This Aldis was bigger and cleaner than the one off North Dirkson. They have more name brand items. I know it's closer to Christmas but they did have much of merchandise at all.

I’m a newbie to Aldi. Went on a Saturday night in their last hour before closing so it was not at all crowded.Regarding prices & selection: I came needing strawberries and was so impressed by the price (on sale @ <$2/lb) that I bought two lbs and will freeze what I don’t use. Their overall selection across the board was better than I had expected. No, it can’t match the big chains but there’s a decent variety with most items being considerably cheaper than elsewhere. (Meat prices seemed comparable to Sam’s.) At the moment nationally, eggs are crazy-expensive running $8 but a dozen at Aldi are $4.63. My favorite cereal was <$2 which beats Sam’s price for a two-pack. Snacks, cheeses, packaged meals, seafood, frozen fruits & veggies, organic and some vegan options—I was pleased by all and will come back to check it out when I have more time.Regarding the physical store/personnel: The store was clean with nice, wide aisles. As a newbie, I would’ve appreciated an informational sign as I entered about their carts. I approached a cart and an employee immediately ran up to me and said, “That’s OUR cart!” Imagine being completely unaware of the way things work and you can understand that this was a bizarre statement to try to process. I mean, I KNOW the cart belongs to Aldi because…I’m shopping in an Aldi? My utter confusion must have been apparent because the guy went from quasi-aggressive to accommodating. He said I could use the cart if I promised to return it. I promised. And absolutely I returned it. Whew! Crisis averted without law enforcement.There was a dude driving a floor sweeper inside who seemed really perturbed that there were shoppers present. Instead of saying excuse me or asking to pass, he just tailgated me very-very-very closely. I thought about brake-checking him but I remembered that my body stood between the front of his vehicle and the back of my cart. I pulled over. I’m almost certain he appreciated it.

Rebecca the cashier is rude, condescending, petty and racist and apparently feels as though Aldi is so short handed her job is totally secure. It probably is since the manager stands there like a scared little boy afraid to make her behave accordingly. My two year old grandson has more guts!!Update: went back and avoided her by using the self checkout lane, which was a much more friendly option. As I was walking out, this woman hollers across the room while waiting on another customer to berate me for my previous review. Very professional to say the least. But the real kicker is that here it is ten days later and I end up at a checkout next to this garbage at another store and she still can’t let it go!! She starts an argument and the lady waiting on her couldn’t get her to shut up long enough to cash her out…this all started over a cart, by the way. Waiting for corporate to call me back again after I managed to get my hands on the district managers cell. We will see if they want to tolerate it or if I should follow up with law enforcement. Was told after today they have enough for harassment.

Excellent prices and quality. You are not going to find a better value anywhere. Sure they can be beat on prices here and there. But overall you will always pay less at Aldi's and get just as good if not better quality products. I have been going to them for over 20 years now and I will probably not be changing anytime soon.

I will always love Aldi. Best prices in town. Great produce. Yes you need to bring a quarter, your own bags....and sometimes you gotta dig for the type of canned waters you want but it is worth it!

It has changed, they now have self checkouts. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that.Great way of going about the business of a grocery store, if just makes sense. Good deals. Decent selection across a range of staple items and also includes some outside of the box options to consider, its differently fun. Bring your own bags and a quarter to borrow a cart and you're all set for the Aldi experience.

Love Aldi, they have items you cannot find in regular supermarket. Prices are amazing, fresh produce, the only thing I don't like is they don't have bags and I always forget and have a hard time carrying the groceries to the car.

They are partners with Trader Joe's. If you love Trader Joe's you will love AldiThey have their own brands mostly. Delicious chocolate from Germany which is the best chocolate and it is reasonable. If you are German they have delights throughout the year. Different soups, rye bread, brats and much more. Save money and eat delicious food. If you tried Aldi in the past try them again. Everything is wonderful including the produce.

While shopping at Aldi’s on 3765 Octavus Via, I decided to use the restroom however one restroom door was locked (both are Gender restrooms). The restroom that was open had the door propped open by a cleaning bottle and nobody was around, and no traditional warning sign (by Law) was present that the bathroom was closed.I thought someone may have previously cleaned the bathroom and left the door propped open to ‘air out’ due to the chemical smell since the floor was totally dry. I few second later I could hear the bathroom door handle violently shake and a janitor loudly saying 'What idiot entered his bathroom'. It was obvious to me this janitor returned to the restroom to collect his cleaning supplies but had some serious personal issues instead.I called for the store manager ‘Chris’ and the janitor continued to call me an ‘idiot’ multiple times in the present of the store manager. The store manager never said a word to the janitor. Instead, the store manager encouraged me to call corporate office and file a complaint instead of him doing his job.

This is my regular store. Today I had to speak to 3 employees to get to talk to a manager. One of the employees was not wearing a mask. The manager asked her to put it on. She did but with her nose out. He had to tell her again. I usually spend over $100 per trip and always buy gift cards there. Today I left with only 34 dollars worth of groceries. Hopefully it will improve before my next visit.

I went in for a couple things. I was able to find almost everything. No beef stew packet? I noticed some gardening items have come in! Nice selection of fitness items and workshop items. I'll have to go back when I have more time. Employees were helpful and friendly, as usual. I was helped on the floor

Always a easier to go to Aldi's in Springfield. No matter the location Aldi's consistently beats out major competitors by having unique and organic food and I love the home products they have brought to the stores.

Aldi still continues to impress me. They actually have some quality decent food to offer. A lot of it is on the healthy end. They have a fairly wide selection of organic food also. Can't beat the prices. We can't get everything on our list there but most of it! The guy who came up with this idea is a genius! 👍

This store has been extensively revamped in recent months. It's bright, clean, and inviting, with prices that are easier on the wallet and family friendly variety in most foods. Gluten free options keep growing, and you'll find plenty of fresh and frozen foods to keep the family happy. There's even a fair selection of drinks for the grownups to go with, before, or after dinner. It's well worth a visit. Put a quarter in the slot to free a shipping cart and retrieve it when you return the cart. No fears of dented fenders from loose carts here.

I felt invited into this store as soon as I parked! Clean, bright, wide aisles. Well stocked, great selections in produce and pre packaged foods. Check out lanes always had lines, they move quickly. Great over all place. See you soon

Sadly disappointed with this location. Aldi has always been my place to go for all my grocery shopping. The last few orders at this branch have had 5-10 basic items that have not been available. Today, I went to return a food product and the lady was just snippy and rude throughout. And it wasn’t even busy. And I was having such a nice day too. =( Will be going to a different location from now on.

Was an Aldi skeptic until I shopped there a few times. Pros: good variety of international foods, lack of options for items (only 1 brand available so saves time deciding), most food staples available, phenomenal quality meat selections, great selection of prepared vegetarian items, always something new to try & good prices. Going has dropped my grocery shopping trip from 60 minutes to 20 minutes. Cons: Always crowded, lack of options for items (if you don't like the brand; no other brand to try). Already brought own shopping bags to store but this may be an adjustment for some shoppers.

ALDI has always had great prices. After the recent renovation the store is much more organized and follows the product layout flow of most major chains. The staff is always working hard to get people checked out quickly.

This store is always clean and sanitary.. I’ve always loved the ALDI business model they don’t have people going to get carts they rent you a cart a quarter at a time... they have you box or bag your own groceries away from others and the store is setup for you to always move towards the cashier

This is absolutely my favorite Aldi store in town. They are super friendly, accommodating, fresh food all the time, constantly stocking and if they see a line is building up at checkout someone will radio for help. I've left the west side location just because they let the line build up and they had a nice sized staff. Thank you for being a great store and having superb customer service.
