Their employees are magnificent. The cashier was able to get me through the line ASAP and another employee helped me by grabbing a cart for me and then quickly helping me bag the rest of my groceries. A.J. thank you man!

It's not a bad store but their prices are getting a little high, Also in the meat department the meat Slicer was just disgusting, It had tons of other meat from other customers. Don't think I will ever buy anything from the deli here again, Plus the kid working in the meat department had no idea How much or what kind of cheese or ham they had.

I'll be the first to admit that a lot of companies since COVID have extremely poor customer service but not my DeKalb, IL Jewel. I placed an order to Uber Eats for some hot fried chicken, upon delivery the chicken was not to my liking when it arrived. I called Jewel and with the help of Bob, the grocery manager who put me in contact with Renee the store Manager they went above and beyond the call of duty to get me a fresh order of chicken with no hassel. Renee, and Bob. Thank you, you have restored my faith in humanity. You are so appreciated 😊

It’s an OK grocery store, much cleaner than it used to be, but no matter what, you always seem to wait forever to check out. Two manned checkouts and 4 self-checkouts, all of which seemed to be having some sort of problem.

The building is handicapped acessable with the same for parking. Very clean. Fresh veggies. Check out was not bad at all. I like the human touch. If your in a hurry you can check yourself out. Use the jewel app and save some cash.

Was a nice small jewel food store .5/31/22 update.. I do like this store is the store I can find my smoked butt... and they have great fruits and veggies and that chocolate cake in the corner ...

Nobody beats Jewel-Osco's with are good muffins I love the pretzel bun rolls they have there five stars when I walk in that place I see big smiles the boss is completely friendly never rude so this place gets a hundred a hundred best place to go if you looking for muffins and pretzel bun rolls then Jewel-Osco is your place if you love Jewel-Osco just like me go there polite staff when I go to that place Jewel-Osco put a big smile on my face I am never sad I'm happy I love Jewel-Osco

General people OK. However employees working behind the deli are supposed to wear coverings over they head to prevent their hair from falling out into the food they are preparing. The management is required by law to follow basic guidelines for health care and safety of food preparation

The only place I can find Yellow Tail Jammy Red Roo 💛 Honestly, the cashier was friendly, and directed me to what I was looking for pretty easily. I had my younger sister with me, and she could also pay for her purchases in the spirits section and leave through the side door swiftly, rather than having to walk all the way through the store again.

I was driving by today when someone was mowing the grass outside and rocks went through my open window and hit me in the face.. It hurt ALOT and I yelled at said mower because again if really hurt. I got home and called the jewel to ask if they knew who the company was that mows the grass out there so I could contact them to let them know they shouldn't be mowing towards the road like that and explain what happened etc as it could have been alot worse had the rocks been bigger or if they had hit my son and whoever answered my call was extremely rude and wouldn't let me speak with a manager just to ask if they knew who the company was that did the mowing. I was nice with the person who answered but they weren't nice towards me at all and hung up on me. My face is bruised and cut from the rocks and I'm just over all really disappointed and still don't know who the mower company is. It's one thing I'd the manager couksnt give me info or anything but for a normal employee to be so rude and dismissive and to hang up on me is just super ignorant.

I like going for the great sales they have. But a certain employee bagger ( I’ve dealt with them before). Is very rude, I greet him the times he’s has served me and I get no response not even a “ have a good day “ or a thank you. He just kinda just throws whatever in the bags doesn’t quite organize them. I also wish they’d sell Boars Head deli meats and clean off the slicer when cutting a different meat/cheese. Also Jewel has to update prices as to when I go pay it’s the original price and no sale price then the employee has to go look up item in the department it’s from and says it’s not on sale. If it’s an old sale ad and it’s still there the customer should get it at sale price because someone isn’t doing their job. I go to meijers and those employees greet you with a smile and very efficient at what they do.

Jewel socks. I hate coming here. I avoid this place at all costs. Over pried. People have a hard time helping. Because they're too busy flirting with the cashier at the front of the store when they're posted at the back of the store. What a horrible experience!

It's over priced and under staffed and alot of patrons have no patience when it comes to poc. Every time it takes me awhile to pay they start giving me looks and when I apologize for the wait they just look away like they don't see me struggling to pay. But if it's an elderly white person they are all in to help her pay for her groceries even stuff she knew she couldn't afford. One time this old lady did that to me and had a bunch of cut up fruit that are like $7 each and she kept fumbling and looking back. I really had to look away because I have my daughter to feed and I'll be dead before I take food out of her mouth to put it in someone who wasn't even grateful to not say thank you to my face after I did try to pay for one thing for her. She really just walked out the store before it was paid for and didn't say anything to me. I only go here for the chicken Ceasar salad and sushi rolls.

I refuse to shop here after being treated horribly as a bakery employee last year. The woman who was training me ( Linda) is a sraight up bully. She didn't explain things properly, and would get mad and tell me to ask if I didn't know what I was doing. Then she would get mad if I did ask questions " I don't know what to tell you. I already explained this to you" basically refusing to train me properly. She ignored me when I was banging on the door to be let in for my 3am shift, then scolded me for being late. There is no way she didn't hear me pounding on the door. My knuckles were actually bleeding from pounding so hard.I left after 3 weeks of working with this horrible woman. And this store tolerates this behavior. If employee turnover on the bakery is high it is because of how she treats people.Other empmyees told me I would get used to her being grumpy. This tells me that this store encourages/tolerates toxic culture and bullyingIt os not ok to treat people like this. Do better.

Expensive! That being said.. wonderful produce! In my opinion the best around! But the workers tend to be a bit cold and impersonal. Even at times... Stuck up. Mostly the older seniority workers. The younger ones don't care one way or the other if you exist.

Very poor experience with their Deli. Went in this morning to get some ham. Three people working in the Deli. No other customers, and yet it took 5 minutes to get waited on. All three staff members tried to avoid eye contact with me and would quickly look away or down when they did. After it became apparent that I wasn't going to walk off, one young lady, sighed deeply, walked over to me and asked me if I wanted something. I told her I would like a pound and a quarter of ham very thinly sliced. She took out the ham sliced it, brought it over and weighed it (half a pound) and asked if that was enough. I told her no, I asked for a pound and a quarter and I asked for it THINLY sliced. (The slices were thick.) She rolled her eyes at me, sliced some more, threw it on the scale with the previous slicings and asked again, is this enough. (Just under a pound at this point)? Again, I told her I would like a pound and a quarter. Again with the eye roll. Slice, throw on scale package it, throw it on the top of the counter, then she just walked away without asking if I needed anything else.This is not the first time this has happened.If the employees feel it's too much trouble to actually provide the service they are being paid for, I'll go to another store like Hy-Vee where they don't treat customers like an annoyance.

The older woman in Delhi is rude..I had problems with her..she just ses thing out of the blue...I will not shop there..prices are too high also...I go there only for a quick item..love the chicken strips..but don't use deli because of her...

Don't like having to spend time loading sales into my phone. Takes a lot of time and much of the time the deal is not passed on. Last time I checked out, there were 5 items I didn't get the sale price on even they were loaded into my phone the day before

I get my groceries here every week or so and for two trips in a row I've bought food that turned out to be expired. Most recently today was beef jerky that was two whole months expired. I should probably be checking the expiration dates, but so should the employees at the store. I just don't think there's any excuse for letting expired food stay on the shelves for two months. A day or even maybe a week I can understand, things get missed. If you shop here always check the expiration dates, because I don't think the employees do.

My cake I ordered was beautiful & everyone loved it. I was able to grab the 3 things I needed for a party in the short time I had. The lines at the register were short & the cashier was very kind. They grabbed my ice for me & a cart to walk everything out. I don't see that too often anymore. We also love their meat sales!

Have been here a hand full of times, I don't go here often, mostly because of how parking is and it's cheaper to go elsewhere for majority of things. It kind of has a dirty feel when you walk in, they have self checkout and regular lanes that no one seems to have any motivation as to why they are there. Typical grocery store.

Great store friendly people always have what I want. There always new item's . I wish they would have more samples of the food little cup's of cooked food like Costco does. Otherwise I get my prescription refilled there . And the liquor department is pretty good too. No complaints. Been shopping at Jewel for 50 years. There still there they must be doing something right.

I don't shop here regularly and when I do go I'm reminded why that is. Prices are too high. Higher than other grocery stores in the area. Tried to use the app for coupons but the store wifi is wonky. Tried to use my app wallet code and it didn't work. Cashier tells me "they never work". Jewel has lots of customers when I'm in the store and I'm not sure why that is.

Picked up prescriptions. Pharmacist efficient and helpful. Answered all questions. When did not have supply of one of my medications gave me 4 day supply of a doseage equal to what was prescribed to make sure I would have what was needed until supply came in.

There are some things Jewel has that no other stores have. Like the BEST baked breads. And they're the only ones carrying Campbell's slow cooker sauces😊.And I do like the $$ of their fruits and veggies. Thank you for being so available for me/us....3/11/23: Fresh baked Irish soda bread, rye bread ,yum. Just in time for St Patrick's day 🙂. Cannot wait for the corned beef and cabbage.... 🍀

I feel the merchandise here is the best food dollar value.7/18/2019 I frequent Jewel. And the cashier forgot to give me my $20 cash back and I didn't remember myself. A quick call to customer service desk(Mikey was the gentleman who helped me) and they found my $20 and it will be waiting for me tomorrow. Solid/honest customer service. Can also be found at Jewel Osco.2/11/2022 Still my go to grocery store.4/19/2022 amazing meat prices despite inflation!
