I recommend Southwest Ace Hardware. I think this is the oldest store in the neighborhood. All staff friendly and helpful. They answer you, any questions. I bought kitchen faucet.! five stars to Southwest Ace Hardware.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. On 21APR24, I purchased a Dewalt Orbital Sander with a 20 V Max Power Stack Lithium Ion Compact Battery online. I received an email that it was ready to get picked up. I drove 25 mins and was told the batteries were not in stock. The staff could not figure out who “confirmed” the online purchase. The owner then tried to “remedy” the situation by offering me two opened batteries. I don’t know if the batteries were new, used, returned, refurbished, did they even have warranty??? Why would I accept something I did NOT PAY FOR??? He then doubled down saying the “Ad” says two free batteries which is was he offered me. Again, that is not what I paid for. Horrible experience. Do not recommend. Terrible customer service.

This was my first time here and the entire staff was very friendly. I came to have my glass window fix and the guy David did an amazing job. My dog bentley enjoy this pet friendly atmosphere. I love that the staff goes above and beyond to help their customers.

2/24/24I always have a great experience at this Ace location(staff always super nice and caring). My outdoor deadbolt door lock wouldn't turn into the lock position... I called and spoke to a super nice guy to which he said "just take it off and bring it in". Since he was super nice and actually seemed to care I decided to and drove over to the store. He looked at it and before immediately selling me a new lock he decided to spray the inside of the lock with wd40 and just like that my lock works again! He even rolled up my deadbolt lock into a towel so it wouldn't make a mess on the way home... My point is we have to continue to support local businesses like this. Turns out hes the owner lol. Keep up the great service guy's!

I was looking for a heater hose parts and Deside ask to an associate and it took us more time to go back to the alley than him fin wat I was looking for. 😁😁 The man knows his business so well. I was looking for a tree holder...I ordered it from here. The item hadn't come in yet, but the workers were really helpful and friendly and helped me with the process. You don't find alotta Ace Hardwares around or friendly people that work. Definitely a plus and a go to!

It's not a big hardware store, but you might find what you need here if you are missing some tools and parts that you need to have quickly.I live just a few blocks from this hardware, so I come here whenever I need some stuff for handy works at home. The people here are very knowledgeable - just ask or tell them what your issues are in your home, and they will help you. They also fix lawn mowers, sharpen blades, etc, etc.Their prices are a few dollars higher than the big hardwares, but when you really need the parts/tools/stuff, it doesn't count anymore (just my opinion).

Employees here are awesome. They have the answers, they assist, make jokes and care for customers. Yes they cost more than Menards or Home Depot but you get the right answer the first time and I got what I needed immediately unlike Menards.

I've already reviewed a Ace in Palos, but just wanted to do another for here. Amazing place, everyone is knowledgeable and ready to help if you have any questions. If you're unsure, take a picture and bring it in. They will be able guide you to what you need and how to do it. I can't say enough about going to an Ace instead of a big box store, especially this one.

Was recently there to pick up some dryer accessories and talk about making me feel uneasy. Said hello to multiple “employees” and received nothing but a blank and bewildered stare. Cashier lady was rude AF and couldn’t help but to overhear her demeanor instantly change when John Doe behind me was up. Definitely a vibe that screams 1952.

The best hardware store in the neighborhood, and most neighborhoods for that matter. Every time I come in, the staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about whatever project I'm working on. They've helped with so many projects at home and give the best advice. Prices are fair on hardware, key cutting services, and the like, and I love that they have stock of older parts and components that you may not find at big box stores. I'll never stop coming here for whatever I need.

WOW! highly recommend this Ace. Called them needed a quick repair for our snow blower and with a storm coming they were super busy. Jimmy said yes bring your machine over ill get the repair done. As promised we came in place was super busy he stepped right up and took care of me. 20 minutes later on my way with a perfectly running snow blower. Thanks Jimmy now that's remarkable service!!

Most workers were helpful and friendly. The cashier however, an older woman was very rude, did not greet me. And also snatched the item out of my hand, turned around and walked to a different cash register without saying a word. I will definitely stick to other hardware stores. Never coming back here.

This Ace hardware is among the best period. The staff is friendly, courteous and first & foremost to make sure the customers needs are met with satisfaction. I have had so many different projects that some of the other big name home improvement stores have rendered their customer service useless, if you are lucky enough to find an attendant. Jimmy and the entire team are always ready to help you find everything you need for your task. I cannot recommend this store enough!

Have to give a good review. it is the only ACE after I call almost 10 times. The only place can program a chip car key. Only thing important to mention is You need a CORRECT Chip KEY. then you can save 100$. Program first then duplicate metal key.

My neighborhood Ace and my favorite Ace! They usually have everything I need. Quick in and out because employees are so helpful and friendly for finding things and checking out. They also are very knowledgeable about different projects we may be working on, so they recommend the correct items and don't try to sell you anything unnecessary. Also love their reward program and coupons too that we get in the mail.

I went in for an aerator for my faucet. A balding man in his 50’s asked me several questions about my faucet. He was so condescending after I answered his questions about the type of faucet I had. I knew what I needed, yet he brought out products that would not fit, acting like I didn’t know what I was talking about. Then he had the nerve to ask me if I even knew what needle nose pliers were. Um, yeah I have a full toolbox dude and my dad actually taught me things. I just needed an aerator that fit my faucet. The check out lady is not friendly and miserable as well. How disappointing, because I chose to go there rather than Home Depot. I rather go to Home Depot.
