I was a lil skeptic goin in this establishment. The exterior almost made me turn back 2 my truck...but once inside...WhoaWhoaWhoa!!! The smell of fresh coffee & homecookin...the ambience & cleanliness, omg! So glad we gave it a chance, our waitress was amazing, the food was amazing! Will definitely come back here when we're in the area!Vegetarian options: There's plenty of vegetables if that's ur thing

Cute little local stop off of I-70! It was quick and really good! They had a lot of cobblers I wish I could’ve tried.I forgot my purse there and they kept it safe for me until the next day :) I really appreciated it!

Went in to pick up my order thinking “I will only be spending 25 or 30 dollars for two appetizers and 1 meal” but was I sorely mistaken. The cashier told me that the total was $45 and some change, which I was very surprised by, and she politely broke down my receipt for me. The price of the appetizer stood out to me she said “$12 for each mini corn dog appetizer”. The photo below is what I received for my 12 dollars. I’m a little confused right now since all of the menus posted say this appetizer was $8.95. I’m wondering is there a mark up for take out orders? Or did the prices increase since those menus were posted?

Looks a bit sketchy from outside, but I think it is a little known secret. The server was nice, answered our questions and gave us time to look over the menu. She kept an eye on us and came back when we set the menus down. I ordered the two grilled pork loins with vegetable soup and green beans. My husband got garlic Parmesan wings and a “small chef salad”. When the food came, there were 3 pork loins and the server explained that they looked in the small side, so they gave me 3 and only charged for 2. My husbands salad filled a dinner plate and was piled high. The food all tasted great and we were pleasantly surprised. We are glad we ended up here and gave it a try.

Food was once pretty good. Now it's kind of average. The prices are way too expensive for what they now serve. Take cash or you'll have to use their ATM with an expensive transaction fee. They don't take plastic. The place has a rustic look, which is neat.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu is available if you like paying almost $10 for each kids meal.

Restaurant is much nicer inside than it appears from the outside! I had wonderful fried walleye fish fillets with homemade potato salad and homemade vegetables soup! The restaurant is very popular with locals for breakfast lunch and dinner and offers a wide array of sandwiches, burgers, wings, and dinner entrees! they also have about five flavors of ice cream and various cakes and pies and cobblers! CASH OR CHECKS ONLY! NO CREDIT CARDS!

I would call this your typical road side diner.The food is good, but overpriced. $9 for 2 pancakes, they were decent size but c'mon. I regret not taking a pic of the menu.Cute atmosphere, average service, good coffee.The place looks run down on the outside but the whole town does.Also, they only accept cash! 2 customers while we were there had to leave to go get cash because there's no sign saying no credit cards.

Eat here! Or get a drink here (they have beer and liquor)! We stopped in on a Friday at almost 6pm and got our food in under 10 minutes. Our waitress and the other waitresses were so nice and enjoyable to talk to. They have a large menu with plenty of options. Close to the interstate. You can't beat it for a cozy, tasty, quick bite!

We have driven past here for over 40 years but had never eaten here before today. When we entered, there was some old family friends we hadn't seen in years. Then at the next table was a family with 3 cute little girls that were very friendly. Then our waitress was wonderful and helpful. I have a lot of food allergies but she was able to help me find food that would work for me. I love breakfast for lunch but there is a lot of corn and milk in those foods. She got me real maple syrup ( instead of maple flavored corn syrup) to go on my french toast. It was really good.

Great value. They serve huge portions of good food at Powhatan Restaurant. The parking lot is just off of I70, and the sign is visible right off the exit. There is a Powhatan motel as well. We had the pigs in a blanket with blueberry pancakes and the eggs benedict. Both were delicious.

I love the small town atmosphere here! The food has been very good and reasonable each time I've been here.Parking: Tractor trailer parking out back of restaurant and motel all in same location.

Excellent breakfast selection. We Had the Pocahontas breakfast & Atkins omelet very fulfilling. The place has a home away from home feeling. They have semi truck parking behind the building. They do NOT accept plastic but their ATM DOES 😁

We just got in to the area after driving from Kansas we were tired and hungry so after finding and checking in to a hotel we goggle restaurants that was open and found this restaurant open about & this is great they close at 4 am we were overjoyed my husband ordered the pork chops both fried and grilled he enjoyed it I got the wings with French fries it was ok the spicy mango sauce was good but i wish my wings were softer but that just me. They serve breakfast all night I guess to accommodate travelers and the truckers. My only frustration was we had already check in a motel 13 minutes away only to realize there is a hotel right where the restaurant was.
