Highly recommend Dawn at Canine Solutions. Great on communication when my girl Molly was there. Lots of videos and pictures showing updates on what she was learning. Great experience overall and highly recommend. I could tell immediately by videos that Molly was happy and loved. Great skill sets with Dawn and you can tell she enjoys it. She accomplished more in 2 weeks than we have in 3 months since adopting Molly. She accommodated me with a day earlier pick up, since I worked all day on the last day. She went over with what Molly learned and I left knowing what to do and what not do, to help Molly continue growing in her training. The leave it command has helped us tremendously from our cat, to shoes, to even rocks in our yard. Also her stay and recall is amazing. Molly is still very much herself, but a much better well mannered dog!

Our GSD puppy was a handful! She was beyond "puppy" misbehavior. My wife was at the end of her rope with the constant challenges of over excitability, extreme mouthing with occasional blood drawn, and just constantly getting into things.Two weeks with Dawn, and she's like a different pup. She's so much more enjoyable when she listens to our commands. Her sweet side comes through now.If you have a dog that is making you question your decision to get one, please consider taking her/him to Dawn. You won't regret it.

We adopted “Lucky” a 12+mo old terrier mix from the shelter. She was anxious, and always on a leash. She would tug, pull and break away. She would not focus, follow simple commands.I was referred to Canine Solutions by a friend and she said “Lucky” will come home a different dog.Dawn was professional & personable. She explained the training program when we met and left “Lucky” for 2 weeks. She sent us videos, photos, & text messages of her progress.At the end of 2 weeks, Dawn trained us on what “Lucky” had learned and accomplished.“Lucky” is home and is a different dog! She is no longer on a leash all the time. She is attentive and obedient.Dawn & Canine Solutions exceeded our expectations.

Dawn and her staff at Canine Solutions were great! Koda did the two week class. It was worth it! She spent time training us at the end of Koda’s time at the class. Koda has learned so much. My only regret is not doing it sooner!

We picked up our 6month old Golden Retriever from Dawn after she worked with her for 2 weeks. Our girl Ruby is probably a 6 out of 10 on the stubbornness scale. She came to Dawn with a few bad habits (mouthing, jumping on house guests, and not understanding at all what the word stay meant). We have 3 small kids at home and needed help training her best for our family. Dawn provided expertise, kindness and leadership to Ruby. She sent videos and pictures along the way so our kids could see her while she was away. We feel that driving down to Dawn/ Canine Solutions (from Chicago) exceeded our expectations. We’re excited to continue Ruby's training at home with everything Dawn taught us on our Exit Training (which lasted an hour). She Helped us with questions and gave us her personal cell to call with anything we needed. Everyone was accommodating and settled our nerves about leaving her for 2 weeks. I would recommend Canine Solutions to anyone reading this! Good luck on your training search but this is a good one.

Dawn has trained 3 of our dogs over the years. Our results are always the same: a well-mannered, obedient dog! Most recently, she trained our 9-month old Golden Irish. He was easily excitable, pulled terribly on his leash, and refused to follow basic commands. After a two week session with Dawn, he’s a completely different dog. During his stay, she sent us multiple videos of his progress, which are useful to refer back to in the future. I highly recommend her to any dog owner looking to have a well behaved pet! She truly is a miracle worker!!

Dawn and everyone at Canine Solutions has been the best thing that’s happened to me and my rescue pit-mix Jeep. Jeep knew basic commands, but Dawn was able to take his listening skills and his obedience to the next level. She was so thorough and helped me identify the behaviors that I wanted to see improved in Jeep, and I can say without a doubt that I have a brand new dog!! He leaves things alone when I tell him to “leave it”, he no longer responds to dogs on walks, he walks so nicely on the leash now, and his off leash recall is superb!!! And while I missed him terribly, Dawn was amazing about sending me pictures and videos of him and his progress!!She provides such a personalized service and I can’t thank her enough for all the training and care she’s showed my dog. We just picked up Oliver from his 2 week stay at doggie training camp with Canine Solutions. We can't say enough about the change in Oliver.She taught both of us how to handle him so we can continue to reinforce his training.He walks perfectly on his leash, follows commands like sit, stay, down, stay. He now comes on command, doesn't jump all over anymore and goes to his "living room bed"using the "go to your spot" command.Dawn was just excellent in every aspect. She answered every question for us and sent pictures and videos throughout the entire process.I am just too old and tired to have done this on my own. It will be so easy now to just continue with his reinforcement. We now have a very well behaved handsome little boy to enjoy for many years to come❣❣We very highly recommend Dawn and Canine Solutions!! Thank you Dawn!

I adopted a hound dog from a shelter. She would take off so fast I could not catch her. We also could not walk because she pulled so hard on her collar. I took her to Canine Solutions, and Dawn worked a miracle. Within two weeks, Cinnamon would come when I called her, and we could walk off-leash. She learned her basic commands, which made life much easier. I cannot say enough about the work Dawn did with Cinnamon. Thank you!

Dawn was amazing! My dog had several behavior problems, and after two weeks with her he is a changed dog. I highly recommend Canine Solutions. If I get another dog, I would make the investment of putting them through the program as well.

Wow!! What a great experience. I highly recommend Dawn at Canine Solutions. We sent our 15 month old, golden retriever, Myla for three weeks of training. She had a lot of good skills already, but we wanted to reinforce some skills like "come and jumping." The reason she had to stay three weeks was because we wanted to do some "off leash" walking. Myla continues to be the best behaved dog ever as we continue to reinforce the skills Dawn showed us. I would highly recommend Dawn for any loved dog.

Our golden doodle, Reba (6 months), completed the 2 week board and train at Canine Solutions December 2022. She was a brand new pup when we picked her up. No more jumping on the counter or people. She lays nicely on her bed, or spot, and no longer chews on our kids’ toys. Reba obeys the commands she was taught. Dawn’s way training was perfect for our family of 6. We have four young children and they can all follow the training commands and routine that Dawn achieved with Reba. Highly recommend this board and train program!!

Dawn was awesome. Our 7 year old husky/malamute rescue had always had really bad separation anxiety and absolute stubbornness. He spent 2 weeks them them and came back the same goofball but way more well-behaved. After 3 years of being his owner, his counter surfing habits have been broken and he has recently been ok to leave out at home instead of kenneling to prevent him clawing at the doors. The change is incredible and we will happily recommend Canine Solutions to anyone looking for a trainer!

Absolutely love the work Dawn did with our girls. Ivy is a 20 month old APBT and Kansas is a 10 month old APBT/Walker Treeing Coonhound mix. The girls went to training together. Dawn kept in communication with us throughout their stay. She sent updates and videos to show us all of their progress.Dawn was professional and her services were affordable.We are just so thrilled!

We are THRILLED with the results of the two week training program. We have a year and a half old german shepherd female and she had terrible problems with reactivity and jumping and leash pulling. Now she is like a completely different dog, she takes commands like a champ and I no longer have to worry about her lunging at other people and dogs! Kingsford is a 1.5 year old Labrador that is big, strong and minimal body awareness. I took him to Dawn for the two week training session. I’m truly amazed at the transformation. He has mellowed out, he sits and stays, goes to his spot until he is called and doesn’t pull while on the lead anymore!! There were several other corrections that Dawn did as well that will make life with this young loving Lab so much more enjoyable. I cannot say enough about the work that Dawn has done!! Took my 6 month old Cane Corso to Dawn for 2 week training. She had a bad habit of jumping and not staying those were bith corrected. She sent lots of videos and pictures of her while in training. Very friendly and answered every questions I had.

We took our two large dogs to Dawn. Before they went, they were a mess walking. After, they are a dream to walk. They understand commands such as “leave it,” which is very helpful when they want to get into things they shouldn’t. They’re also easy to put away in the mornings when we leave bc they understand “go to your spot.” I highly recommend Canine Solutions. We used Dawn based on word of mount from family and friends and it was a great experience!

Our 4-year old cocker spaniel just finished 2 weeks of “school” at Canine Solutions. Prior to working with Dawn, he greeted everyone by jumping on them, pulled terribly on the leash during walks, and did not have a lot of interaction with other dogs. What a difference 2-weeks makes! I was stunned that he did not jump on us when we were reunited after 2-weeks. He obeys the sit, stay, come, and leave it commands. We will continue to work with him to re-enforce everything he learned at Canine Solutions. Upon meeting Dawn, it is very apparent that dog training is her calling! She’s a natural. I took my puppy to canine solutions with no real expectations since this is my first experience. Gus is a super lovable puppy that was just unruly. We had no idea how to train Gus and were very frustrated. We found canine solutions and felt the price was very good so Gus went for his two week training. I was concerned about him being gone for 2 weeks however with the pictures and videos that were sent it was a lot easier than I thought. We were asked about specific behaviors we were concerned with and needing to be corrected. Today we picked Gus up and after a reunion we saw what he learned. My dog is my baby and the first thing I noticed was how well taken care of he was. This means a lot to me. Gus was put through his paces and both my husband and I were amazed. We had an hour training session for my husband and myself to learn how to keep up the training he had learned. I was a little concerned about being able to follow through with the behaviors he had learned. We were taught and able to demonstrate how to help Gus and ourselves succeed to continue his progress. Lots of tips and people training occurred in that hour session. We were also given written instructions to help continuing to help our precious dog to succeed. I would recommend canine solutions to anyone.
