Going off another review, I was the employee who wasn't allowed to get fresh air. I was wearing a sweater and the heat was 80 degrees, on the verge of heat stroke. Wanda the manager later threatened to fire me after I caught covid and called out, then cut my hours to 5 per week as retaliation. Then cut my shift as I walked into the building ready for work after covid, she essentially forced me to quit and it was a horrible experience. Don't work here but feel free to run a Klepto Crusade. (Edit, she saw this and threatened to ban me from the store 🤣 🤣

The store manager, WANDA, (as she yelled out to me), truly gives the establishment this negative review. She is utterly disrespectful to customers and the lack of professionalism from her is very evident that I will never give this store a dollar from my wallet so long as she is there. I await a call from corporate.

Wanda, the manager, is always helpful. I have watched her diplomatically handle a very touchy situation. She also helped me locate a lost item. I was panicked but she was patient and kind.

Out of stock thirty sock thiry shop open bottles of lemon juice all over the floor no one working there either everyone quit or is taking a smoke break napkins smell like mildew thank God they're not tissues I have so many issues real mean an angry and whit an attitude staff old food out of containers stuff on the floor that is a sore. Items for $5 or $1.25 what do they think we are a monkey in the zoo

I arrived at this dollar tree at 9:26pm on 12/10/2023. An employee is seen n his knees stocking the lower part of the shelf, he then asked the manager (RONDA) can he step out to get fresh air and she bluntly told him no. I thought she was going to say just playing go ahead but no she didn’t. As a manager that was inhuman like have some respect for your staff and be more thoughtful you don’t know how he’s feeling.

This location is one of the worst in the entire Chicagoland area due to the staff. Who stocks NASTY/MOLDY matches on the shelf?! The managers are constantly making up rules on a whim. For example she told me exchanges can only be done within 2 weeks. Where did that rule come from? It is not on the receipt, and no other location has this rule. Nearly every time I have visited this location, the blond female manager is just standing around complaining (about other staff members, about dollar tree as a company, about customers...). The obese male staff member is AWFUL! EVERYTIME I have visited this store he has been working which is one reason why I no longer shop at this location. He has a HORRIBLE attitude! He has carelessly thrown glass objects in the plastic bag, then refuses to exchange the broken items, will not answer any questions, takes 10 minutes to walk to the register when he is called to ring customers, makes up dozens of different excuses to not allow exchanges. These people are ridiculous. This location needs a staff overhaul ASAP.

It's easy to tell when the manager, Wanda, is on site because you can hear her screaming throughout the store. Terrible management and that's too bad. I miss the hard-working, soft-spoken assistant manager who left to manage his own store.Brand new ALDI is opening next door. Yay!

It saddens me that this Dollar Tree (LaGrange Rd) is only a few years old and in the shape that it’s in. Their floors have not been mopped in months . The bathroom(s) are atrocious. The walls, the door knob , the sink and eeek the floor 😭I’ve been to Dollar Trees in bad neighborhoods and they are better kept .Staff is unfriendly (understandable if the management there is lacking)I hope corporate can step in and grab this location under control .

Hello. I was just in here. And I hate to make a bad review about somebody. But the level unprofessionalism that I just witnessed was ridiculous and terrible.I manage a restaurant so I speak from experience and I have been doing so for several years now. I can only assume that she was the manager, the blonde lady, yes, I did hear her name, but for respectable matters, I will not mention her name. But I cannot imagine talking to my coworkers the way that she spoke to hers. I went in here to pick up a few decorations, and I couldn't help but notice a lady screaming across the store. Yes, she was literally screaming. I was on the whole other side of the store and I could hear her screaming at one of her employees talking about how he was wasting payroll time and valuable time at that pretty much demeaning him, because instead of using the cart to put everything away in one sitting, he was taking each item to each aisle, putting it away that way. Which I can understand for time reasons that doesn't make sense. But she could've pulled him to the side instead of talking to him the way that she did. I only noticed this interaction that was going on because I was hearing loud screams from across the way. I don't know the severity of this, but I do not talk to the people that I work with that way. But I definitely know that she didn't need to be screaming and demeaning that gentleman the way that she did. And if she felt a certain way, she could've talked to him in the corner in private. Then there was a line Running into the back aisle, and she walked up to the other gentleman that was up here taking care of everybody. Which he is a worker I see regularly. And she said "if you need back-up, call for someone"So then she walked away, came back after five minutes, and was like, "you definitely need back up." So whenever I see that people need help, I jump in and help them. She was just standing and watching and making those comments. I feel really even bad making a review about somebody like this. But I just would not recommend this job for anybody. If you are somebody that is young and in high school and needs a quick job, I still wouldn't recommend this. You could work in other places where the manager will speak to you with respect. I couldn't believe How she spoke to these people. And I couldn't believe that she was screaming across the store the way that she was. And if people really do hate their jobs, they simply do not have to work there. People don't realize that when you have attitudes like that that is going to drive away business. I really do hope those workers venture out and find better business opportunities for themselves .

The manager with the botched gold blonde hair needs to be FIRED ASAP! very bad attitude but that's probably because she's clueless about anything in the store. Not only does she not know, but her attitude is so bad that it's actually kind of funny! Her ego need to be checked at Dollar Tree:) I hope the owner realizes there's a dollar tree just down the street. Btw This store is NEVER up to date with the latest merchandise. Rude and lazy! Great combo lol bye!

This location is in need of new management. I walked in and it looked like no one was working here and they forgot to lock the doors. I walked around looking for the items I needed and found an employee in the back of the store stocking shelves. I walked over to the register and he followed. Not a word was spoken by him, I said "hello" and no response, so I figured maybe he didn't hear me. I then spoke up a little louder "how are you?" Still nothing. I paid and left the store. Not a very inviting atmosphere and I will not be returning.

Any time I go to spend money, I want an enjoyable experience with no issues. I head to this location today with my appreciation coupon for 10 percent off. What a great start to my day! Walk in, grab my items, go to the counter where the manager Rosalie tells me all of the stores are unable to accept this coupon today. Mind you, this is a one day only coupon. Thought that was strange, so I paid for my stuff and headed to the location in Countryside. Off bat they accept my coupon no issues, smooth enjoyable experience. I go back to this location and the manager still has the audacity to yell at me and my husband because she lied to us. She needs to be demoted back to stocker. Terrible store management.

There was a customer making a large, complicated return from different stores and 6 customers were waiting in line. The cashier called for an additional cashier 3 times and the manager, Paulette, eventually opened a register at the opposite end of the store ... without offering to ring up the 6 waiting customers. The customer making returns had even gone to her vehicle to get more merchandise and started yelling at those in line, including the next customer, an elderly man wearing a boot on his foot. It was almost 1pm and she was telling customers to shut up, mind their own business, and yelling vulgarities & f-bombs. I didn't make the purchase, exited the store, and the customer returning stuff continued her offensive tirade outside in the parking lot. Our cashier tried to do it all and Paulette dropped the ball. She knew there was a return because she had to authorize it with a manager's code and she saw the long line extending into the aisle. A person doesn't become a manager without knowing to take the customers who are already waiting, on the next register, because that's standard practice in the industry. Instead, there were people on their lunch hour who were unnecessarily delayed and to be subjected to insults by the nasty customer was unacceptable.

This is a very nice, very large Dollar Tree. This store is extremely clean so I'm not sure how new this store is. I have found when Dollar Tree is new they are very clean but as time wears on, the store isn't maintained as well. There was a time when you could get very good deals at Dollar Tree stores, but the products offered have declined severely since the pandemic. There are far more generic items and much smaller sized products. This is disheartening to me since one of my reasons for shopping at Dollar Tree was for the deals one could often snag. Now, not so much. I purchased Colgate Sensitive toothpaste on a regular basis. But now they only offer the trial size and I can purchase the trial size cheaper at Wal-Mart. I also would purchase Cascade dishwasher pods but I have noticed several Dollar Tree stores no longer carry them. There are a few other paper plate items that I normally purchase, but Dollar Tree seems to be out of them quite often now. I haven't seen the Tide liquid detergent, nor the Snuggle dryer sheets. I didn't even see the Gain dryer sheets. All in all, there's almost no need for me to continue to shop at Dollar Tree since most of my regular items are no longer available.

You need to get more carts. I am speaking for the 6 of us that came separately today. We do not know each other and were very upset that there were no carts. They were all being used we had to wait for them to walk their packages out to their cars and then take their carts. The Associates that work there said they have informed management several times of this issue. I personally think you will lose business unless you get more carts. I like your location close to home and like your store, but if a cart is not available I will have to go elsewhere.Thanks,Virginia Crockett

This one lady told me (in a rude way) that they were closing soon and asked me to go to the register, she’s got black hair, kinda short, so don’t come shopping here when it’s almost time to close because that girl will be rude and give you attitude, btw this happened on March 19th 2022

Smaller than most dollars trees. Surprised they did not have automatic doors. I brought in a cart from the parking lot & had to maneuver the door.
