We love Gerald! Always treats our dogs so well and they get so excited to see him! Every time we go on a trip ots so comforting to know the dogs are going on their own little vacation too! Scheduling is always easy and quick, we have suggested this place to many friends and they have very positive things to say as well.

Not a good experience. I left 2 German shepherds, one 3 yrs. Old and one 7 mos. Old. They were there for a week and I called a couple of times to see how they were and they would only say good. No details at all. I picked them up and their toys and bedding smelled if urine. Our 7 mos. Has lost her voice and has not barked since, she is on steroids and antibiotics now and this is post 4 days now since picking them up. Our 3 old has had diarrhea and vomiting since we brought her home, she too has been prescribed antibiotics and a power to be put on her food. Obviously this place was too stressful for them. I don't believe they got any care at all, they were just stuck in a caged room. They offer a lot of things to entice you to bring your pets there but I believe it is only a ploy . Boarding cost us over $500 dollars and vet bills a lot more. I would NOT recommend this place. And is all they would tell me is they are good? Hmmm.

We have boarded our big labradoodle here for the last several Thanksgivings. He's been well cared for each time. The owner is very warm and was exceptionally accommodating this year. Our dog was healthy, happy and full of energy when we picked him up. Thank you Paws Here!

We brought in our 6 month old bully/Russel mix puppy for some private training, as we were experiencing some behavioral issues with him - biting, resource guarding, barking, etc.We LOVED the team of trainers we met here: Diane and Gerald.We worked mostly with Diane. She is a bit quirky, but she is EXTREMELY knowledgeable on dogs and training techniques. She has a long and impressive history in horse and dog training and it really showed. She was able to provide us with tools that were not simply "found online" or "typical", as we found that most of the typical tools you find online were not working for our pup. She geared all training towards HIS specifics needs, based on observations she made about his particular behaviors. She has a lot of knowledge about different dog types and how they act or perform differently based on these things. She also worked specifically with both my partner and I's own techniques and what we each had to individually work on to ensure that the training would be best received by our pup.Gerald was great as well. Super knowledgeable, and friendly. They often brought other dogs of theirs to show a proper behavior or to interact with our pup. They geared everything specifically towards us, so it was truly a custom experience for us here.I am so so glad we went here instead of elsewhere or instead of doing a joint obedience class. We bought a few classes up front, and the bundle saved us a little bit of money. But honestly was so worth the price (and was cheaper than any of the other private lessons I looked into in the area). The methods are a bit unconventional, and Diane was very upfront about that from the beginning. Our puppy and our methods of interacting with him have changed drastically because of this training. I have even begun adopting these techniques for our older dog. This will forever change the way I look at dog training.. as it is very clearly not a "one-size-fits-all" practice, and Diane and Gerald really showed us that.Overall, don't be fooled by some of these bad reviews. They went though some staffing changes recently, which may have contributed. As far as the smell goes.. well.. it's a dog boarding facility. It does not appear gross or unclean at all, just smells a bit of urine and is something that you get used to after being there for a bit. I was pretty put off by it at first, but glad I overlooked it. We also did these sessions in the dead of winter. Diane has told us that they often do training outside once weather cooperates.Pay these guys a visit for your training needs.. you won't regret it!

Not sure what to say here. Puppy came home very stressed and had diarrhea for three days. She is fine now. She has been boarded many times with no issues. i guess we had been lucky until this kennel. Or, was it the kennel? The owner was away and you how that can be when the boss is away.

I was so worried Abt cost and if my baby would be comfortable with a boarding place and she absolutely was in the best hands!!! Will definitely choose here in the future if needed!! They took amazing care of my baby and she was well loved in their care. Thank you!!!!! Thank you so much!!!

I was so impressed with the exterior, interior and staff. In fact I posted on Facebook that my dogs "hotel" may be nicer than mine. Then I picked him up at the end of our vacation. His blanket was dripping of urine. Although I gave them a paper with all of his information with pictures of his belongings they didn't have everything together and had to "find" them. You can ask anyone, my dog NEVER goes potty in the house. So why would his blanket be dripping in urine? We won't be back. My dog is my family and it saddens me that this happened.

I absolutely love Judy! She is the best, I mean best, groomer/boarding facility. She is so caring and loving. This place is the only facility I will take my dog Gismo to. He is very shy and scared because of his past abuse and he loves Judy! She also has helped me in some situations where I needed expedited help and allowed that to happen. I don’t have one bad thing to say about her or the facility. I recommend this place for all your doggie and other animal needs. She offers a lot of great deals and has wonderful prices. I am very picky and have dealt with groomers in the Peru/Lasalle area and they SUCK compared to JUDY!!!!!💜 I have no idea what I would do if she was not in the area! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING YOUVE DONE FOR GISMO AND I. We cherish the quality of your care and respect your experience of 10+ years. She deserves an award in this area for how great of work she does.

I can't begin to praise enough about Paws Here Pet Resort. I have two dogs that I boarded here for a week. My dogs loved it!One of my dogs had a bad experience with boarding at another facility. He had always been very nervous, upset, didn't want to eat, and even growled when I boarded him elsewhere. So I stopped boarding them and began driving them 4 hours to my in-laws to be taken care of. I did not trust anyone with them.This time I had no choice but to board them. My neighbor spoke very highly of this pet resort so I figured I would give it a try.My daughter and I first visited the resort to see what it was like. The first thing my daughter said when we walked in was "It smells like a swimming pool". She was exactly right. The place is so clean that it smelled like a swimming pool. The lady there showed us around. As she did, she also interacted with the dogs that were boarding there. I could tell she was an animal lover as the dogs seemed to take to her as well.The following week I boarded my dogs. When I returned to pick them up- I expected to find my one dog shaking in a corner as he had previously at other facilities. He had truely always HATED to be boarded. Much to my surprise, before he even saw me, he came down the hall wagging his tail as happy as if he were at home and then he walked over to a man that was at the front desk and put his head one the mans lap. He wasn't nervous at all. It was abvious that the staff there had spend quality time with them just by his reactions. He seemed so happy and I was so relieved.My dogs are like my babies and I am VERY picky about thier wellbeing. I have finally found a place I can take my babies so I can relax on vacation etc will no worries at all.

Judy did a great job grooming our Yorkiepoo. She shaped her face perfectly and my yorkie seemed very comfortable with her. She was very happy when I picked her up, not nervous as she is after being at other groomers.

We were looking for a Xolo puppy and contacted Paws Here. My husband spoke to the owner, Diane, on the phone, who said they had no puppies available at the time but she strongly pushed a two-year-old Xolo, Redkin. She said he was a sweet and affectionate dog. She cited some difficulty with the mother's owners as to why he wouldn't be certified. We were not concerned with showing him so we put down a deposit, bought $300 worth of supplies, and drove 583 miles to pick him up.Upon arrival, Gerald was bathing Redkin. He told us not to get our face too close to him then put Redkin in the outdoor kennel while we completed the paperwork. While waiting for our credit card to be run I noticed Redkin had pooped in his outdoor kennel and he was running in it chasing after a little dog in the center dog run.They handed Redkin over and gave us a very smelly stuffed animal and blanket for the car. The woman that brought him out mentioned he bit her finger once but she told him "no" and he didn't do it again.Redkin freaked out when we tried to get him in the car. He seemed almost too good in the car on the way back (drugged?). Once we got him home he turned into a wild animal, pacing frantically, growling at his reflection in the window, jumping frantically all over everything.The next day we took him to the vet who diagnosed skin and feet infections, a sore on his tail that was infected, filthy and infected ears, broken teeth and teeth that had not completely grown in, and a heart murmur. Cost us $700 just for that visit. He bit the vet.Redkin did not accept any rewards such as treats or praise, was very deadpan when we tried to pet him and would actually shrink away from pets on the back.Two more days at our house which culminated in Redkin terrorizing our cats and biting both myself and my husband.We returned this damaged dog, driving him back to the kennel.While we received our purchase price back, we were out $1,300 in vet, travel, and merchandise costs.We noticed Redkin's brother, Chimmy, had also been returned.Do not adopt either of these dogs. Do not board a pet here.

Very happy with the service. My 2 dogs, a pitbull and a cane corso, had never been groomed professionally, and the staff had no problems handling them. Will be our go-to groomers.

Not sure whar i disliked the mist about my tour of this place. The smell of the kennels or the lady dragging a clients rambunctious german sheppard by the collar with its front paws off the floor. Ya ever heard of a leash? Or the fact that the entire properties lawn was about knee high and neglected.

Place is filthy and smells like animal urine. Staff is rude and doesn't communicate at all. When I talked to the owner she was short with me and very condescending. I won't be back and I will not recommend this place to anyone.
