The best restaurant breakfast I have ever had! The food was all high quality and “real” unlike some breakfast places. The portions were also HUGE! I ate the Paxton Skillet and the kiddos had pancakes with eggs, bacon and sausage! Definitely worth the drive! The place was also very clean and well kept for a small place! The waitresses were very friendly. Highly recommend!

Negative stars for service and food, if you ever get either. 1st time service took 45 minutes and food came out cold. Tried weeks later thinking it could only get better. NOT. After 1 hour, I finally got only my breakfast, finished it and my wife never got her order. We asked and asked. Upon leaving, we went to complain to the manager/ mom, who was eating at the counter. We were shocked to see her eating the very breakfast that was unique to my wife's order. When we complained, we were yelled at by the staff. Never ever saw anything like this before.Dietary restrictions: If you do happen to see your server after you sit down, don't ask about gluten free. You'll never get anything.

Wish I had seen the "best when hungover and hungry" review before we went in or left when the mold smell hit me....... Server came over to take our order, drop the food and then only came back to ask if we wanted boxes. I told her the food was disgusting. She took it away and brought our $20 check without uttering even an attempt at "sorry". Won't be returning. Couldn't even get the gravy right. No seasoning and it sticks to your fork even when it is sideways! The biscuits were drowning in the slop!

On the way home from Chicago Airport and needed a place to eat. Let's be fair here and note the facts: I'm tired, been on a long flight, emotional, and ready to be out of an u comfortable truck. With that being said, it shouldn't take a phone call asking the person where the heck their restaurant is located. Google maps kept saying I had arrived and I just wasn't seeing it. The diner lacks advertising on their building. Strike one! The server was very friendly and appeared to enjoy her work. I ordered spaghetti with chicken parmesan, salad, and garlic bread. The hubby got a cheeseburger ans fries, and my mom got a BLT with cole slaw. My husband said his food was delicious and it really did look appetizing. My mom's sandwich was barley a BLT because it only had 1 strip of bacon folded in half in each side of the sandwich. That's just cruel and unjust to do that to any sandwich! Lol. My spaghetti plate was enough to serve 3 people! The cook deep fried the chicken in too hot oil for sure. It was very crispy, almost to the burnt point. At the end of day, this is a very small town restaurant where everyone knows everyone and they come back because the service and food. They have a bar here too, along with some gambling games. For three meals the cost was under $35.

It is what you expect.... greasy spoon cafeteria calibur comfort food. Wonderful owner who is very active with customers and wait staff. Plenty of room for all. Just not a higher food experience if that is what you are looking for. Good salads. Very clean. Good lighting.....very impressive from a restaurant that has been in continuous service for over 100 years.

Was there for a Fire Chief's meeting so was in the side room. The food was very good especially the chicken. It had some lemon flavored seasoning and was very moist. It was pre-ordered so not sure what it was called. The mashed potatoes were very good as well. Didn't have the gravy as I have Celiac and can't have wheat, they were very good without.Would go back when in the area.

Pulled off the interstate for some gas in Paxton for gas and asked for some local places to eat for lunch and decided to try this place. I'm glad I did because the food was very good and the service was amazing as well. Very friendly waitress who checked on us frequently. Cheeseburger was as good as advertised and the apple pie was delicious. My only knock would be the lack of signage outside which I found out was because of the mayor of the town. I highly recommend this small town place. I'll be back sometime soon.

Went there for the first time with my friend who knew about it and she had been there before. The service was excellent, the food was excellent and prices were very reasonable. Very nice and clean. I would definitely look forward to going back again. They just need to get some kind of signage on the front of the building because unless you know where it's at it's not real easy to find even though it's on the main drag of downtown Paxton.

I've been coming to the Arcade off and on for many years now and have never been disappointed. They recently remodeled and it has a nice fresh feel when you walk in. I come in for breakfast and usually get the same thing, the garbage skillet with gravy on top. For the big breakfast eater, such as myself, you will not leave here hungry with the generous portions you get here and it won't hurt your wallet either.

We've eatten here with family multiple times; usually for birthdays and we're never disappointed! The prices are even reasonable and gracious portions.Kid-friendliness: Easy, friendly options. 👌 our little guy is always happy with his plate.

Food is great. Just very bad service lately walk in there to pick up my food and left standing there and ignored. But they help the people behind me and had an additude with me for some reason. I use to go in there once a week now with that service. Like i said the food is reallly good there

Awesome food and attentive service. The Skillet plates are amazing. I can personally recommend the chicken fajita skillet and my wife loves the waitress skillet. We wish we could bring this restaurant with us on travels.

Theres always something new to try & if not, the same thing you order will always come out as expected. Its a great family environment and you can tell their service remembers a lot about their regulars. Their food is always great and we love coming back!
