The place is very modest, Everyone behind the counter including the owner Is friendly and has information it's the headquarters for fishing the Shawnee national forestMinnows, Goldfish, Nightcrawlers, crickets, worms, terminal and essential tackle.Reasonable prices.The fishing information is key.

While its nice to have a bait shop with several snack & drink options like u would find at a gas station, this one is an odd combination & pricing of items that left me rather unsettled. Half the building is an adult store. A large collection of vintage playboy magazines, hundreds of dvds/vhs (vhs priced at $50?) A bit behind today's market as vhs are hard to even give away. Tshirts, bait, soda snacks, signs, posters, knives, smoking pipes/accessories, adult toys, viagra type meds & cbd, drug tests, and even candles. This is one unique store with a complete lack of service. Staff barely spoke, even when inquiring about product. When he did speak It felt as if it was a hideous burdenWhich did not have me wanting to purchase much of anything. Thankful I was allowed to use their restroom (oddly full of mirrors).

Great people run and own the place, name after previous owner, they decided to keep the name since Frank passed shortly after Mr Wanless bought the place. He has now added a service garage to help locals with minor auto issues.

Frank's is VERY convenient when no other stores are around! I actually only gave it 4 because you do pay about $.50- $1 more on items.. beats driving into town..

Great little place in the middle of nowhere ,has pretty well anything you could think you might need for a day of fishing ,boating or hiking or camping lots of cold drinks and snacks along with a wide variety of fishing baits.
