Great Jewel, it’s not as new / nice as the brand new Jewel on Reed Road, but it’s still a decent Jewel. The other (Reed Road location) is the best Jewel that I've shopped in. This Jewel has a decent liquor selection, and decent bakery selection. I do prefer the brand new Jewel on Reed Road, but if you are closer to the expressway this is still a great Jewel.

Not a fan of this jewel.Debbie was very rude and did not follow policy procedures. I am a caregiver and had to go back home and bring my elderly client into the store to finish his grocery shopping. He can not walk and has fell several times at this jewelry and is a liability. I’m extremely frustrated with how the situation was handled the second time around coming into the store. I did not appreciate her passive, aggressive tone, or body language at me when I came back to check out. The manager handle the matter much better and I appreciated his patience and understanding for the matter but Debbie should check her attitude towards customers that come here. Absolutely ridiculous and will not be returning back here.

My favorite Jewel is the one nearest 47& 90 in Huntley.From Denise in floral, who will beautifully wrap plants/flowers over a sweet word; to Nan at the desk that can successfully tackle 6 tasks at once, and with a smile! Everyone here is awesome! Even Sam in the bakery! He's so happy to be there, I'll bet he's early for work every day!!What it all comes down to though, is management. Kevin, the director of that store sets a great example to his team! He has excellent customer service, communication, and management skills; his values reflect through all of his employees. I had the pleasure of walking around the store with Kevin while planning a Christmas dinner for the homeless (in Elgin), and Every single employee that we encountered made sure to say hello to Kevin, and with pleasure! He truly makes a positive impact on all the employees as well as the actual store! He did help tremendously with the Christmas dinner!! Can't say thank you enough!It's so heartwarming to see someone like Kevin who naturally goes above and beyond to make a difference, not only in the store, but in the world! Kevin, I know that you will get at least 100 extra prayers this Christmas! God bless! 🎄🙌oh and on my way out, I asked him if he knew where the candy canes were, he instantly said"aisle 9, top right!!," sure enough, there they were!A boss that knows things, imagine that! Thanks Kevin and team,keep up the great work!

This Jewel-Osco was clean and well stocked on my Dec 11, 2023 visit.Hover there was a glitch in the register self checkout. I purchase an item that was supposed to have a significant discount if tree were purchased. $7.90 total off to be exact. It gave $0.30. The team member had to manually enter the discount.

Several times I have seen the deli department not changing gloves especially after touching their face and fixing their clothes. There was one really gross thing and I called the guy out before he helped someone and he had lame excuse. Store manager was told after I mentioned it to front end manager. Hopefully something will be done.

Nice jewel. Closest grocery store near the house, however prices are usually higher than other grocery store. Cake from jewel are normally really good.

Billy in the kitchen came through for us. The kitchen was short staffed but Billy was still able to accommodate a large order we had to put together under a short time crunch for a party. The food was fresh and ready when we expected it to be.

I just had a very poor experience at the pharmacy. The young man (Ryan B) that was closing was very rude and short with me. I went there straight from work to get there as fast as possible, I then had to wait for the person in front of me to finish in the drive thru. By the time I got up to the window it was about 5:05pm and he greeted me by saying "hi, just so you know we close at 5pm." As someone who works in costumer service I've been train to never treat a guest that way, even if they come in at close. He didn't ask me if I had any questions or how many of my medications I was looking for he just gave me everything under my file, which I could have spoke up about but I was so shocked by the initial interaction. Once I had payed I expressed my displeasure with how I was greeted he snapped back at me "I closed at 5." I tried to tell him I was waiting in line when he clicked the microphone off and slammed the closed window shut. I have used many pharmacies in the different towns I've lived and I've never been treated this way at a window. Thank goodness I wasn't struggling with depression and feeling like a burden or someone who struggles with memory loss because he was so disrespectful.

Several items advertised in the weekly ad were not available for purchase. The items that were available as advertised had limited selection to choose from. Staff members stocking shelves in the frozen meat and poultry section of the store were observed and heard talking loudly and verbalizing vulgar profranity. The male staff members were upset about decisions made by management regarding items that needed to be stocked in the freezer cases. This very unprofessional behavior made my shopping experience very uncomfortable.

Jewel is ok if you live in the Huntley area and need to make a quick trip. Their pharmacy is also one of the quicker and more efficient locations in the area.If you need to make a large grocery purchase Woodman's is a few minutes down the road. Their prices are lower and they offer more variety.

They keep this store very clean and organized. Rarely will you find an item out of stock or misplaced. Most associates are pleasant helpful and eager to help. The remodeling they did looks great and fresh. Aisles are changed a bit but it actually makes more sense how the new layout is designed. I cannot say enough kind words about the employees they are fantastic every time I shop. From managers to the cart getters 👍

It says close Midnight, but is not true, I drove 25 minutes to this store, I have arrived at 10:47 pm, but was closed. Why you guys have a “Store Hours” if you guys close before. That’s disrespectful and unprofessional. Lazy employees, lazy Manager... that’s awful.

Absolutely lovely staff and clean store. The selection is amazing and always fresh produce. It is unbelievably clean and the customer service is top notch. The employees go out of their way to help you. It is a fantastic store with fantastic employees. Both Starbucks and Tcf bank are located inside. Great atmosphere and just a great store.

Love your store & your fried chicken, but recently stopped in and was truly disappointed with the Deli service. It was about 3:30pm on Tuesday, about 10 people waiting patiently with 2 workers and 2 other workers by the fried chicken talking (obviously waiting for batch of chicken to finish cooking). I asked if I could get an 8 piece bag. They said to take a number and wait my turn. Thought to myself, why couldn’t they have just handled it and bagged more to put out for those that only needed chicken to go???? Manager needs to consider and make some changes there. Just saying......thanks!

I usually have good experiences here, however I cannot say the same about my most recent one. Not only was our cashier, Lynn, extremely rude to us, but she was so degrading to the young girl bagging in our lane. The young girl was nice and did a great job. She appeared to have special needs, and I am honestly embarrassed for the way Lynn spoke to the young girl. I am not sure if our cashier was having a bad day or not, but the amount of disrespect in her tone and the way she spoke to her was absurd. Easy to speak to someone like that when they are defenseless. It was over something so little as well. Bad day or not, everyone is human and deserves to be treated with respect.

Shout out to Debbie, one of the managers! I shopped at this store on a busy Saturday morning and Debbie was very helpful. She is a manager and still helped bag my groceries. She even honored a Just 4 You coupon that I didn’t clip with enough time for it to process.

I can't really say anything bad about Jewel... Well at least this location. Every time my family and I come here, we don't have any bad experiences. Lines can be long at the deli, but there's quite a few employees trying to help out as many customers as they can. There may be long lines sometimes at the checkouts but there's quite a few cashiers doing their best. Just went again this morning (12/16/18) and although there were decently long lines, things went fairly quick and smooth.

Newly remodeled location with a Starbucks inside. The layout is very different than previous, but easy to navigate. Friendly staff and quick checkout make this store on par with Jewel standards. I'd like to see a wider variety of products.

Ordered catering for a party yesterday. Told the deli folks twice that I had ordered two kinds of chicken and beef sandwiches. They loaded the foil pans in my cart and told me everything was there. I got two pans and a bucket all of fried chicken. Arrived home to my guests with no variety of food. Way to ruin a birthday party and leave my gluten free guest with no option. No more catering from here. HERE IS AN UPDATE... Jewel has "tried to fix this problem" by running me around with more convoluted garbage about multiple types of online orders and an inability to find my order and giving me more people to contact. Here is an idea. Since I gave you my phone number fix the problem. #CUSTOMERLOST Stay away from catering from place for sure!!!

I have been to the Huntley Jewel at least 3 times a week. They do not sanitize their carts. Half the time there are no wipes to do it yourself. I never see any checker wiping down the checkout belts. They are always filthy. Actually, I never see anyone ever cleaning anything. I’ve see them stock shelves not wearing masks and/or gloves. I would rather go to Walmart. They are much more conscious on sanitizing.

Expensive, and can someone explain why they keep moving items from one end of the store to the other. I know what I want when I go to the store, and don't appreciate them forcing me to shop. I have limited walking mobility, and NO I refuse to use the electric carts.
