garden tractor that needed a drive wheel replacement and other adjustments to make it useable for snow removal in the winter and lawn maintenance the summer. After only one week of repair and adjustments the tractor was brought back to life to make it useable to perform the above tasks. Very satisfied.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Ace Hardware! The staff went above and beyond to assist me in finding the right tools and materials I needed for my project. Mr. Black helped me with everything I needed! Their knowledge and willingness to help made my visit incredibly productive. I highly recommend this store to anyone in need of top-notch service and quality products!

Love this ACE for my hardware needs but just recently, I discovered they carry an assortment of live bait! Minnows, crawlers, wax worms and a small assortment of tackle. Prices are reasonable and given that bait shops are nonexistent in the area this is great.

Best place to go if you need actual help. Big box are fine but these dudes actually do work and know how goofy house stuff can get done.

Over the past few months the staff and store has gotten better. The store was totally reorganized and was challenging for a while for staff and customers. Now, you walk in and someone is close by asking what you are looking for, taking you right to it.

Nice helpful staff. I stopped in to grab supplies for a cleaning job I was doing in Warrenville. You know how it is when you go into a store you've never been in before, especially when you're in a rush? It sucks usually... But here I got helped right away and the employee pointed me exactly to the right.Very helpful!

Website and sign next to door advertise lock servicing (re-keying), but was told by store staff that they don't do this anymore. Please update your information.

Very much appreciate the support and knowledge from those working at Ace this weekend. I ended up making 7 trips in 2 days working on renovations to my bathroom (I am very much a beginner). The staff were very kind with all my questions and so helpful, especially Roberto!

This store has recently been remodeled due to a change in ownership. This remodel was much needed and the store looks better than before. I do wish they would have expanded their nuts and bolts section. Their metric options are extremely limited. However, it has become increasingly common that I am not able to find what I’m looking for at this store. I can buy Carharrt clothing and Oakley sunglasses here but not my Ace 16x25x1 air filters, Milorganite, or any other staple hardware item. Being solicited by window and other remodeling companies is also a negative when shopping in this store.

Placed a online order for 4 terro ant traps which ended up being about 13.00 dollars minus 5 dollars in ace rewards so I charged 8 dollars on my credit card. Two traps I was going to use for myself and two I was going to give to my mom. However I found out she already bought them so I only needed the two. I went in the next day to pickup and went to the front of the store. I told them I had a online order but only wanted half of it. Shouldn't be a big deal right? Well she said I have to call the manager. I thought in my head weird but ok didn't think it was that complicated. Well 2 minutes later the manager and every employee in the store came up like I was robbing the place lol. A total of 4 employees. The store manager or owner told me I couldn't do that and if I did I would have to come back next day because I could cancel my order and he wouldn't get paid. Didn't quite understand but I have been coming here for probably 15 years getting blades sharpened and buying things here every so often and never had a issue returning anything. Then you want me to come back with gas being over 5 dollars a gallon and people have limited free time because you think I'm going to somehow rip you off 8 dollars is absolutely ridiculous. Then have 4 employees come up front like I'm robbing the place lol. Just crazy. I will never step a foot in your store again. I'll go to home depot where the prices are way cheaper. If you have a problem with fraud or whatever bring it up with corporate not the people who have been coming in there for 15 years. Awful.

Not very helpful. And they didn't even have what I needed. Website said items were instock. But they had none of my items! Waste of my time. Had to then drive out to Wheaton.

This store is going through big changes. They used to carry hardware and are now trying to be something like home depot and not a hardware store. Customers will have to go to West Chicago Murphys Ace to get their hardware needs. Big mistake!

This store is great and helps avoiding the time and hassle of going to a big box store for those quick needs. This is the place to go if you need that quick part, screw, bolt etc. for a fixit project. The staff here are also generally very knowledgeable about most home improvement and handyman chores, and are usually more than happy to take the time to make sure you get what you really need. I go here quite often, and I have never had a rude or disrespectful experience with the staff here, my experience has been quite the opposite.

Great local shop! They have pretty much everything I have ever gone in to find. They are pretty packed with items. Staff has always been knowledgeable and courteous, and there is always someone available to help load heavy items in the car.

This is a phenomenal hardware store. Great selection, and great service. I went there to get some help to fix a piece of furniture, and the employee Steve was excellent with his help & advice so I could get the right products to get the job done. Very glad to have this store in my neighborhood.

Very bad service. First time at this store and I won't go back. Tom who works at the paint department was rude and didn't want to help me at all. All I wanted was to get paint tinted. He said he couldn't do a manual that it was best to go to the store I had bought my paint in the first place. Then later said yes I can do manual he went back to get the paint came back said oh I don't have any paint to mix it. I felt he just wanted me out of his store!I would not recommend this store.

Wasted time and gas money. These guys have blade sharpening service and can’t even give a call or descent try if they sharpen any of the knifes that I have for the kitchen. I was told a time and when they will be ready. I know better to call ahead before picking up and this happen 3 separate times within week time span. The location here only have 2 people that are capable of sharpening any common supposedly blades and one more thing they use a wheel grinder not something hard to work with. The place here shows the big signs of slackers and under experice of running a store. I was told over the phone about to come pick them up for they can’t do anything with it. I was told by someone being rude and aggressive for being late for time and date that they setup. It’s like they are annoyed of me calling them for times that they setup again not my fault. Also they don’t mark down tickets for buying a chain that I need for gate door for my yard. I was about to pay until rude man at the register was talking to me about the length and how much they were selling. He was trying get me do his job. The guys who cut the chain didn’t bother tagging it with information on it. This hardware store sells different chains and doesn’t have a tape measure at the register Incase someone doesn’t tag the chains with price and length. He was too comfortable to leave his chair. I came here many times have not seen anyone who works here leave register to go check price for customer that wasn’t rude with them. Also there are cameras so what’s the excuse? I was lucky to remember the price and length. The guy ask if I was sure? None of it was in a joking matter. He told me like I was lying. I said yes to him. He knew and heard conversation I had with the guys who cut the chain up for me for we are close to the register and this store is super small of any Ace hardware I have been to. Bad service and undertrained employees what ruined this place. I have brought in high quality German stainless steel and Japanese steel blades. I was told they are cheap steel knife. only one of them chip because of heavy usage and someone at culinary school knock it down by accident landed hard on the tip of the knife. He gave every excuse of how bad they are he won’t work on them so I asked where could I find some replacement or good knife to look into since place sell hunting knifes here. The guy suggested sears or a Target for knifes. This guy clearly doesn’t know about knifes or blades. he doesn’t know any well know knife brands. Yet this store sells hunting knifes. I bet you they can’t even tell what steel and grade is used for hunting knifes they sell. I would suggest for the local aurora flea market to sharpening knifes or blades. I am glad to find out the ace hard ware use wheel at this location for I would not let a wheel grinder eat away my knifes for my schooling. 1 Star for other things if you really need for hardware needs. Try out different ace hardware or competitors for they would be more professional than this place. Don’t support this bad business.

I had a very unpleasant experience. The checkout person was horribly hacking with no mask on. When I requested to hold on to my items while she scanned, I was met with rudeness. She asked if I wanted a receipt and when I declined she said "of course not" and crumpled it and threw it away very demonstratively. There was an empty bottle of hand sanitizer at the counter. I left feeling like I needed to be disinfected. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was asinine.

I've started to frequent the warrenville Ace store instead of the closer West Chicago Ace location due to the outstanding service I receive at the Warrenville store. Today is a good example, I asked Steve who was busy stocking about getting some keys made. Steve didn't hesitate to start duplicating keys for me and also pointed out the aisles where all of the other items I needed were located, it was like having my own personal shopper. Plus all 4 duplicate keys I had made worked, outstanding, much better than the do it yourself keys at other big chain stores.

This is a great, classic hardware store, with friendly folks to help if you are not sure. I am not hear often, as it is not close to home. It is close to my work, so I stop by if I need a quick part or whatever on my lunch hour. Lots of small parts as well as tools. And more traditional products and supplies.

Super helpful and knowledgeable about paint and stains for any type of project. Cashiers are always very pleasant and cheerful. Because of its smaller size, you are able to get what you need and get through the store quickly.

A little small as Ace goes. Still a good selection and good folks on staff. Happy to have it as my neighborhood Ace. Store pretty well fully reno'd. Feels way more spacious. Big time upgrade

Ace really is the place. Whether it's to get a key made, pick up a few bags of mulch, or to find the right size fastener for the wobbly table leg, I love having a helpful hardware store just down the street.

Good neighborhood Ace. Shelves were looking pretty bare in the seasonal section which is unfortunate considering the time of year. The staffs friendly enough and they have most things you're looking for. Beats the hell out of driving down rt 59 to Home Depot or Lowes for basic hardware store needs.
