I have to say that I was barely aware of Tacos Amigos as it is rather nondescript if you're passing by it on the street. Glad that I was advised to check it out. The chips and salsa were very good. Fresh, crispy chips and bright, flavorful salsa.The menu is similar to other offerings in the area, but Tacos Amigos excels at the execution. Food is delivered fast and it tastes good. I had the Chori Pollo which is my benchmark dish for the myriad of Mexican restaurants in the area. I thought it was a winner overall but a bit on the salty side.The restaurant itself is laid out a bit weird with two distinct sections. Overall atmosphere is on par with everything else in the area.The service is what makes this particular restaurant stand out. My glass was always full and chips were constantly replenished.I will be back.

Our favorite Mexican restaurant in Mattoon!!The food is great. Have never had any issues with any orders. Always comes out hot and to order.Staff are always very friendly and attentive.Love the patio on good weather days.When we do pickup orders, food is always ready when I arrive.Oh, and the salsa is AMAZING!!

I love love love the food I was going to take a picture before I devoured it but I just couldn't stop !!! I ordered online fast and easy and simple. I gave 4 stars for service but that probably isn't fair but you always have to wait so long in line to at the drive-up window but they are generally very busy. But then again I've been there when I was the only one in line and still had to wait for about 10 minutes before someone came to the window. But either way the food is way worth it. kinda expensive but what's NOT

OMG!!!I will NEVER go back.. We sat for 10 minutes before someone came for our drink order.. If you don't understand or speak English you probably shouldn't be a waitress here. I finally went up front and ask for someone who understood English to come and take our order, after 38 minutes of being polite I had enough. When we finally got the food I have to say the food is excellent..

EXCELLENT FOOD! The #1 lunch combo was a perfect meal, with a superb chile relleno, taco, beans, guacamole and salad. Add the giant bowl of free chips and 2 salsas, wow!

I was told by friends it was a good place so I decided to try it , was not disappointed good food nice people very clean . My wife doesn't like trying different places but she really liked the food , we will definitely be going back .Wheelchair accessibility: Most places don't have alot of room as far as handicap access goes but it did very nice .

WOW! I've been all over the U.S.A. even been to Mexico. I've ate ate literally hundreds, if not thousands of Mexican restaurants. So impressed. Restaurant was exceptionally clean and the food.....OMG. Best I've had. HANDS DOWN. Mattoon, you have an absolute winner here.

Tacos Amigos has great food and the staff is always very nice and attentive. I always get the Taquitos Mexicanos with their homemade hot sauce on the side and it absolutely slaps. Recommend 10/10.

When we got there it was right at peak rush.,,,and had to wait in line,but well worth it,the food was amazing,.and they make one really good margarita.,.and the service was great.. will definitely be back again.,it's a definite hidden jem here in Mattoon.Parking: It's a tight lot,...but still plenty of parkingWheelchair accessibility: They have a wheelchair ramp.

Stopped in while passing through, everyone liked their food and service was fast. The shrimp tacos are loaded with shrimp. It's a little far off the interstate but the quick service makes up for that.

Got lucky went to get a haircut and needed to kill some time before the barber got back. We had a nice enchiladas special from the lunch menu. Very fast good services and it was quite good.
