If you need the highest quality fruits and vegetables this is THE place. There is no other store that I have found that has the quality and shelf life of Whole foods. Any fruit or vegetables you buy from them will last much longer than fruits or vegetables from another store. Jewel's produce department is horrible compared to Whole foods. You can find bagged salads going bad in the bag. Their organic produce is atrocious. Their organics are not fresh. Whole foods knows how to handle their produce in such a way that the shelf life is much longer. For the most part Whole foods has better customer service. Some employees could be better in terms of customer service. You may pay more for produce but the shelf life makes it worth it. Oftentimes I find that many products are cheaper at Whole foods compared to other stores. If produce is important to you then this is your store. The downside I would say is the lack of variety compared to what you could find at an Asian produce market.

My favorite location! I wish the wine bar would open again! It’s rare I run into an employee who has a nasty attitude. It does happen though! I’ve only had a few bad customer service experiences in the years I’ve been shopping at this location. I got great customer service from Reagan (not sure of spelling) the other day in the bakery department. She was welcoming, patient, knowledgeable, and kind. This Whole Foods location is clean, nice, and spacious. It doesn’t feel like all the shoppers are on top of each other with no elbow room like the downtown Evanston location. The parking lot gets crazy sometimes at both locations! But that’s not Whole Foods fault. People just can’t drive or are rude drivers! I appreciate Whole Foods in providing healthy choices - especially now as I get older.

Very nice Whole Foods on Green Bay Road.Well stocked and a very helpful friendly staff.Attended a local kombucha demo today and tried out Kombuchade Kombucha which is made in Chicago.Kombuchade is located in a cooler at Aisle 13.Pictures posted below-

I like this Whole Foods. But they get 1 star for only providing trash and no recycling or composting options in their dining area. It can’t be that difficult to have a recycling option and then partner with an organization like Collective Resources or WasteNot to have composting taken care of.

A shout out to chef Rodney in the deli area. I was waiting to be helped, and he happened to be there with the biggest smile, that made my whole year. He was such a doll. I asked if he was new here because I've never seen him before. He explained that he was the chef 😊 thank you again for helping out, and being so kind. I look forward to my next trip to WF.

JOB SEEKERS BEWARE!!! IF you’re looking for a job? Stay away from produce receiving!!! You will close 100% of the time. You will NEVER, EVER get a Fri/Sat or Sunday off. IF you need a day off? Request it 1 month early because management makes the schedule 3 weeks in advance. The position is BRUTALLY PHYSICAL and COLD 24/7. You’re in a cooler, you won’t feel your fingers. Lastly!? NO HELP. You’ll typically have 12-18+ pallets that were taller than me (6FT 1IN) and be expected to finish them ALONE. I worked here for 10 months and 4 receivers QUIT. NONE of them lasted 2 months. DONT DO IT

My review is of the so called hot bar which lately thanks to Whole Foods corporate has made the decision to only produce poor quality unhealthy foods that are worse than what you would find at any other local grocery store. What food is provided for the most part will sit from the afternoon all the way to close versus making fresh food for dinner the result is food sits for hours rotting away. I have heard all the excuses as to staff issues but again this is due to decisions that are made by corporate and their interest to put profits over what Whole Foods was known for and that was quality healthy foods and great service. It is unfortunate they have made the decision to destroy the Whole Foods name all over profit but greed has been the motivation here!

My partner and I went shopping on 6/12/23 around 7:30. Our receipt says we checked out at 7:53, though it doesn't say our cashier's name and we didn't catch it. She was very quiet during the transaction, but as we were paying, she says, "Can I ask why you're still wearing masks??" It is none of her business. Our masks do not affect her in any way, and we were shocked to be accosted for wearing masks by a store employee. We should have spoken with a supervisor while we were there, but we were upset and just wanted to leave.

As someone who regularly visits the Whole Foods on Greenbay in Evanston, I can confidently say that it's a great store. The recent layout change in the produce section has greatly improved the shopping experience by reducing congestion, and the store itself is spacious with wide aisles. The selection is impressive and exceeds that of the other Whole Foods location in Evanston. While the clientele mostly consists of well-to-do North Shore families who may not be as friendly as those at a typical Chicago grocery store, the cheese and dairy sections are excellent, and the store features many unique and locally sourced items on its shelves. Overall, I highly recommend this Whole Foods location.

A quick trip to grab some fresh essentials for my famous Pesto Chicken Pasta. Whole Foods never disappoints in the quality department which is why their prices are higher than other grocers, but I am sure to leave with fresh high-quality items that will more than satisfy by dinner companions. This market store is really cool !!! A lot of healthy food choices. Huge market. Selections are sometimes overwhelming. Good choices for wines. The staff here were really helpful and always trying to give their customers an assist by communicating and asking you if you need any help to find what you're looking for. Got really good experience shopping here

Sadly, the customer service at this location is really bad. Morale must be very low because most employees are curt, rude and unhelpful. You ask where something is- they don't know. You ask when something will come back in stock- they don't know. You ask if someone else does know, they send you to the customer service desk, which also usually has no clue. It's absolutely hopeless. Thankfully, there's a nearby Jewel that has saved the day on two recent occasions. It's really disappointing because Whole Foods used to be my favorite store but Amazon has apparently made some cost cutting changes that are making workers hate their jobs. 10 years ago, Whole Foods was a great, fresh place to shop with enthusiastic, knowledgeable employees. Now it's like they just don't care. I still shop here because they have better produce and healthful products than other stores but it's not what it used to be.

Above and beyond excellent customer service on a pickup order! I've ordered groceries for pickup from another Whole foods before and have consistently had things left out of the order with no explanation. Today I arrived to pick up groceries from this location and the shopper explained that there may be some missing items, offered to go back in and look for the missing items, and then when he couldn't find them, canceled the order so we wouldn't be charged for any of the groceries we did receive. I was very impressed with his transparency and kindness.

I worked with AJ to place a catering order for an event. She was super helpful about going over menu options and getting the order placed. Joe and Jesus delivered it right on time and went above and beyond bringing it inside the event space and walking me through everything. Everyone raved about the wings, fruit platter, veggie platter with ranch and hummus, and their pies! The event was a hit with wonderful food.

The employees both Whole Foods and Amazon, were courteous, professional and a bit comical. I only hope my back holds up, cause its killing me, lol.

Incessant reminders that they were closing every 5 minutes 30 minutes before they closed and no one was in there. Kids were all horsing around on the intercom telling everyone to leave.
