Dollar general is very convenient and they have almost any product you might need for a very competitive price. Plus the staff is very helpful if you are having trouble locating your desired goods. The parking lot is available from 3 separate entrances for easy accessibility

If u want free stuff come here / no one to even run the register they just sit in the back and talk.The only reason things are being rung out is honest customers.2 girls in there were just sitting in the back talking - zero f”s given lol.One lady just threw money down and walked out.

I gave up on ever going to the troy location. This place might as well not exist. Like, why are you here, Bethany!? Just stop pretending you're even a store. Never open. Never. It's like a night club and I'm just not on the list. I JUST WANTED CLING WRAP!

Had to shop around tons of big carts on the floor, there were displays cluttering up the aisles, their seasonal section was a hot mess I didnt want to even dig through it cause something would fall out on me...I dont know what happened to this store but it needs help. Like the last year has been a down hill go for this place

This DG is TERRIBLE, there have been 75 employees in 6 months and when they finally hire someone who can run the store, they waterboard here into submission. Now when i asked about what happened to her, i got told not to talk about it. DG is just a terrible company, overwork underpaid employees, trash management. She had that Dg is shape for the first time in years now its closed again every other day, signs on the doors all the time saying not enough people had to close. You are terrible at your jobs. Hire the lady back who ran your store properly.

The isles where block by new stock. I could hardly get down any isles to shop.It not only makes it hard to shop. BUT IT IS A Fire HAZARD!!!!

Great employees but their stuff is way over priced. I can buy the same things cheaper elsewhere. Store never looks clean and things don’t seem to be arranged in a sensible order. You can find soda in the back aisle and then two rows down you find another soda section... makes no sense. Guess it keeps you on your toes while you looking for a specific item.

Used to be great to shop in. Now that they have a new manager things are now no longer that great. Constantly avoiding big piles of freight everywhere can't get to anything because of the big piles of freight. Isles are a mess and never stocked. Not to mention they're having to constantly close this location during operation hours forcing me to drive further away to a different location.

Kept clean. Well stocked. Good selection. Qite happy with everything except the closure of registers at 9 when the store is available until 10. I don't work there and I do not want to check myself out. I appreciate the open till 10 (used to be 11) which was really great) but I want the customer service back.NOTE: TO THE BEST OF MY RESEARCH NOT ONE OF THE SELF SERVE MACHINES PAYS INTO SOCIAL SECURITY. THEY ARE ROBBING US WITH OUR PERMISSION!

Store is always a mess, never has what you are looking for, line is out of this world cause they put one register and a self checkout, and closes whenever they want. I would rather leave town then shop there

It was very clean, no public restroom but the staff was very nice. A few customers turned their noses up at me and my husband but racism is everywhere I guess. All and all my experience in the store was pleasant. It was a bit crowded when I went and everything was fully stocked.

This Dollar General is one of the best kept up as far as products not being scattered all over the store and also product inventory is much better. Has a lot more to choose from compared to most Dollar Generals I have been to especially the Granite City Dollar General which is out of most of their inventory. Great Job Troy Illinois Dollar General!

Dollar General is a pretty cool little store. You can find so many different products all over the place! Cosmetics and hygiene... birthday cards and wrapping paper... dishes and silverware... linens and cleaners....pet food and people food... honestly, just a little bit of everything! The store is clean and items are relatively easy to find. The employees are friendly.

Omg!I have not been for years.I was looking for Superglue and took a chance.Not only did they have it, they had all types of food and everyday things that normal I drive to Aldi's for out of town.I saw all types of name brand items and food. I was amazed!I am definitely going back soon when I have more time to shop.Btw! Everyone there working was so nice and helpful!

We now have a mini grocery store thanks to Dollar General. The selection is good with the normal food plus lots of refrigerated/ frozen foods, fresh produce, and a new streamline checkout. They really stepped up to help Troy.

They are always understaffed here, but they seem to hire the friendliest people. Whoever's in charge of hiring here seems to know how to pick them. They really do try their best to keep up with their limited staff, and they are always helpful. I'm not going to give them a lower review just because some people are too lazy to apply and get a job.

This store is stocked for 80-90 percent of what any house NEEDS and then some. But don't expect to find a WIDE variety of, say salad dressing. You'll find all of the usual flavors but don't expect to find basalmic or something soy-free. And, unless you've been in and really shopped it, add 15 minutes to your "dash in and put" schedule, so long as you don't ask questions. Happy hunting.

This store never seems to have the stuff the other dollar general stores have. Things are always out or stock. When I went to checkout recently the checker didn’t even offer a bag so I had to ask for one. I’d rather make the trip to Walmart and get everything I need without hassle.

Higher Management needs to stop pushing their employees to be out the door at closing time because the employees get upset when there is a long check out line before closing time. I asked why they were so upset and I was told that if they are not ready to close by 10 pm, they get in trouble....I did not feel that they should be held accountable for making money at 9:45 instead of sweeping! For this reason I only go there out of convenience but they are too bound by their protocols and it effects their business, they don't get mine like they were! They bag heavy items in tiny thin bags and tonight my Pepsi fell right out on the floor. They are told to not double bag anything.

There are a couple of snobby girls that works there. One gentleman that works there is so polite and helpful. I can usually find everything that I need real quick. I go in for one thing come out with several items. LOL!! Glad the store is here. One suggestion: need to build on a little bit just for the clothes. It's so congested in that area. Thank you.

They carry a lot of household essentials. Snacks, dry goods, paper products, cleaning supplies, pet products, clothes and shoes for men, women, and children. Also, pharmacy items. Personal cleaning items soaps, shampoos, body washes, various hair care. Very easy to find the items you need. Aisles are narrow. Staff is friendly.

Clean store, nice staff, recently updated resources as Troy lacks a grocery store as of 12/2019. However, I have literally never seen mozzarella cheese in their cheese section. There's a spot for it. Never there. End the cheese discrimination, DolGenCorp!

This store is super convenient being that we live in such a small town, customer service is always fast and friendly. My only complaint is that most times I can’t ever find the smaller items I need, it’s either not in stock or in an isle I would t think to look in.

The emploees that work here need to learn how to bag. They're always putting in so many powerades in one bag and not bothering to double bag them, unless told to do so. Heavy items will bust straight through. They will also put in small items with heavy items that would end up smashing them. It happens at least 90% of the time. Employees need training on how to bag correctly!!

Used to be 4 star but they renovated and only have 2 checkout lanes, which would be alright if they actually had the man power to handle the customers they bring in, wait in line is usually 7 minutes too long.
