It definitely wasn't the best BBQ I've ever had but it wasn't bad. The portions are small for the price but I would stop again because I drive a semi and food options are limited so it's nice to eat something other than the same old fast food everyday. The one thing I really had a problem with was I was told the price was one thing but I noticed I was charged something different the next day and I looked at my bank account. I wasn't given a receipt and they just took my debit card ran it through a cell phone and showed me no proof of anything. It makes me feel like the person ringing up my order just added. A tip for himself but who knows.

Staff wise super nice and very accommodating to dietary needs. Got fried bologna sandwich meat was thick juicy and fresh macaroni and cheese and baked beans delicious. Not from around here just passing through but will definitely be a stop every time we pass through in the future.Dietary restrictions: Condiments on side and worked with us on specifics with my restrictions.Wheelchair accessibility: Had a ramp entrance

Best BBQ I've had in a long time. I had the brisket and pulled pork. Pulled pork seemed shredded but still really good flavor. Brisket was not fatty and had a nice smoky flavor. Baked beans were sweet not spicy with what seemed like shredded pork in it. Texas toast was well buttered and amazing. Overall the food was really really good. Inside it was clean but hot. No sweet tea yet.Parking: Spots for semi's

As a member of the trucking food blogging group, I would give this a 1, but the young man working the counter was nice.I got the 3 meat special pork, brisket and sausage. It was absolutely horrible, dry and flavorist. Less do each by themselves 1) pulled pork was mechanical separated, dry and like crumbled bacon 2) brisket had no taste, dry and there was no pull tough as nails 3) sausage had a decent flavor but they ruined it by deep frying it to long taking out the good bite.So over all waste for $15 would of done better at McDonald's at the Loves or Speedway microwaved products.

The billboard on the highway about the fried bologna sandwich is what originally brought me in. I’d never had one and wanted to see what it was about. I’ve eaten at plenty of BBQ spots and thinking back, nothing about Joe’s really stood out to me. I had the bologna sandwich and after a couple bites, I was over it. I love that they give such a huge cut of bologna though. Maybe I should have tried it with hot sauce or the BBQ sauce, but it’s a no in my book. I also had the hand battered mushrooms & the texture of them was so off putting, I couldn’t eat them alone, I HAD to dip them in the sauce they give you. As for the ribs, which I LOVE ribs, there was nothing about them that would rank on my list. Like I said, the billboard brought me in, I can imagine it does for a lot of people but, would I go back if I was passing it again, no.Staff was helpful with the ordering process and the restaurant is kept very clean for the amount of people they serve. I used the restroom during my visit and it was orderly as well. The decor is fitting. Plenty of options for seating both indoor and out.

My husband and I stopped here for a sandwich. He had a pulled pork sandwich after one bite he said we won’t be back. More bun than meat and no taste. However he did like their bbq sauce. He also mentioned that there was no smoked taste like a true bbq that we get when we smoke our pork. Nothing looked appealing to me, so I didn’t order anything. He had a pulled pork sandwich, fries and a lemonade (which was so watered down).

Stopped in when traveling the highway. I had the 3 meat plate. I thought they really nailed the brisket as it was was highlight. The susage was a little too cooked and fried Bolgna was good. What pushed it to a 5 was the Mac N Cheese, it was excellent. I also liked their sauces

1/2 rack of ribs, fried okra, potato salad (the good ole yella kind with the mustard) Togo for $21. It was PHENOMENAL. Best bbq I’ve ever had and I’m from New Orleans!! Bbq and white lightening sauce both were fabulous! If you’re even considering stopping by, you’ve waited too long.Go check em out!

Yum Yum. As u get out of your vehicle you can smell the flavor your about to enjoy.The house made chips are great, the meat is delicious, the Turkey is amazing but Im gonna give the slaw the hands down award. And I know its just slaw, but in my eyes it was perfect.The atmosphere is awesome. Just try it once in your life. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Some of the better BBQ I've had in Illinois. Briquet had great flavor and bark, fried bologna was amazing and the ribs quite good! Ignore the fast food if your in the area. Hit this place. You won't regret it.

My fiancé and I were stopping through and needing to take our 30. (we’re truckers) found this spot and so glad to have found it! Best damn BBQ I’ve had in a LONG time. To die for. Quick service, friendly people, guns and ammo 😂 doesn’t get much better than that.We left with a gallon of their sauce and rub! Added it to our list of good eats, we will most definitely be back.

Food was cooked very well. I'd prefer a little more smoke flavor. It was a great place to stop and grab dinner on the road. House BBQ sauce was good, but the flavors were not distinctive enough to really push me one direction or another for a preferred style.

My husband spoke highly of this place and we stopped in today. After getting the food to go, the Mac and cheese was leaking all over everything and soaked the bag. We ordered pork and brisket sandwiches, turkey, mac and cheese, baked beans and pepper jack cheddar bites. We ended up throwing away 75% of what we ordered. Brisket was over cooked and hard, pork had a ton of grissle, turkey had a bad taste, Mac and cheese was cold, cheddar bites were way too spicy and I like spicy most of the time. The only thing I can compliment them on is the sweet BBQ sauce and baked beans were yummy. I feel it was a waste of $50.

I know KC BBQ. This is something different. First off the ribs don’t need sauce. They smack you in the tastebuds just plane Jane on their own. The mustard potato salad is good. So good it’s almost as good as my wife’s homemade stuff. Shhhhh don’t tell her. Now the chicken. Golden and crispy on the outside and super moist on the inside. Come to Papa. This place hits a home run with me each day of the week and twice on Sundays. I’m happy to see them back open. Now stop drooling and get over to this place STAT.

We used to stop here (uncle joes) every time we were traveling thru. We saw they had a fire last year & changed to pcb. So before we stopped, we all looked at their menu online to see what we would order. They were still working on the restaurant & taking orders out of a food trailer. The woman taking orders was very rude. We tried to order what was on the online menu & she got upset & said "all we have is written on the window". The pulled pork sandwich was good but they were very skimpy on the bbq sauce. & didnt have coleslaw to go with it. After years of going to Uncle Joes, that was our last stop there

They have the best pork ribs and their sauce is great. I always stop there for half ribs, fries and fried pickles. Fast and great service and the cashiers are very friendly. Plus it's right across from loves truck stop and also right next to another truck stop. They have a big rig parking for truck drivers to pick their food... I highly recommend this restaurant, you won't regret. 👍👌👍👌

Okay.. I have an updated review since the other one was 5 years ago and now they've changed hands:I got the pulled pork cheese fries and a sliced brisket sandwich.The fries are definitely worth the $7 they cost. Good quantity of meat, cheese, fries, and BBQ sauce.The $10 brisket sandwich is NOT worth it. It honestly tasted like store bought brisket from a major manufacturer, not something that was smoked locally. I couldn't even finish it.Uncle Joe's was good, PCB leaves a lot to be desired.

As a truck driver I look forward to good barbecue and I was not disappointed! Holy smokes! It is so good!.And I call myself a connoisseur. The sweet barbecue sauce is very yummy for me I like Southern barbecue the best. And my palate is happy!I got a pound of brisket I asked for it to be wet cut it off a new slab and it was perfect the flavor is amazing very hearty and juicy! It's not dry at all.I got a half a rack of ribs which she said was Louisiana style they're just spare ribs short spare ribs but not too short they're a good size and a portion was plenty! Juicy! Fell off the bone! Come on and get you some! Totally legit!Parking: A few spots for big rig parking set aside by barriers.

Darn it boy. Just had me some delicious BBQ. The fried okra amazing fresh out the fryer there Mac and cheese OMG so creamy and delicious 🤤🤤🤤 and can't stop there, there ribs just dipped in the awesome tasting BBQ sauce 🤤🤤🤤and last bet not least there sausage coins lol there round like a thick coin lol 😆 but taste so good as well strongly recommend it to everyone out here stop by and enjoy every bit of it you'll leave with a big smile and wanting to take a nap lol. 👍👍
