Had the Patty Sandwich and Vegan mushroom soup as well for a Pumpkin chai cold brew.I’d say the drink and soup was the best part the whole visit today. Mums order didn’t work out and my pastry from the bakery window was stale and dry however I loved the atmosphere and kindness of the staff so would give a second chance =)

They were updating the menu boards while we were there. Kind of dangerous considering the scaffolding wasn’t secure.Besides that a nice environment with enough seating to bring your family.Had the #5 pizza with feta and the #4 pizza added spinach.Visited around 5 pm on a Friday and disappointed they don’t sell sandwiches or soups on Fridays.But was still able to enjoy the fresh blueberry lemonade and their coffee!!Nice workers and they also offer bread making classes I believe. In a nice area and will visit again hopefully soon so I can try the sandwiches.

We got BLT Quiche, baked oatmeal topped with strawberries and walnuts and a chocolate croissant. The oatmeal was lights out, and this is coming from someone that normally doesn't care for oatmeal. I would seriously come here specifically for the oatmeal, it was that good. The quiche was really good. And the chocolate croissant was excellent. How they managed to get chocolate filling in something that flaky, without destroying the croissant is beyond me. I thought this was a breakfast place, but once we got there they have a huge menu. Now I gotta go back and try their sandwiches and pizza. There is also a decent size shelf for homemade breads. The baguette was phenomenal. I wish we would have bought some of the other flavors, as well. Oh yea, and they have coffees too. Will definately be heading back. One last thing, it's in a historic building across from the courthouse, so the building had a ton of charm.

The quality of baked goodies are the best in this area. Each selection is a little pricy but when you bit in, you'll understand the craftsmanship and love going into each pastry is worth coming here. For my favorite breads, I call an order in and know when to pick it up. Atmosphere is pleasant if you're dinning in. Everything is top quality. My only con is, early birds grab up the best and the shelves are slow to reload if they do at all. I recommend 222.

Definitely recommend this business. Selfishly, they have great food, service, and prices. Selflessly ;) they really contribute to the growth of the local community and as a great part of the town. It feels good to contribute to both'

Work, drink coffee, repeat. A great coffee shop lets you do those things and accessibility to an outlet to keep those things charged. The coffees had great options and the food came out fast and good.

Cozy cafe with a variety of coffee flavors and food items. Make sure to go early, especially on the weekends, if you want the best selection of baked goods since the line can go out the door here!I was impressed with the pizza (a 10" build your own pizza) since it was only about $10 and could feed two people or one super hungry person!

Quality is slipping. It was always slow. Now it is faster but burritos arrived scorched on one side, and the bathroom is just not a pleasant experience, especially for menstruating people, with the trash can located far from the toilet. Coffee is fine. Other places in town are better. That said, the fruit pastries are good. We had apple tarts that were perfect, on the same day our burritos were over toasted.We are looking for other regular brunch spots.

The fruit cup pastry was SO yummy! I loved the combo of the fluffy pastry and fresh fruit and cheese. The ham and cheese pastry was great too. Friendly staff and great spot!

Artisan Bakery, “222” is truly a special place. There are so many choices and tasty offerings. We are partial to to the expertly made cappuccinos, croissants and perfect bagels, a Tuesday offering.But, what makes this place wonderful are the owners. Kim and Trevor have created a welcoming refuge. It’s comforting to see so many regulars who have become friends. An unknown fact to many is their relentless caring and giving to our community.Finally, we can only say thank you and well done!

My favorite cafe in Edwardsville. It has the best atmosphere and staff. The food is expensive but delicious. I always get the biscuits & gravy whenever I get breakfast with friends on weekends. Chai tea lattes & coffee is good too :)

Very busy and for a good reason. We ordered the Bacon Jack Breakfast Burrito, Bowl of Oatmeal, Cinnamon Roll, Ice Caramel Latte and White Chocolate Mocha...and it was all very good. This is another local gem, come check it out.

The coffee is decent and it has a cozy atmosphere, but the baked goods have declined considerably in quality and need to be improved. Muffins and scones seem better than the pastry which has been either raw or completely dried out. We haven’t tried sandwiches or pizzas-others seem to enjoy those. We enjoy visiting and hope they can improve.

Very good food & drink! Their iced chai is the best chai I have ever tasted, and I have tasted a lot of chai. I also got a quiche and that was also very good & fairly sized for the price. I also got a macchiato, and I was expecting milk, vanilla and espresso iced, but turns out an actual macchiato is 3 shots of espresso with a splash of milk. I was okay with it though, that wasn’t their fault I don’t know what I’m talking about haha. They really should invest in a larger space though, we went on a Tuesday morning and there were very few seats available. We were sitting in the very back and there was a milk delivery and we were asked to move. Overall a good experience! :)

We just had to try the pizza. It was great. You can order any of the pizza selections, you won't be disappointed. Fresh toppings and tasty sauce. Too bad pizza is only served on Fridays & Saturdays. We'll come back to try more dishes for sure. The service was good and we were served our pizza pretty quick. Prices are reasonable too.

The 222 Artisan Bakery and Cafe is easily one of our favorite finds in the Edwardsville area! Consistently fantastic breads and baked goods, wonderful, customer service, and a charming small town environment make the 222 a winner every time. We have never had anything less than a stellar experience visiting this lovely bakery.

The dough of their pizza is excellent. I devoured that pizza and had a Machiatto with it because that's the real 222 Artisan experience in my opinion. Stop in! It's quality all around. Goshen Coffee Beans are local and create an amazing brew.

Oh! M! G! 1st of all, Edwardsville has the nicest people in America. You all need to write a book. Secondly, as I'm walking around downtown, I happen upon ABC. I'm trying to read the signs inside the cafe and Josh sees me and comes over and opens the door (they were closed btw) and answers my questions. THEN, I go the next morning and Josh is there! My classmate and I order a variety of items and sit at the counter to eat. THEN, I ask Josh do the bags have the store logo on it and he says no, but, I can stamp it for you. I could go on and on but you get the picture. Oh! The baked oatmeal was amazing. I can no longer eat packaged oatmeal. This place is everything.

Love this place, but man, service is reallllly slow. Line is usually out the door because food items take so long to make. Really the only thing I don’t like about this place. Just need more workers and workers need a little more pep in their step!

This is my favorite place either side of the river. SO and I go here as often as we can. It’s about a 30 minute drive from us, but so worth it. Trevor and the team are always pleasant. The food is great, the bread high quality, and the coffee spot on.

Every time I visit Edwardsville, this eatery is wonderful! I drank an americano and ate the vegan brioche filled with some fruit puree.
