Dirty inventory. Opened water bottles on the shelves for you to purchase and consume. Manager at night is beyond rude and ready for confrontation man woman or child. Endangering others in the store when she could just do her job and go home. I've spent a lot of money in this store and I will go out of my way not to spend a single dollar more

Rude employees at night. Confrontational to individuals which makes law abiding and respectful customers uncomfortable. Will watch people steal and then accuse someone of stealing who has spent $300 in the last two weeks there. Never greets customers with a smile. Always angry. Terrible energy in the store

I always go here and the store looks clean and organized. I miss the old days when the workers would greet you when you come in the store. The freezer selection is pretty good and I like getting all my snacks here.

This was the dollar general near my job. I used to go in here all the time for snacks for work. The older white lady was nice and there was a taller African American lady who was sweet too. Social situations make me nervous and I do my best to keep transactions smooth. I went in over the weekend, like 2 weeks ago and there was a shorter African lady working. There was a toy sale going on on toys with yellow or white dots or stars. Buy one get one 75% off. I picked up two yellow star toys and went to the register. She tried to charge me full price. When I made a comment about the sale. She sighed and went to look and then told me she'd price match. I told her toys have yellow stars on them. She then proceeded to charge me 75% of the price. To which I argued that it was 75% off the original price. Now granted, it was busy and there was a line behind me and she was probably stressed, but what came next was uncalled for. She argued with me and said that was 75% off. She took her phone calculator and shoved it in my face and punched in the numbers 9-75% which came out to 6.25. I told her that's not 75% off. That's 75% of 9. And boy did she not like being told she was wrong. I tried to tell her that you take the 6.25 off of 9, but she was agitated, and continued to argue with me, and that she was price matching. She made me feel stupid for the math that she got wrong. I looked at the receipt and the lady in line behind me told her it would get better, which was extremely humiliating. And when I wanted to do the return bc I decided I didn't want the toys anymore after all the arguing, she had to have my name and address and even asked for my social security number for the return. I apologized for the inconvenience before leaving the store and haven't gone back since. I work with customers all the time. I do invoicing and pricing for the jobs I do in my business, and this was the first time I had to argue with someone about math. Someone who works a cashier and handles money every day, which is terrifying. They lost my business

Just went to the store on N Cunningham which closes at 10pm. The BIG manager just locked the door in my face at 930pm. I'm leaving this review at 9:39pm, August 15th, 2023. Refused to open the door back up.

I had previously given a bad review of this store. They recently reopened after a fire. I have to say that they have totally turned the store around. Everything is where it belongs, the store is clean and tidy, shelves are fully stocked. The cashier's were very helpful and fast. Thank you for stepping up your game Dollar General! Will shop here again!

I like shopping at this dollar general store particular because of the great customer service representative that are working. But the store needs to do better supplying consumer with goods by hiring people to stock the shelves and having two cashier available for long lines. It's really upsetting when you go visit this store to buy things and the shelves are bare do to nobody being available to stock the shelves.

Negative 5 stars if I could! Its one of the most unorganized and dirty stores I've been to. There is always product just tossed around, countless of times I've found expired food, and milk and have said something to management and go back in a few days later and the expired stuff is still on the shelf. 🤢 they are ALWAYS OUT of at least 3 out of the 5 things I go in there for. It sucks because it's the closest store to my house, i will be taking the extra drive to go to a nicer dollar general.

New help tryed to be nice and helpful, but they are poorly trained and overwhelmed by their inventory circumstances. There is inventory everywhere to be put out, but not being done. Back room looks like disaster area just like the front. Bathrooms are bad, water stinks, no soap, and no towels. Very dirty, disorganized and empty shelves everywhere with trash open food and drinks on every isle. Try A different DG until this place gets sorted out.

Sometimes staff discusses personal things in front of and towards or about customers. No offense but some things are better left unsaid in a store. Otherwise great store, clean, organized, fully stocked and additionally the staff are really good people.

I love Dollar General especially the one here in Fisher Illinois I can always find unique things. And the help there it's just wonderful they know what's in the store he can tell you yes or no and now also take you to help you find it it's just a wonderful place to shop. And it's also good for those quick pick-me-ups like milk and bread and things like that that you run out of

Very disappointing today. The cashier had a mask on but none of it was covering her mouth or her nose. She did have gloves on. I think all employees dealing with the public while this is going on needs to have gloves and a mask on. we don't know where anybody's been just like they don't know where any of us have been. I'd rather be safe than sorry

I went to Dollar General the other day and they refuse me service and threaten to fine me for not wearing a mask. It’s not by law you have to wear a mask it’s all controlled by the government our governor can remove this mandate but he refuses to do it. If we don’t stand up for what we believe in in our rights they will continue to be taken away from us.. I refuse to wear a mask because the virus is 99.9% recovery rate don’t let governors or places take over your rights let’s stand up for each other before it’s too late.

This particular store looked very lacking in orderly fashion. Had to go way out in parking lot for a cart. Several items out of stock. Friendly people at checkout. Prices competitive.

The urbana, Illinois location looks like 80's Soviet Russia. Bare shelves, out of too many things. What they do have is often scattered on the floor or still on pallets from truck day last week. The Tolono location always looks good, as does Rantoul for alternatives

The store is so undone and out of order it is sad. Not enough help stuff on the floor shelves have empty spots and then 1 poor cashier. I was walking so I didn't have a choice

They are always under construction. Not really but I think they're so short staffed all the time and nothing gets put on a shelf. It sits in boxes in the isles

Folks that their store That's mighty nice treated me like I was cheating and such I went to fart and go home and damn underwear a little bit of brown stain in there and I'm nice folks down there they went ahead and gave me a roll of toilet paper to use for I even purchased it I tell you the damnedest thing I ever seen

One of the older black managers is very nice and professional. The store is still filthy and I don't understand the reason for it.
