Horrible customer service. Both the younger lady and the older lady were rude. The younger lady was very ignorant in explaining certain things in the dollar general app to me. First timer using coupons, there were some great deals for certain items. But definitely won’t be going back to this store. Maybe train the staff not to be clueless about coupons that apply to their own store. Beloit staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, if you’re looking for great customer service and friendly knowledgeable staff, 2240 Prairie Ave store in Beloit… It’s worth the drive!

It’s a handy store to grab a few things, but customer service tonight was horrible. A lady in dark hair checked me out. Rang up my things and put the receipt in the bag without once looking at me, no smile or even a thank you. How rude.

Wouldnt let my 8 year old child use their restroom. 80% of their employees are great.. but im a blue collar, tax paying citizen.. so i feel thats laughable to not allow a child to go potty.. too bad. Low morality bar if you ask me. I spend a lot of money here and am always extra respectful, so I dont appreciate that much. Lost some respect from a wholesome, honest person, thats for sure.

DG is a big name, everyone knows what to expect. This location is on the smaller side, but kept clean and well stocked. Employees are helpful and kind, pointing out sales and deals and helping you save money. They have cigarettes and a couple refrigerators for food, and some of those basic daily needs you always seem to run out of.

This is my go to store in a pinch since I live close by so I am biased. I like the staff and yes even though it is a little dirty sometimes and stuff moves around and is stocked weird, it sure is handy. Prices are good and I have not had a bad experience with the staff contrary to some other reviews. I would argue that a rude staff encounter is more likely the exception not the rule.

Why would Dollar General have to scan your ID for purchasing cigarettes. I’m 60. Especially with COVID right now I don’t think I should have to hand them my drivers license to scan. Employees lie and say it’s a state law, which it is not. The employees, rude is an understatement.

What happened to this family friendly place? I walked in on MLK birthday to hear 2 employees that were stocking yelling across the store to each other. Most of the conversation had nothing to do with the task at hand. Mostly "I do my job and this is your job and that isn't my job". The Pepsi driver delivering items was very friendly and nice. The older gentleman that checked me out was clearly embarrassed about the behavior of others. Then one of the employees stood in the front of the store and belched over and over as I was checking out. Gross. Excuse yourself you disgusting freak. I did not say anything at the time because a person who clearly has no manners during work hours will most likely not give a rats butt what a customer says. Roscoe Dollar Store, get your store in check before more people like me start hacking out other stores. _

I love this store! They have just about everything and the prices are great! Only items I don't think they have are alcohol, produce, and a meat counter. Seriously, they have everything else! Their staff are great and always willing to help.

The young girls in here are non stop cussing in the store, around customers, around other stockers, with no shame what so ever. In a place of business that's unacceptable. I shouldn't be avoiding bringing my kids into the dollar store for fear of what they might here. Ridiculous.

James, the store manager, would not honor a credit promised to me by their shift manager, Nikki. Kurt, another employee there, was rude one night at closing time and would not honor a Saturday special store coupon. That's why I was given the 5$ credit in the first place. I have been a customer for 10 years. When I left the store shocked by James' behavior toward me (for asking to use the credit) I realized I made a huge mistake! I left my keys on the counter. My husband went back inside only to be told by James that he didn't have them! Screwed twice. I hope to hear soon from the district manager, Teresa. Will update. I'm shocked, disappointed, and upset. All over 5$!

Decent on prices usually friendly employees have to bring own sanitizer or wipes for the carts I've yet to c any in the stores I shop and I dont like all of the signs about correct change only

This us a good dollar general. Last time I was in the milk case was drastically low. She said they were waiting for a delivery. All in all - good.

Our local Big Box Discount retailer. Friendly staff, reasonable hours. Adjacent to Walmart Parking Lot for easy access, right off the interstate on Rockton Road.
