I bought a large storage divider box and paid the cashier. Cashier left without even handing me the receipt. She was busy doing other things and only one lane was open for check out. I waited for the cashier to give me my receipt but she never came back. There were many other customers waiting behind me. I asked another store lady if I can take my own receipt generated by the system. She said yes. So I took it and left. When I came home, i took the storage box out, and saw there was one little box damaged in the corner. I went back to the store within 30 mins and I told her if I can get a refund or an exchange and she refused. It was the same cashier who apparently is also the store manager. Her name is April and is the most rude person with the worst customer service I have ever experienced in family dollar. I will never shop back in that store. That storage box only costed me $3 but her rude behavior was very disturbing. Thr cashier yelled at me that she did not sell me in that condition but I asked her if she ever checked the back side of that storage box before selling that to me. She didn't reply but I know she didn't because I saw her the entire time. She didn't even bother to give me my receipt. Poor poor management. Store #11064 in Chicago.

This is a fairly new store and in my opinion it's in the perfect location. Clean, neat and organized aisles and associates offer average customer service.Lots of home essentials, cleaning & laundry supplies, a nice health&beauty department as well as several aisles of food, condiments, chips, drinks, candy and meal prep kits. Also there are a few freezers that offer a small variety of frozen and refrigerated items. The baby section has the very basic stuff like diapers, wipes and bath products.Parking lot is clean and garbage free and is shared with a laundry mat. There are 3 entrances/exits and is easily seen while driving on Belmont Avenue.Overall, not to bad... You can shop at your leisure and/or pop in real quick for last minute needs.

Always well stocked when I go in. Helpful staff. For you candle lovers , I recommend the vanilla lavender for $5. Can't beat it at that price.

Today that I went to the store at 1pm they had a cashier that didn't want to put my things in my bag she wanted me to do her job! I asked her it is not your job to do it !!!and I answer rudely! It was a mean cashier and a head tail that was about 23 years old or more ... this had never happened to me !!! Everyone is friendly ! .. I think I'll stop going to that store!

went to store (dollar store) then to coffee store returned with a boot on car. Total scam I bought something at dollar store and save - $140.00. I shall never return, This store is a scam and will boot you if you go to any other store other then the dollar store. I SHALL NOT RETURN.

It's ok dollar General is a better place better deals and more name brand items then family dollar but I have to say the staff at family dollar are more polite and more helpful then dollar General

Went to the Belmont & Central one, which I guess is closest, but the nice 😊 & very helpful lady there said there's one on Diversey & Central which is a little closer for me.
