I like the selection of pets products they have here and the different price points. In addition, they have grooming services on site. The staff is nice. The store is hidden and you may not notice it right away. It's entrance is in the parking garage. You have to take stairs or the elevator to go to the lower level of the parking garage.

This location seems to be fully stocked. However, I have several questions on items that are available for on line, and pick up options that are never "in stock" when using this service. Curbside would be much more convenient if this issue would be resolved prior to picking up an order. That way, the consumer is not wondering why an item is missing. Overall, this pet store has it all. On busy days plan ahead as this area can be very congested, including parking and entrance locations.

When I asked if they had other green hornworms bc the ones on the sales floor were all dead, the friendly sales rep checked the back for more and found me a fresh batch. The sales rep was so nice and professional. Store was clean and had plenty of signage so it was easy to find products.

Customer service is usually good and staff are helpful. Store is clean and prices are reasonable...my dog enjoys his visits which he expects the treats behind the counter at ch3ck out...lol. The actual location is good but the parking garage is creepy because it's really dark. Overall I would recommend and typically make monthly trips to this location.

After a horrible experience at a local vet (Bronzville Animal Clinic), I cam to this PetSmart in The South Loop to their grooming department and met groomer Eva. She entered my dog's information so quickly and was done before I knew it. She gave me a total time of 15 min and she was done in 10! My pup was born with a defective toenail that grows quickly and curves and Eva shaped it right up without my pup having once. I used to bathe my dog myself but I may try Eva's skills a little more often I just know I'm not going back to Bronzville Clinic. Anybody know a good vet, local, please let an Educated Queen know!

We have a love/dislike relationship with this location in particular. We love the ease of booking the appointments and free parking. However, our pup’s grooming is inconsistent, even when utilizing the same groomer. Those small details are missed which creates a sooner appointment back. Maybe we need to be more detailed, but also more questions should be asked.

Poor customer service. I was cancelled same day because the groomer had COVID but they were not accommodating to help reschedule. I made a scheduling error and Mars in the groomer was extremely unprofessional and rude when I asked if she could accommodate me since they cancelled on me same day last week. She rolled her eyes and gave major attitude when I asked. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

I've been coming to this Grooming location for some years now, and I was very disappointed when they turned me away on a booked appointment for having a muzzle on my dog. Supposedly, there's a "policy" on that which isn't anywhere on their website or on any email notifications they send you confirming your appointment. How was I supposed to know about this "muzzle policy?" It was a big inconvenience, because I even took off work to get my dog groomed. I asked to speak to a manager and she couldn't even tell me where I can look up this "policy." The manager was no help whatsoever. My dog does great at the groomers, never had an issue. Excuse me if I was just being a responsible dog owner of a large dog and knowing that she is not friendly with other dogs. I was just taking an extra precaution since I had to walk all the way to the back of the store with my dog to get to the salon and then for them to refuse services. If I could give 0 stars I so would, because they don't even deserve 1 star. The whole team including the manager were very unpleasant and very unprofessional. I will not be returning to petsmart for their grooming services after this incident.

Normally I avoid in store purchases if I can avoid it, just because of the mark ups. I got a 25% in store coupon for signing up for the text newsletters here so I ventured in to buy some dog food. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to price match to their online website and had no issues using the 25% off coupon on top of that. I will admit I had a much better experience than I would have though. Store was clean, well lit, and employees were friendly. Knocked off a star due to the listed price of the store. The dog food I bought was online listed as $53 full price but in store was $56...I didn't have to pay that amount but I don't think it's fair to others who don't notice or know better.Lastly be careful driving down to the bottom of the parking garage, the ramp can only fit 1 car at the bottom...

i took my dog to the south loop location for santa photos; we went in on saturday and didn't get the pics; i brought gilligan back on sunday for a second set of photos; they staff was accommodating and explained there was likely a delay in recving their pics due to the volume; i've been bringing my dog here for free holiday pics for a few years and have seen that this service in growing each year; i want to say "thank you" to the staff for still maintaining great customer service during a hectic time and we will continue to patronize the store; we utilize a lot of services at this location from vet care to doggy daycare and we are still pleased with the overall service and care; thanks for the chance to do something fun with "our little one"!!!!!

Love PetSmart! Especially the Pet Hotel, I actually work inside the hotel where dogs are kept occasionally. I see the employees taking extra care of the precious cargo? They keep a clean place with hoses ready to clean any mess. Gee wish I was. Pet Hotel dog!

It looks clean and well-stocked and they carry my preferred cat litter as well as a wide variety of cat food options (I only feed wet food). The parking lot is on the underground level. Immediately upon turning into the parking structure (Canal St entrance), you’ll see a ramp to your right leading down to the Petsmart lot. If you pass it up, you can also use the ramp on the far end of the lot that connects all 3 levels of the lot. This is also the ramp you’ll use if you use the Roosevelt entrance. Parking in this lot is free.

I have brought my Pyrenees to this location for three years for grooming with no problems. They do a consistently okay job and can schedule her with about a week's notice, whereas the other groomers in the South Loop usually require an appointment about a month in advance, so they are convenient. I bring her pet passport, which she uses for FLYING, let alone grooming visits, and is a record of ALL her vaccinations with the stickers from the individual dose that was administered from each shot received as well as the tag id number from the rabies vaccine.This morning I took my Pomeranian there for the first time at 8 am, also with her pet passport, and was refused service because it wasn't the official rabies vaccination certificate you receive from the vet along with the tag id. The PetSmart website says you must bring "paperwork" not the official certificate, and the paperwork I provided has worked for the past three years with the other dog I used to take there. I also pulled up the vet's information so Nancy could call them and verify that pet was up to date, but because it was 8 am, she got voicemail. I declined to reschedule and calmly and kindly left, and immediately scheduled a future appointment with a small, trendy, quality local independently owned grooming salon, despite the inconvenience, and will not ever be coming back. I later called to speak to the salon manager Ericka, and when I asked what paperwork they require for first time visits, I got a long excuse about what they do and do not take, which frankly made me feel as though Nancy knew that she was wrong that morning and regretted her nasty passive aggressive attitude with me, and Ericka was trying to help her clean up her mess. I will not being going back, because I don't trust them to not retaliate against either of my dogs, and they have only ever done a consistently OKAY job in the past. Some of the groomers have done really great work, but it seems like they don't stick around long at this location. I will be going to Howlistic Grooming instead. It usually takes longer to get a big dog on their schedule, but they do an amazing job every single time.

I came in last Saturday to look at PetSmart's animals. I was very pleased to see how spacious the cat cages are, and how many toys they have. In particular, I met AJ the cat, who is the cutest cat ever. He looks like my own cat, Froot Loop, but AJ has some white markings on his chest and paws. I played with AJ for a bit through the cage bars. He is a good cat. I think someone should adopt him soon. I have attached pictures of AJ, Froot Loop, and a short playlist of songs dedicated to AJ and his transition as he finds a new home.

As an owner of a high energy dog, I cannot recommend this location's doggie daycare enough. The staff is so wonderful with my dog and always tells me how he did throughout his day with them. It is also affordable and convenient with hours that fit my schedule. They also have theme parties a few times a month in which they take pictures of the dogs in front of various backdrops and or costumes and it really is the cutest thing! Thank y'all so much for your help with my dog!

HERE IS THE TRICK TO GETTING INTO THIS STORE. The entrance to the store is really hard to find from the street. On foot, enter the parking lot from canal street (right behind the diner) and look for the yellow stairs. Then follow the smell of the pet relief station 😂 driving, go to the very lower level of the parking garage following the PetSmart signs. Once you find it the store is well stocked and the employees are polite. Prices are only competitive if you use their rewards points and coupons.

This used to be the first choice location for me and my pups but when they did away with the Banfield Animal hospital, I had to go to the Elston location for my dog's prescription dog food. Other than that, it's an awesome place with friendly staff. They enforce masks despite vaccinations as well.

Had my dogs nails trimmed at the grooming center today, and my dog walked about with blood oozing out of her nails. It was so sad. I was told my dog was vicious because she bit at the least who clipped my dogs nails. I’ve literally never had an issue any where else, nor so I when I do them myself. Please tell me my dog is vicious again.

Recently found three guinea pigs in their dumpster , ALIVE. And this isn't the first time they've thrown away LIVE HEALTHY animals. They throw away reptiles and fish all the time, but today finding three alive, healthy guinea pigs in their dumpster was the most disgusting and selfish thing they've could have ever done. Never go here nor support them.

I didn't get the price quoted online when i made the appointment. The Groomer wasn't friendly, i ended up not trusting her with my Cat. My cat came back full of hair and not smelling like a fresh bath was givenHe was relaxed however so I was happy about that

I got my puppy groomed for the first time and I booked with Danielle B.! She is the best groomer ever!!! So excited to have a puppy and a well behaved one at that! When I went to pick him up she gave him some fragrance and a bandana. Highly highly highly suggest her!

This is the closest pet store that’s with reasonable price. I love getting the blue ribbon food for my kitten. However they have a limited selection of toys and accessories. Staff are friendly. The store smells like pees every time I visit.

I would advise against using this location if you are a petsmart grooming client. Not only did my dog come down with a bad case of kennel cough within a week after being there they also just in general didn’t do a great job.The person who groomed her honestly seemed high when I dropped my dog off, yanked my dogs feet around in front of me so lord knows how she was when I was not there (my dog has hip displaysia), and tbh she had the worst attitude/demeanor/customer service.She made me feel so uneasy I considered going back in and taking my dog. I opted to call and talk to the managers bc I know I can be an anxious dog mom and they were super nice - but I kinda regret that approach bc I feel that it was communicated to the groomer and I just get the vibe (from how it was when I picked my dog up) that she felt some sort of way about it.Other staff there was great! But since that visit my dogs anxiety has been horrible, she got sick, and they left a massive knot in her tail as well as didn’t so some of the trimming I asked for. Other locations are great and I’ve had luck with petsmart grooming in the past for sure - but I’ll never return to this location. While the store manager and grooming manager were both super nice I still feel very strongly that something was off with the girl who groomed my dog and I just would never trust them alone with my dog again. My dog is usually excited tk go home when I pick her up but she was desperate and anxious to leave when I got there to pick her up. Overall super disappointed because I have been a pretty loyal petsmart shopper and grooming client.Edited to add: I had originally scheduled this appt for a weekday with the girl who groomed my dog. They called me that day and canceled it bc she called out. That’s how they said it to me in the voicemail. She called out. So I had to reschedule to the next available - a weekend. One of my concerns when I dropped her off was the groomer saying she wouldnt get to her right away. My dog is 160lbs and hasn’t been crated since 6months old. And basically the girl told me she’d be in their crate for a while. Even tho this was a scheduled appt that I was not late for. Her and management suggested I schedule on weekdays to avoid it being too busy and that happening - which I had originally done. Except she called out…. So again just a disappointment. Also psa if you don’t want your dog sitting around in a crate apparently you have to specially choose and pay for them to get to have their appt at their appt time??? Such a bizarre concept. Can’t imagine going to get my hair done at a scheduled time and then being like yeah you scheduled this but we need you to sit in the back for an hour or two before we can get to you.
