The perfect little neighborhood ice cream shack. I love that they offer the rotating flavors of the Dole soft serve; it’s great to have a dairy free option. Everything else on the menu is delicious as well, and the prices are reasonable. The line outside moves fast.

There is actually no moat of ice cream, corn dogs and deliciousness, but there is a counter where you can order some of those.After driving past Kastle Kreme a few times on my way to Iowa, I finally made a conscientious effort to stop and try their ice cream. I do love me some ice cream shacks.Boy, what a yummy stop it was.From what I could tell, you can only walk up and order food. Which is fine, as other ice cream shacks I have been to are similar. For the size of the building, it’s kind of odd that there isn’t an indoor area, unless I am mistaken. It’s about the size of a small business building, if that makes sense. If I can, I will update this blog to reflect any updates I find out about the place.I ended up ordering a simple ice cream cone. For the life of me, I don’t remember the flavor (probably swirl), even after looking over the menu and my photos. I do remember enjoying the ice cream and thinking how I wish I could get some closer to my home. You really can’t go wrong with most ice cream shacks. Also, you really can’t screw up ice cream.Looking over their menu, it seems they offer your usual ice cream shack food offerings. Hot dogs, tenderloins, chicken tenders. Your usual lunch or dinner offerings. I didn’t try any of those but they sound yummy. I will have to try some food next time.It’s not too often I drive to and/or through Galesburg, so who knows when I will get back to the Kastle. I am hoping to revisit it next summer to try their other offerings as I love a good tenderloin and ice cream cone.

Best place to get ice cream in town. Very good selection. Really love their burst cones, shakes, and flurries. Would be nice if they open like till the end of October or early November.Great food, too, although, I do prefer Flavor Freeze’s. They have a bigger variety, too. I really like the chicken, tenderloins, hot dogs, and the pizza burgers & cheeseballs with marinara sauce from here.

Amazing! The tenderloin is delicious but, the chicken tenders are my new favorite. Yesterday I tried the caramel apple sundae and it was so yummy and nostalgic it took me back to eating caramel apples as a kid. 10/10 I love the Kastle

I can't speak for everything in the menu, since I have allergies, but they have dairy free Dole ice cream here! The flavor changes once a month with orange being served between each flavor change. The service is always fast and friendly, the management is excellent, kind, and responsive. Any rare issues I've had have always been made right immediately without any trouble at all. We visit at least weekly, and the employees are always very accommodating and willing to try new things for the customer (like crushed graham crackers or pecans on the outside of my ice cream on a cone, or sprinkles only on top). Highly recommend!

This is a busy little place on the corner. The food is usually pretty good. The last several visits I've had their tenderloin special. Whoever is cooking the tenderloins is leaving the loin in the cooker too long. They are coming out very brown and very crisp... almost to the point of burnt. Hope whoever cooks them will learn better! The shake that comes with the special is delicious! I've had other food there and it is always good!

We visited on the weekend and while our items did taste ok...it took a while to get our food and the orders were a bit mixed up. The bigger issues were the problems they had with the preparation of the ice cream--one twist wasn't able to have crunch added without melting so it ended up in a bowl as a sundae and two flurry cups were broken on the bottom and left bits of styrofoam in the ice cream.

Lots of yummy options! I had the hot fudge shake and the chili cheese dog, both were really good. They have several tables outside to use.They have many different types of ice cream treats.and they have some hot food items, such as chicken tenders and hot dogs.

It's officially summer when Kastle Kreme opens up. Love there icecream and especially there freezes. A freeze is ice cream and a slushie blended together. Perfect on a hot day or if your having a bad day. There just my favorite. My only complaints is they have changed there hrs and close at 8pm now instead of 9. Please go back to 9. And last year they raised there prices considerably. Which I understand it's gonna happen. But now there prices are as much as dairy queen. Just wish it wasn't so much of a increase all at once. The people working always treat me good. No complaints at all with them. I highly recommend stopping and giving them a try just make sure you have cash. That's all they except no plastic

Other members of my family just love this place because they always serve a dairy free option, but I just haven't been impressed. The size of cones is totally variable according to who dispensed it, and they aren't careful about who they hand it to at the other window! We were there on a busy night (July 4th) and little kids from our group kept walking up to the serving window and putting their hands out and getting free ice cream - I mean, they were nice about it, but that was pretty embarrassing! It was cute that they sometimes put a face on the cones. The gals helping there are nice enough, but they do need a system of order numbers or something, so they don't get mixed up so constantly if it's a busy night. I have a couple simple suggestions for the owner if they'd like to contact me (graphic designer and business coach in training).

Best soft serve in Galesburg. Puts DQ to shame. The soft serve is alot more tasty and colder and harder. It doesn't melt all over the place as fast.

Terrible, two girls having a good time one girl working. I stood at the order window while the two joked, laughed and leaned against the counter then to watch one of these girls look at me then continued like customer didn't matter while the other filled the latest order then she rushed over and took our order. She wrote it down and we paid. These girls were having such a good time they couldn't even get our order right. We sat in our car as we watch people walk away due to line being to long and those girls having a good time.

One of the jewels of Galesburg, this little ice cream outpost has prime real estate, as it is right off the main road into town. Don't miss the orange-vanilla twist ice cream, or the flavor burst.Really, this place is worth more than one visit.

Great ice cream. The tenderloin is great too, by it was overwhelmed with too much mustard. I like mustard, but wow. Simply way too much.
