Went to Petco today because my son said he wanted to buy some gerbils so we went there to see what they had. The girl working there was very helpful and explaining to us how gerbils are happier when they're paired up. She was very knowledgeable and we appreciated the information that she gave us. Always love seeing the animals that they have here and prices are great too especially Black Friday deals!

This store is utter trash and managed just the same. People (the workers) have always been friendly. My problem is supply and demand as I recently explained to a friend. "They have a toaster and butter but no bread."The entire time I've been a customer they've had listed python no-spill connection for a sink but never had the product. They sell filters but many times no replacement parts/ media. I've got plenty of examples of varied products and they continually fail to deliver.

The ASSISTANT to the store manager, not the store manager, is absolutely horrible. I've never had such a horrible experience with a transaction. She has the worst attitude, rude, impatient, short tempered, and the worst customer service. She double charged me, I told her it said accepted twice. She told me no, ignored me and walked away without addressing the issue. Refused to ensure a refund or any polite way of resolving the issue when showing her my card was indeed charged twice on my account. Told me "sounds like your banks problem, take it up with them". Bagged the beta without telling me, no "careful with this bag, the fish is in there" just dumped the bags. If it wasn't for the floor employee, Paige, this would get 0 or 1 star. Thank you Paige for being kind to my daughter, welcoming, and helpful.

Brianna was so helpful to me when I was trying to pick out my Betta fish and other supplies. I even called several times to ask questions about water maintenance ect. She was so helpful even when it was obvious she was working the cash register too. With her help, I bought a Male Betta and 3 Gold Dust Molly's for my new aquarium. I've never had fish before, and I'm loving it so far. I was concerned about Betta being with other fish, but they are all getting along very well. Bri is very knowledgeable about many fish. I went somewhere else in East Peoria before going to Petco in Pekin. I was misinformed about a lot of things. I will definitely go to Petco in Pekin for all my pet needs from now on. Thanks Brianna for all your help. I finally named them yesterday. Here's a picture of them. My Betta is Blue Gotti, the biggest Gold Dust Molly is Big Al (after Al Capone), Second Molly is Bugsy (Malone), and 3rd one is Bonnie (Bonnie and Clyde)... Guess I went with all "B"s. Mostly rude employees that call you a liar upon returning something. Then repackage the broken item and restock it. Won't be back, if you do shop here check over tanks an whatnot before you buy them.

They have almost everything we need. Not all the same stuff as petsmart has, but they still have alot. Even Eukanuba dog food!! We buy our doggies all of their Christmas presents here because the sales are amazing. And a bonus, every single staff member is so friendly and helpful. They're patient and care about the animals annnd give them treats at the counter. Definitely recommend.

I went into the store to inquire about things I need for a new puppy. The store staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I was intrigued by the fish and stopped to look. I left with an aquarium and everything I need but fish. I would have gotten those also but need my new aquarium to get set up and ready. I was so impressed by the knowledge this store employee had. I'm coming back for fish.

Was looking at fish tanks, they have a wide variety. I wanted to ask a few questions before purchasing, only saw the one worker there, who was talking to some people she knew. I looked around til they left. Then didn't see her at all. When I did finally see her, she was tagging items and looked like she didn't want to be there or be bothered. So, I left. I might try another day or go to another store

Great store. Lots of variety. Workers were pleasant enough, but not much help on the floor. 4 were standing behind the checkouts talking. One was stocking and when I went toward them to ask a question, they left. Easy to find stuff though so it wasn't a big deal.

We will no longer buy any fish here. Every single fish has died within 2 weeks. We have several different tanks in our home. It is definitely not our tank water. All of the fish we buy from other fish stores has lived for a long time.

Going into Petco we're greeted everytime, unless the employees are hdlping other customers which is toally understandable because everyone works hard here. All employees are very helpful when it comes to any questions that we may have as well. Very nice kept up place too

The girl that helped me was knowledgeable and friendly. We discussed flea options for my dog. Everything for monthly treatment to shampoo to ointment for sores. She even mentioned that the salon can provide a flea service with an oatmeal bath that can be booked by calling or scheduled online. I will definitely go back!

I like this store, but the cashier who helped me today had the worst attitude I have ever seen. She was rolling her eyes at me from the moment I walked in the door, and absolutely refused to be helpful in any way. Ashley. Who I later found out is a manager of this store should never be in customer service.

We were having trouble using the Petco app and they stepped in to help. We appreciate you and thank you. This is seriously the best service that we have ever had. 10/10

I placed an order for 2 tanks, I go get them and asked for help loading the one 40 gallon I got. The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude. She acted like I had to get it on my own as she didnt have the 30 seconds to help me. Those tanks weigh, I have a have a bum arm and can't lift anyways. As she called for someone, she said 'well I can man handle those on my own'. Just absurdly b*itchy and rude. Absolutely not needed and will never be coming to the Pekin location again.

Placed an order today for same day delivery set for between 4-6pm and no delivery. Called store and they said it was sitting there and didn't know when or if it was coming. Totally clueless and no help so I canceled my order and will not be ordering from them again. Very poor customer service and didn't seem to even care. Wish there was option for zero stars as they failed miserably.

Made my first visit there today after becoming a first time puppy owner. The store was a little hard to navigate to find what I wanted. There seems to be way too many leashes, toys and collars that you have to work past and it wasn't obvious to me when sections changed from dog to cat or other animals. I finally tracked an employee down for help (they weren't proactive in asking if I needed help). I'll still rate it 4 stars since it seems to have most everything you'd need for a pet but it could be an easier shopping experience.

Cashier Skylar he was very rude and it was an embarrassment the way I was treated when there were more customers in line behind me. 1st I stopped him on the floor to ask where the KMR was for kittens he pointed it out I couldn't find it because u only have a very small area at the end of a shelf and the rest was for dogs so i seen him at the register told him i didn't c it so he sighed and walked over to show me and he pointed out said right there I said sorry I didn't see it than check out time he rang my stuff up i paid for it I'm like wait how much was this he said 20$ I'm like no it said 9.99$ i said can u just refund it? He snatched it picked it up and tossed it. IF I shop n there again I WILL NOT purchase my items if he is the Cashier. I work retail for 23 yrs at the same place and u can't take your frustrations out on a customer just because your having a bad day or don't want to be there. I don't complain because retail u have a lot of complaints so I usually call or talk to a lead to say a GOOD complement about the employee but unfortunately not this time..
