This review is really more for an employee. I literally just went through drive thru to get a few coffees and the girl that took my order was just great !! I worked at McDonald's for 9 years , working my way up to 1st assistant so trust me when I tell you this girl is a valuable asset . I wish I had gotten her name. She was taking orders around 6am this morning (feb 14th 2023). Anyway give that girl a raise and make sure you don't lose her!!

Quick service, clean, accurate order, & clean bathrooms. But, I have to use a cane & had my 3 Grandbabies with me, ages 2, 6, & 8 with me. I would have thought that one of the employees would have offered to carry my tray FULL of food to the table🙄 While we carried our drinks. Thank Goodness my Nephew was there in line & helped me. Fine in Customer Service could use improvement.

The absolute worst service of anywhere I've ever been (Chester) Ordered 3 times at the drive up and they couldn't get my order correct.Then had words with the incompetent manager. (She was the one taking my order) Requested District Manager's phone number and was told she didn't have it. If you want to improve service., FIRE everyone and shut it down! This place is below a one star rating!!

UPDATE.. 2/4/22 The food is hot and correct with friendly customer service. What I find fascinating is that I get asked to pull around to wait on my order--> see photo.. I suspect this is a way to manipulate the drive thru times which I assume is part of the franchise ranking system and or bonus ranking structure for managers and owners... Pure speculation on my part but I can't help it when I order 3 McDoubles, 3 McChickens and 2 baskets of french fries! Overall it's a good experience.

I'm generally not a big fan of McDonald's to begin with, but this one isn't too bad compared to other McDonalds. I haven't ever had a problem with the quality I feel like being less than any other McDonald's quality at other locations, it usually seems to be freshly cooked. This McDonald's is not very easy to find if you're not familiar with the area or don't just stumble upon it on your way through town. At this location, customer service is usually consistently fast and friendly and I've never had a problem with the cleanliness at this establishment. There is an outdoor play center for young children, but I'm not sure if it is in use at this time as I haven't tried to visit it, I've only been through the drive-thru since the beginning of the pandemic.

It's hard to mess up a coke, which is my typical order here, between stores for work. I have ordered the mcdouble and fry a couple times but they always forget to leave off the cheese. Aside from that and the temp of my fries being hit or miss, they expedite swiftly and it's cheap so about what I expected.

Hit and miss. Sometimes you get what you order, sometimes you don't. They French Vanilla Lattes are bitter and chemical flavor. My daughter got a happy meal with no chicken nuggets, only fries. They are very hit and miss.

Worst McDonalds you will ever go to. Rude manager. Never gets your order right. When called on it they threaten to refuse service to you. Even though recently remodeled it always looks dirty.

Every time I order here, they screw my order up. Asking for breakfast sauce is a big deal. It's in a squirt bottle, in the refrigerator by the cooking station. NOT THAT HARD! I wish Sharon was there all the time, then maybe things would get done right the first time!

I am upset more McDonald's cant put out quality material that this Chester location has provided me. Buns are always crispy, fries are more salted and always a generous amount of mayo/sauces. Timing is relatively fast. In a range from Chester to Carbondale this location takes #1 for me. -09/2020

Lucky to even receive a star at all. They got the order messed up when I went thru drive thru and was very rude when I took it back inside. I had to ask for my reciept. Also they lied when I asked for the customer complaint and comment number and said they didn't have one. Very unsatisfied with this visit. Had to come home to Google cooperate number to also report the sandwiches were raw and sodas and fries were only half full.😡😡😡

The staff is very friendly and provides great service. This McDonald's issues table tags so that you may sit while waiting on your food. Wait is always very minimal and food is fresh.

So I went to McDonald's today and ordered a strawberry shake and two fish sandwiches.It's hot outside today and I got a pretty good drive to get back home. I asked the person that waited on me to put my shake in a bag so it wouldn't melt as quickly. They take the shake back put it in the bag with the fish sandwiches and hand it to me tell me have a nice day. I said wait a minute I asked for a bag to keep the shake from melting and you put it in with my hot food what's up with that.I asked again for the milkshake to be put into a bag a separate bag which I did not specify the first time. Gots to be more careful what I say. I got to remember I was young and didn't know anything once also. now I'm old and I know that is a shakes going to melt by the time I get home if I don't take precautions. Besides in Trouble for bringing home a melted shake. Me l End of conversation. I've always liked their fish since I was in college 1973 when we didn't even have a McDonalds in Chester.

This is a small store but the staff was pleasant and the place was clean. We just stopped in for an afternoon snack and coffee while exploring the area. I was so tempted to say, "I will gladly pay your Tuesday for a hamburger today" but my wife insisted that I not do that. :-) (In case you don't know, Chester, IL, is the home of Popeye and the famous hamburger moocher J. Wellington Wimpy -- and all the other Thimble Theater characters.)
