Actually they DO NOT even deserve one star.I had no choice but to click on it if I wanted to write my comment. I called Petsmart, 2512 Sycamore Rd, Dekalb, IL at 11:29am on today’s date, March 14, 2024.I scheduled an appt for 12:30pm. At time of scheduling she asked for his name, birthdate 02/2022, breed, pit bull, weight, 90lbs and proof of rabies shot. My son and myself are disabled. Reptar, the dog I was taking to get nails cut, has anxiety when in a vehicle. It took longer than I expected to leave the house.I called them back at 1:19pm. I explained my problem and was told to go ahead and take him in now or they would be there until 4pm. I told her we would be in in12 min. She said no problem. I went into the groomers area. They asked if that was Reptar and asked if I could please wait right outside the doors while they finished the two they were working on. We stepped out.One of the groomers, that wasnt there earlier, comes to me and says they dont have time for him. They are too busy and I need to reschedule. I had to show her proof of my phone calls. Explained the situation. She stood there for over 5 min arguing with me saying no one would have told me that. To schedule for a different date and I would get half off. I explained to her that in those five minutes she could have already started with his nails. She went inside comes backs and said the other problem they had was he weight too much, to what I responded they knew that when I schedule the appointment. She went on to say the person that ok’ed for him to be there was not there and went on to say “well we are not going to do it today. Schedule your appointment and we will take care of it free of charge”.THIS WAS MY FIRST AND LAST TIME EVER GOING THERE!!!!!

This is the worst Petsmart I have had to deal with!Groomer had no clue what she was doing and because of that I now have to reschedule but definitely not at this one.Waste of time and the hours available are definitely stupid!Madeline if you don't know what your doing you should not accept appointments under your name!!!Very unprofessional and a waste of my damn time!The groomers there look so damn lazy!You knew exactly what you were doing Madeline when you canceled us on the spot.I could tell she just didn't want to do the job.Lazyness at its best!!!!!!

I received a notification that my order was ready for pickup. Then received a notification that pet smart canceled it. They stated something about a glitch with their coupon and management told them to do it. It is not my fault as a consumer that you made a mistake. You should of honored it.

I got a GREAT COUPON email for a free bag of cat OR dog food.PetSmart also price matched farm&fleet ad $4 off on another bag of other cat food. My dogs enjoy going along shopping and the grooming services are 10% off for veterans AND SENIORS (that's me) OFFER PET ADOPTION WITH SHELTERS. Jonathan who works there is so helpful and courteous I was having trouble ordering an online item that had a coupon and could not get it to work he made sure to do it for me and got me my free bag for my new puppy and I am very impressed and grateful for the customer service. And they are all very kind and patient with all of the animals and most of the people that come into the store LOL I truly wonderful place to shop for all pet supplies and grooming

I always love giving my dog Lillie her "spa" day at PetSmart. A bath and nail clipping. Always a great job. Lillie says she feels "SASSY" afterwards!

Was going here for years for dog grooming and after today's experience we will never take our dogs back. We try to bring our English mastiff in for grooming bimonthly and he always got good reviews from the groomers for his laid back temperament. Today however was abhorrent a groomer we've never seen before treated him as a vicious dog and was very rough with him, even though he (in typical breed standard) has never shown signs of aggression and rarely even barks when agitated let alone use his teeth. Poor pup is stressed out and seeking comfort from our older pitbull.

Great place to get what you are looking for. They are a large chain, and have all the standard products. I have always been pleased with our local branch. Over the years, the staff have always been nice when I have interacted with them. We found our last two cats through here and adopted them from the shelter after meeting them at the store. Double thumbs up for PetSmart. And to quote a movie incorrectly - "Shop smart, shop pet-s-mart" .

I spoke with a young lady who had the worst attitude towards the customers and myself. If I’m not mistaken her name was sage. She’s holding her manager position to high above her head and needs to come back down to reality with the real people. Working at a pet store hahaha get an education.

I went for my dog's dry food. When I was by the register I saw a clearance cart with 2 bags of food and I took them instead of my dog's regular food. Regular food: $36. 2 bags of expired food: $20. I eat expired food all the time, my dog can do it also.They always have a very good customer service.

Great service when picking out a hamster. The gal was very knowledgeable. I learned that petsmart only carries female hamsters and petco only carries male hamsters. Who knew!

Nice store and groomers are very sweet with my puppy! Small little collection of dog bones and chews that my puppy likes to choose from. She always gets her nails clipped here too and they look great every visit.

The staff are always friendly and considerate towards us, our pet and our child. This PetSmart shines above others that we have been to, always happy with the service and the amount of time things take.We have our small dog groomed periodically. We used to believe that waiting 3 hours for grooming was too long. That was until we bought trimmers and videos to teach ourselves. The result of that knowledge is that we are very happy with PetSmart taking however long they so desire.

The store and salon are all clean and neat. There's usually someone around to answer any questions. There is one newish person in the Salon I didn't care for. If one works with the public, one wears deodorant.

Petsmart is one of my favorite places to shop for stuff for my dogs because you can see live animals and shop for your pet's needs! They have Birds, Guinea Pigs, Spiders, Lizards and so much more! 10/10 would shop again. The grooming is amazing as well!

This location closed the store early, again. This is the third time I've tried to go before 9pm, and the doors have already been locked. Tonight I arrived at 8:50pm, and as I was walking up to the store the personnel locked the doors while looking at me. If you intend on closing your store before 9pm, change your store hours altogether.

Petsmart is always my first choice to get my dog and the roommate's a new toy or bone. They have a wide variety of treats at affordable prices. The workers are so friendly and good with the two dogs. They do a great job grooming them as well. My two can be challenging when they get a bath, but the team is always good with them. The check out team is always friendly, welcoming and really good with the dogs as well. The staff is also very knowledgeable about their products. Keep up the good work, Dekalb location.

The people who work at PetSmart are friendly, helpful, and most importantly care about animals. They show true interest in pets and animals in general. The products in the store are neatly displayed and easy to find. I always enjoy bringing my dog in because she is warmly greeted even though she isn't super friendly. The store is clean and the atmosphere is open and welcoming. A nice place to shop.

I love PetSmart. Their curbside service is so helpful. I have a hard time walking and now I can shop for whatever I need and more from my comfy chair at home. Then drive there and they bring it out. Fabulous! If you do go in, they greet you, ask if you need help, smile, are friendly and have everything I need in one store

So glad to have this store. I've had dogs my entire life. All rescues. Prices and selection plus assistance are fantastic. We love the "Dog for Dig" program. High healthy quality food. Your purchase provides food for shelter dogs. Great feeling, and not over priced.

Dekalb PetSmart is a nice store. Generally see the same people working there, which in my opinion shows a happy,considerate group. Which gives this store character. Also anything you need for pets is what they're there for
