This was a great mom and pop option! Great customer service. We had breakfast, and it was tremendous. We had the steak and eggs, and it was prepared correctly and tasted wonderful. Cannot wait to return again and try other foods and their salad bar! Highly recommend everyone was friendly and outstanding food.Parking: Plenty of room when we were there.Kid-friendliness: Great reasonable prices.Wheelchair accessibility: All doors accessible

I just had the most amazing breakfast meal! It was seriously delicious! The skillet I had was a combination of crispy hash browns, savory sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melted cheese; the veggies added a nice touch of freshness and the seasoning was on point. It was the perfect way to start my day! Highly recommended. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

I ordered a $22 dollar steak, medium rare. They proceeded to bring me a well done steak. When I asked about having it remade the server told me "I don't think they will because of how expensive it is." OK so I'm just supposed to pay for a steak I didn't order? So a few minutes later the server comes back out and admits that two steaks came out at the same time and they got them mixed up, but they STILL won't remake my steak, despite this being their own screw up. They offer to comp my meal and give me free dessert, but I'm still left with a steak that's overcooked and not something I ordered. The free dessert was also terrible. I got cherry pie and it had about 4 cherries in the whole slice, the rest was just cherry flavored sugar paste. Horrible experience and I will never eat here again. If you want to keep customers happy, own up to your mistakes and fix the meal.

Amazing hole in the wall diner just off the beaten path. Absolutely amazing quality food for very reasonable prices. Friendly staff and clean. I will definitely be stopping here again next time I find myself passing through!

Excellent roadside family restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive, coffee was good as was my breakfast: chicken-fried steak and eggs with a side of hash browns and rye toast.Glad I opted out of a large chain restaurant and tried a small town place instead.Parking: I arrived somewhat early (8:30am on a Sunday) stop parking was plentiful.

Absolutely a great place to stop for a meal. We stumbled upon the restaurant while gassing up at the Shell station next door.Daily specials and a large menu. We ordered off the menu. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted great. An ample quantity of food was presented that pleased the eyes and the palette.Looking forward to stopping there again on our next trip to Chicago.

I ordered the Lasagna meal. Used the one side for a side salad with ranch. The salad was basic but fresh. For me, it was an excellent salad. Lasagna was good, but some of the bottom noodles were a little too tough for me. Glad they provided a steak knife with it. Customer service was excellent. Everything was clean. Even the restrooms were clean and stocked. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to return, but if I’m on 55 and hungry, I wouldn’t hesitate to stop in Chenoa to eat here.

The service was fast and friendly. The restaurant itself was clean and tidy. The waitstaff were quick to fill a drink when it was running low and the food was hot, delicious and plentiful you will not leave hungry! They do have a lot of choices so it might take you a while to decide what to get.

There was nothing wrong with eating here, but nothing at all stood out. Eating here was an all around forgettable, middle-of-the-road experience. Hash browns came out mushy.

In my travels I have determined that a true test of a restaurant is it's treatment of Liver and Onions. If you can do this well you can really say you've accomplished something. Chenoa Family Restaurant has some room for improvement. The liver itself was tender and moist but not rare. While it may have had a nice crisp to it coming off the grill, that was lost in the pool of beef juice in which the generous portion of meat swam. The onions that came with the liver needed about ten more minutes on a hotter grill. There was time for this had the cook honored my request for crispy hash browns. Sadly this was not done. I ate the green beans (the only thing on my plate that was overcooked) and half of the liver. The rest was brought home where I will fire up my cast iron skillet, put some color on those onions and crisp up those browns.

Server was great and the food was good. The part that was unbearable was over hearing the kitchen staff scold the server and you can feel the negative energy of the staff amongst themselves. They should really do something different so the staff can have a positive attitude to focus on the customer and not have to worry about the management and co workers ruining their day

We went for breakfast on two separate occasions. They have really good food. Their biscuits and gravy are fantastic. Prices are fair and they have a good selection. I would like to try them for other meals maybe.Kid-friendliness: The menu has a few options for kids. The waitress the first time was very kind and patient with my kids. The second time we went a different waitress seemed very impatient with all of us and snappy at the kids - they were not even that busy. It made me really sad because going out to eat as a family is something we do often, but wouldn't want this experience again.
