This location is closest to my apartment so I go there all the time. Though the prices are just a bit steep, the products they carry are excellent. The staff is also friendly and helpful.Edit:I signed up for the perks program when they switched to the new cards. I was told that in 7-14 days I would get my card in the mail. I never received it.

Very busy but the staff was keeping up.It's setup old school with long isle and very well stocked shelves. Will be definitely going back as a regular stop. The store was clean and no clutter in the isles. None of the silly little towers of products clogging the way. The front end staff was great had issues with the perks card got it all fixed. Then got card on the new system so checking out should be smoother.

I really dislike grocery shopping anymore because these prices are astronomical if u ask me😕Its difficult to find healthy nutritional food at affordable prices . My mother really enjoys the roasted chickens from Hy-Vee and I agree but the last few times they have only had the SAVORY flavor, they need to mix it up with some GARLIC & HERB or some Sweet & Spicy. BBQ 😊 Sorry no chicken picz

The lemons were small and overpriced. Sometimes the produce is great. Sometimes the produce is a little wilty and overpriced. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I love the sales. Good deals. I just watch the prices.

I ordered donuts (with pink drizzle) for a baby shower brunch a couple of weeks in advance from Hy-Vee on Main. Then called and confirmed the order a few days ago. This morning I received a phone call from a clerk a few hours before the shower and was told "Your donut order is cancelled." I asked why and was told my order ticket wasn't even put in the right place first of all. Then she said they no longer make the donuts in their bakery, they're delivered from Davenport and Davenport cancelled delivery. It sounds like if Davenport had delivered we still wouldn't have received them because our order ticket was misplaced. I also understand the weather is terrible today but no-one told me in advance this could potentially happen. I assumed they made them in their bakery. I live out of state. I would have ordered cake instead to ensure we would have something. Not this clerks fault, someone should have called me yesterday at the latest so I could have come up with another plan.

Since I travel to different states in the Midwest, I’ve been doing comparisons among stores, 1st dealing with prices, I live in DuPage County in Illinois, I went to HyVee I. Galesburg Illinois, prices were lower in DuPage County. Quite disappointing, I won’t be going back to HyVee

Tired of the sloppy service . I've called and walked in to order my medicine more then 3 times . 2 days later still don't have it ready they wait to fill when you pick up if they have it on hand . Poor service and wasting customers time I've called serval times to talk to management they never call back ?!?. There is so much shoplifting going on at this store you tell the manger and he says he don't have time for it . They're setting this store up for a dangerous environment and I will not return , sad I've been shopping here for 7 years cause it's literally 3 blocks from my house .

Stopped to get Chinese. Wanted 2-2 entree meals. I guess that's what I got. Said something to the employee as she was dishing it up and she told me not to question her, she knew what she was doing. Guess that's why she put the rice in the two compartments and the meat got to be together. Rice was so hard couldn't couldn't eat it. Pretty sad.

It’s currently 645 am, the front doors are locked. A few of us got in through the pharmacy door. But alas there are no bodies there to assist, no checkers, and only one self check spot open. Have you ever seen a line of 4 customers awaiting their turn at self checkout to overpay for their two items needed for Sunday breakfast? It gets pretty huffy. Trust me, I was in the middle of it. And of course, since there are no checkers, the poor kid getting his weeks worth of food has to scan every single item at the one tiny self checkout but he was the first through the pharmacy door. Hyvee, a f you read this, I get a bare bones crew, but when I already know I’m overpaying for my food, at least have someone staffed at the front to assist.

We used to get Chinese takeout every week. But now the food there is very poor. I guess the wonderful cook is gone and the staff working there doesn't care how it tastes. Maybe they should eat some of it themselves. Is it too hard these days to get a Chinese cook? Put of town guests would always stop there to pick up some. It is so sad.

I was in Hy-Vee on Main checking out at the self checkout. A cashier who wasn't standing there previously, comes up and stands, staring holes right through me. To make matters worse, a cop that was standing up at customer service comes over and stands right at the end of my register. He also decided to stare at me. So much so, that I told him I felt like I should put up my hands. To which he had no reply. Not so much as a smile. I finished checking out, paid for my groceries and took my cash. As I was leaving the cop decided he would follow me and stood there at the windows watching me till I got to my car. Either they like to intimidate or my picture was on America's most wanted! Thank you Hy Vee for make me feeling like a criminal giving you my money! 🤬

i love hy-vee grocery stores! they have one of the best deli's ever AND... their liquor stores are out of this world with unique liquors and beers, and local beers from independent brewers!

The only problem here, is the security guard that follows you around like you are thief . And when he was asked if there was a problem, he walked the other way without even responding. Kinda a rude for a great store.

Terrible staff, got stuck waiting a while to try to get a mispriced item corrected. When the staff then said they would change the price we went to the register again and he acted like the whole process had not happened and would not fix the price.

Like all stores right now, they are having stock issues with certain items. But overall, they try their hardest and do a darn good job. Employees are friendly and helpful. They are even unnecessarily apologetic when an item is out. HyVee will always get 5 stars in my book. My only HyVee issue is the newest store director at the National Boulevard location. But Sam's ineptitude aside, even that stores people are fantastic. I am always willing to shop there

I love to stop by to get coffee while shopping. They have a good selection of organic foods as well as ethnic foods. They have a great bakery and a selection of adult drinks. The produce isn’t always as fresh as it should be. Check the dates and packaging for slime/mold. Otherwise, the store seems to be clean and well organized.
