I am so pissed. Took my mower to Rural King for a simple oil change get it back 2 weeks later squeaking horribly making a horrible noise that it never made before. Why someone didn't notice it before they brought it to my house loading it or unloading it or even after they fixed it I will never know. I just had a new engine put on my zero turn Gravely the year before it should be in great shape. Now I don't even know if it will run right or mow . it never should have been returned to me in that condition!!! An oil change is all I wanted.. and also years ago my husband and I had taken a mower in to be worked on and they literally brought it back in pieces and put it up against our garage it was no longer a flipping mower it was just pieces! And we have been calling asking to talk to the manager for 5 days but he is never in wth? Paul returns my call after reading this and yells and curses to a woman over the phone

Will not honor battery warranties. Noone will help you at parts counter. You can wait for 20 minutes and noone will do their job. Used to be a great place but it has fallen big time. Just save yourself a headache and drive to Bucheits in Centralia or go to the Rural king in Mt.vernon.

Rural King in Salem almost always has exactly what I need. The workers are always willing to help with getting the bigger things to my truck if I need the assistance. I am of the pre-super Wal-Mart generation so I like the more "mom and pop" atmosphere of Rural King as well. I will always recommend Rural King to anyone. Be safe and be happy everyone.

First time here to purchase dog food. The employees are very helpful. I asked an employee for help loading the dog food onto my shoulder as my one had just got stitches. She kindly told my she's got it, took it to the register and then to the trunk of my car. I'll be visiting this store more often.

Very cool place. They had bunnies for sale, popcorn to munch on, very helpful people. Mike was very nice and helped us thru our trip. Puppy shots available only unfortunately. No kittens. Lots of stuff that you need.

Went in looking for some loctite brand expanding foam. Unfortunately they don't carry that brand. Boohoo. Tha sucked because I had to go to a different town to get it. But the store employee was very helpful and done everything he could. So I didn't walk away too upset. Thanks again Salem Rual King.

This is my go to place for just about everything but food. If they don't have it, they can get it. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They will go out of their way to help you find things. Best of all, they're expanding!!!

Nice store with a large variety of items. You can find just about anything there that youight need. Lots of neat gifts as well. Very knowledgeable & helpful staff. Store is very clean as well

Great local farm supply store. Prices can be high at times so shop the sales. Has a decent self-serve nuts and bolts department including a good selection of bulk hardware. Gun counter is OK but prices seem high. They sometimes have interesting ammo for sale that no one else around sells. They sell rugged and name brand outdoor clothing but again, prices are a little high on these items. Make use of the deep discount clearance sales for deals on Berne, Carhartt, Browning, etc. Sometimes they have good deals on boots as they clearance them out. Nice selection of "country" foodstuffs and local products like Excell sodas and Salsa Rose. Never know what you're going to find at what price when you shop here. The owner is very helpful and kind and is often found on the floor making sure customers find what they need.
