Yikes!!!! Who the heck is managing this store?!?!? Filthy , I’ve never been into a thrift store so dirty and unorganized in my life ! Literally garbage all over the floor , stuff everywhere. I would be embarrassed to say I managed such a place! Trip hazards everywhere!

Why get stuck wearing what everyone else has? Why pay full price for name brand clothing? At Goodwill you don't have to do either of those. It's amazing to me the things that get dropped off for resale! It's not uncommon to see brand new items that have never been worn. The staff are always helpful. Stop on by, you never know what you might find!

Go to Ottawa goodwill instead way better and nicer and better prices as well as 1.50 sale days. Idk who runs Peru's goodwill but it's awful. Way overpriced, jammed packed to the rim can't even look through clothes because it's so full. And the shelves are the same. Broken junk being sent out on the floor... I saw a baby pack n play they had set up... It was so nasty dirty covered in brown filth it wasn't even the color it was supposed to be.. why sell that n not pitch it... Seriously. Do better. Should of left it how it used to be the old building was better and run better.

It's frustrating that goodwill no longer stands for "good will". Goodwill IL now has an ebay-like auction site!? So anything decent gets sent to the auction....so they can make more money. Is that how that works??? So all that's left in the stores for affordable prices is the bottom of the barrel items. I'd truly like to know how that works?

I'm giving four stars simply because of them trying to keep pricing the same as ebay. If I'm shopping a thrift store it's because I am trying to save money (not pay retail). But I get it I witness at this goodwill all the time resellers taking all items off the racks and leaving it all scattered in the aisle ways. It's inevitable when your blatantly obvious at what your doing and creating more work for the store.

The workers are very rude. A very short women employee body checked me to get me out of her way while I was looking at clothes instead of just saying “excuse me” and looked me dead in the eyes after with no apology.

Peru goodwill should really consider color coordinating and not putting all baby/toddler clothes all together.The old location was much better, organized. Every time that I have stepped into the new location it’s always stressful, what a mess!! Not worth going into! I’d give this place 0 stars if I could.Only goodwill I know that is horribly in organized.

It's usually overpriced for items that were given to them for free. Home decor items are practically at resale prices. One item was literally $3.00 cheaper here than what I saw it brand new at the non thrift store.The staff are friendly and helpful.

Called to see if they had an item in, told me they did so I made the drive from Ottawa to then arrive and see that the card readers don’t work. Would have been nice to know before I decided to drive down here for absolutely nothing.

Have mixed feelings on this place. It gets 4 stars because of previous visits. Pickings we're slim on many items, seemed like they didn't have many great deals, just basic items. The clothing was sorted by size but many things we're misplaced. I heard the standard excuse- oh the customers do that, but I think it's a cop out answer. Staff was friendly.

My wife and I can ALWAYS find a bargain at Goodwill. Knowing that the facility helps so many locals is the reason we shop. Unlike some that claim local assistance. Now that they’ve moved closer to our Favorite Peru establishments there’s no reason to visit the west side. They’re all within walking Distance.

Update: they're doing better*****After years of loyalty to Goodwill, I finally am throwing in the towel on this particular store. If you love looking for that diamond in the rough, this is not your stop. It's worth the drive to Batavia, DeKalb or Peoria.Their sortation and organization has always left a bit to be desired compared to the other stores in Illinois, but with their move to the current location, their prices and abysmal customer service has finally convinced me that I'll stick with the local competition or perhaps even Salvation Army (although their politics bother me).Why is it that when stores move locations, they so seldom maintain the operation that made them successful? What a shame.

Awful place to shop. Refused to return broken item within 30 minutes of purchasing, there was no way of knowing it was broken before purchase. Lady was rude, I believe her name was Karen. This store pretty much stole my money, I was going to just leave the item there because they wouldn't return it and was no good to me broken. The lady said I could leave it there but she had to mark my receipt. My cost was $25 for stuff that should belong in the trash. The fact she was willing to keep it there was just awful because she'd turn around and resold it again. Glad I'm not from this area, I won't ever have to shop there again. Greedwill should be the name.

I love Goodwill...my mom shopped for clothes for me when I was younger and I have found some really nice clothes for my kids there too. I just wash them when I get home.

The employees are friendly and helpful however the store is very dimly lit. It's not easy to see the condition or actual color of the items.
