It would be really swell if there wasn't always a line 6 people deep & one cashier working while the other 4 are talking amongst themselves in photo... & tell the employees they shouldn't smell like marijuana

Jimmie appears to be playing register games and even if he's not, it's still ridiculous. There was 2 workers at 2 registers. Guy in front of me is buying alcohol so I guess Jimmy is too young to ring it up. So alcohol guy has to wait in line for older cashier. So it is my turn and Jimmy won't ring me up claiming register does not work. It's highly unlikely that he made that mistake. Jimmy diverts me to another register at photo section pretending like he was going to ring me up there. We get to the register and Jimmie claims that one don't work. Well why did he bring me all the way to another register then. It is highly highly highly highly unlikely that Jimmie made the same mistake twice. Meanwhile the customers who were behind me are now in front of me because of Jimmie's games. I think Jimmie just wanted me at the back of the line so he kept running me around pretending he can't get registers to work so the people behind me can get in front of me. And even if they were honest mistakes they were still extremely ridiculous mistakes. 1 star regardless. Wish I could give lower. I'll be back next year to give you 1 star again. As soon as I get to the front of the line the register "don't work" all of a sudden. Get it together.

Pharmacy was out of almost all my prescriptions, and just stared at me when I asked if they could substitute them or help me another way, they were not nice, they were nosey. I always have issues with Walgreens pharmacy. Won't use them again.

Ryan (Pharmacy Technician) is very incompetent and he wanted to scam me for $517 for eye ointment. How come such a person is working at Walgreens posing a financial and health risk to people. If you see Ryan at Pharmacy, just run away!!!As a proof, I am posting my actual cost at another Walgreens location which is merely $5.55.

Sam is indeed a great asset to have at your pharmacy. He has earned our confidence to select you as our choice pharmacy. He is always attentive to all customers needs when I have been there to fill or puck up our prescriptions. Wish some of his customer service mannerisms and personality world rub off on some of the other staff behind the pharmacy counter

I accidentally locked my keys in my car in the parking lot and had to wait at this Walgreens location for over 4 hours. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly to me during this time and made the whole ordeal a lot more pleasant. Shout out to Kelly for going above and beyond for me by keeping my phone charged! The ladies here are great!!

I came this this Walgreens to grab some items.. Why as i was leaving the store i saw an employee being rude and disrespectful to an elderly lady. And to make it worse, this employee is the shift leader (Helen). Not only did Helen(shift leader) snatch the newspaper ad from the lady, she walked away and through her hand up as the lady was still talking. I could tell the lady didn't know how or what to say. So I asked another employee to call the manager.. As I was waiting on the manager to come to the front I saw the elderly lady and I had to hug her. A few minutes went by Helen comes up to the front and was like how can i help you. I asked her if she was the manager. She stated she was not; so I proceeded to tell Helen why I wanted to speak to a manger and how disrespectful and rude she was to the elderly woman. As I was talking, Helen turn away and walked away from me. The manager finally did arrive and i was able to voice my concerns to her( Darlene). Darlene who is the manager said that is not how we do things or treat our customers and asked if the woman was helped. The woman was getting help from another employee. I am sure this is way to long.. But it takes nothing to be kind to someone, especially an elderly person. Remember who day that could be you... Walgreens please do better. Helen, please have more patiences with the customers..

This morning at about 8:30 during sr citizen hours, i walked into the store and saw the cashier and two other women standing within 6 feet of each other with no masks, talking. I quickly walked through them to get my goods and check out. As I approached to pay, the cashier and the women were still standing together, as earlier. I asked why no one was wearing a mask and the cashier said that she can't breath when wearing a mask. I quickly paid and left the store. In following up by phone with the store about this unhealthy behavior, I called the pharmacy mgr who was not in. The floater pharmacy person passed me on to the manager (whose name he didn't know). The manager's phone rang many times; no one answered and the phone did not go to voicemail. My mother loves this Walgreens, but I doubt that I will ever shop there again.

0To the Walgreens Corporate Rx Team,After visiting the Walgreens located at 5753 N. Canfield Road in Chicago(#4937), I was compelled to write to Corporate to give my appreciation for hiring such a great pharmacist, Sam Sarantos, years ago. My parents live in the vicinity of the store and it is a major stop in their weekly senior citizen life. From a quick stop for groceries, batteries, over the counter meds and toiletries, the have frequently the store countless times over the years. I have heard them mention Sam, the pharmacist, by name over the years and heard praises of his quick, reliable and professional behavior always with a smile greeting my parents. I have lived in a varied of different states and have enjoyed most of my experiences with the Walgreens workers. It has been during this Covid Era that I have been able to see firsthand how Sam has interacted with my parents but all the customers at the pharmacy. My mother recently had surgery and I came to visit Chicago in her recovery. Many medications were a part of that. The growing joke with my nightly phone calls to my husband was how many times I visited Walgreens to pick up jello, Metamucil, photos, etc. I was able to hear other customers making it a point to say, "HI Sam." I was taken a back with how many people knew his name. I do not remember most of my Walgreens pharmacists names over the years despite my being contented with their dedicated work. My interaction with him was phenomenal. He knew my father by name and other faces in line as well. I thought that was amazing. Such a personal touch in these times especially during this 2020 pandemic year. With fears at bay, worries and concerns, he took time to explain new meds to all the people in line that I saw. The line moved quick despite this service. He was always answering phone calls and continuing to fill Rx. It was easy to see he cared about his customers and his work. There also came a time my mother needed a refill on a medication that she truly needed from a complication from surgery. It was aiding her tremendously but was not a regularly stocked item. Sam was so apologetic that he did not have it available at his store and could not for a couple days due to it being a weekend. He took the time out of his busy schedule to call many store in the Chicago market to make sure it was actually there despite the computer saying it was in stock. He called us later to let us know there was one available a 40 minute drive away and they would fill it for my mother. It was such good news because it put my mother at ease knowing she could continue utilizing it and not regress in her healing. I drove the miles back and forth and knew now why Sam was on a first name basis with many of his extended Walgreens Family. He treats people that way. I wish there was a Sam at all the Walgreens. I know that many things have changed in the industry especially on the time allotted for workers, specifically pharmacists, and the quick pace Corporate asks of them. We as customers can be demanding and want our items quick as if ordering from a drive thru but Sam does his job accurately, efficiently, friendly and with an old school mentality of, "how can I help you." I have already told him that I appreciated all he has done and will do for my parents. As a daughter who lives in another state from her parents, we depend on people like Sam, I am appreciative. Please know we are truly grateful for his service in the industry and we are fortunate he is at my parents' neighborhood Walgreens.

The Pharmacist and techs here,mostlt female are annoying all they do is whine and complain about prescriptions she has to fill or vaccines she has to do. I'd go somewhere elsewhere than deal with these hostile people complain about doing the jobs they're paid to do.
