Oh man, this place is so much fun. Please visit & support this sanctuary (and any sanctuary nearer to you as well!) Why not check out MeetUp or FB for the potlucks & campouts held here too? You will love it. They are always fun. The people are great, the animals are awesome. It's never too late to try veganism -- if not for the animals, then for yourself! Compassion is happiness. Enjoy!

Attended a potluck vegan style. Great food, great company and the animals are well kept and friendly. I drove 3 1/2 hours. It was amazing companionship to meet people who feel the way I do about a vegan lifestyle and they love animals as much as I do!! Yay!! Well worth the drive!!

Incredible experience visiting Wedrose. My fiance and I drove up from St. Louis for the weekend and spent the day meeting all the animals, from Poncho the spoiled little bull to Gary the goofy llama. The animals are happy and well-cared for, and the location is beautiful. Apparently the vegan potlucks are all the rage, so we'll be back when the weather is nicer.

We took an opossum to this sanctuary because it was destroying our sweet corn patch. As farmers, this critter would have been put down. The only thing it did wrong was eat some sweet corn and didn't deserve to die. Live long little critter.
