Came to this store to shop for hardware when I saw an associate talk down and intimidate another person. By what it looked like, the associate was not following proper customer service skills and practically talked down to the other person who, beforehand, was speaking to another associate in a congenial manner. Turns out, the associate is the store's new manager Stephanie Johnson. After seeing her inappropriately talk to another person as a representative of The Home Depot, I can say that she needs further customer service training. I will not come here again.

There's a lot of home improvement stores that I hate, but these guys are pretty reasonable to customers. I knew a handful of people who worked there over the years, and it sounded like they weren't treated well. I've never worked there, so I don't know. 3 stars for being reasonable and not having much more to say about it.

Are you moving? We went there to get some moving supplies. Cardboard boxes were priced well & several sizes. Totes of various sizes and types are priced well. I like how they offer different size packing tape rolls: with and without dispensers so you can get the amount you need. This was a good trip. Only thing negative is the self checkout lanes that I hate. We don't need everything automated and people need jobs. Some of us like to interact with other humans. Anyways, I wish we had one of these in my hometown! Sorry, no pics. We were in a hurry and I forgot.

Dishwasher acquisition from Home Depot in Champaign has been a total nightmare (a nightmare that has not ended, nearly a month after making my order online). The delivery people arrived last week-- they were extremely rude and had a horrible attitude the entire time they were in my home. Then, they removed my old dishwasher before realizing that the dishwasher they were supposed to deliver was damaged and couldn't be installed. After damaging my floor and making a huge mess with water everywhere, they left without providing an estimate of when another dishwasher would arrive. Most importantly, they left my sink inoperable because they removed the water supply line to the dishwasher without capping it. . . .and apparently it is the same water supply line as my sink. When I turned on my faucet, water sprayed everywhere! It took me two days, lots of youtubing, and and some amateur plumbing just to use my sink again. 0/10 would not recommend the delivery service. I wish I had just rented a truck and handled delivery myself. I am furious. After almost a week since the first delivery disaster, there is still absolutely no information about when a new dishwasher might arrive, despite several attempts to contact customer service (currently on hold and losing hope of ever communicating with a human being). Actually, I wish I had never bought this dang dishwasher and I will ask for a refund if I ever get through to customer service.**Update: The dishwasher finally arrived! It took more than a month to finally get it, but this time a different delivery team was very careful, helpful, and polite. They offered to install the dishwasher for free to partially atone for the chaos that ensued last time. I'm still not too happy about how long it took to finally achieve dishwasher, but the new team did a much better job.

The paint specialist was not there so they had someone who had no idea what they were doing at the paint counter. When we got there, another customer was helping her do her job because she couldn’t. Then we asked her to call over a manager which took almost 20 minutes. When the manager came over she just told the lady to switch with someone else. The manager didn’t apologize or acknowledge us at all. Then they couldn’t even help us get the paint sample we needed.

Placed an order online, went to pick it up a hour and half after placing order. Told me it would be 10 mins, after waiting awhile they told me my order has not reached the system yet. I asked to cancel order, so i could grab my items myself. After canceling order went to grab the last jet black epoxy they had but couldn’t purchase it since it was on hold for my order that supposedly didn’t hit the system yet. Was not able to grab the item I needed the store wasted my time and I won’t be going back.

I ordered flooring over a month ago.Didn’t hear anything until I called asking about it after three weeks. When I called I got voicemail. Called again. Was told I’d get a call back. Waited a day and called again. Heard the same thing.Finally got a delivery date scheduled and it was water damaged after being left out in the rain. Was told by the driver that they would reorder it and call me to reschedule.Got a call the next day asking if they could redeliver. I asked if they had replaced the damaged goods and they had not. I said that was obviously a problem. Got told they’d call me back. It’s been almost a week.Called twice more and I keep getting told someone will call me back.Something is very wrong here. Considering a chargeback.

Their plant prices are a little higher here like way higher than I'm used to but they had the availability that I needed so that's a positive. Also their plants are in good condition. I didn't see an abundance of near death plants or any really. The checkout experience meh both of the cashiers were on their phones. I guess I was supposed to use the self checkout that I didn't know existed because this was my first time coming in here. It took a employee from a different department that just so happened to be walking by that got their attention for me to be able to get checked out. I don't think I'll come here again.

This place is a joke, lazy and dumb! I went in to buy 100 cedar pickets because they shorted me that many to begin with. I went to the counter because they have all the spaces filled w treated pickets. He told me they have 3500 in stock but they were up high so at first told me they couldn't take them down because they didn't have any open spots for them. I guess that was my fault I filled all the spaces with treated. I told them I need 100 so then they agreed to take them down. 45 minutes later they got them down and it was more treated. Then they said sorry we don't have any, I guess the 3500 disappeared. If I was this bad at my job I wouldn't have a job. I went to Lowes and the worker found some in the garden section because he was smart enough to look.

We will never spend another dime at Home Depot again. We bought one of the most expensive dishwashers they carry, only to not get $250 worth of services and products that we paid for. I then had to spend a combined 3.5 hours on the phone, most of which was spent being put on hold or hung up on, then being called back at the wrong number despite correcting the callback number on several occasions, just to get my money refunded. Every single employee I dealt with through this ordeal were remarkably rude, unhelpful, and had absolutely zero interest in doing their jobs. This is clearly a systemic issue of poor hiring practices, poor training, understaffing and a general lack of regard for the customers that keep them in business. I guess we're a Lowes household now.

They put the checkouts at the opposite end of the main entrance. It makes any quick purchase turn out to be inconvenient. 90% of the time there are only 4 self checkouts open and no cashier available to help. A move in the wrong direction.

Don't buy appliances here. We bought a fridge and waited four months to get the right door shelves delivered. I spent hours on the phone to get that figured out.We ordered a dishwasher and was told it was in stock. The first delivery date got rescheduled. The second delivery date got rescheduled. The third delivery date came and went with no phone calls or emails. I called to discover that it wasn't in stock when I ordered it in the first place. All they could tell me was that it was 'in a nearby warehouse and we can deliver it next month'.Every major purchase I have made at this location has been wrought with problems and has resulted in me spending hours on hold and dealing with customer service. I highly recommend you shop elsewhere to avoid the hassle.

Horrible customer service even all the way up to corporate. Dealing with delivery issue on washer and dryer for months. We've had multiple delivery dates and then get different lies each time it can't be delivered. Then we decide to cancel the order and then the same day get a call the appliances will be delivered the next day. Our refund has not been processed yet but they refused to let the delivery company deliver despite them saying they could deliver. So now we have to wait for a refund and then order the washer and dryer again and wait gosh know how long until delivery. Our refund is partially on store gift card so we cannot just go somewhere else unfortunately. Will never spend another penny at this place. Awful

The people inside were very helpful. But when we were leaving we asked for help the lady called no one came. I went back in asked again, no one ever came out so my husband figured out a way to hoist it in the truck. We're seniors and really could have ysed the help.

Home Depot has almost everything you could need to maintain or renovate a home. They have plants, lawn mowers, tools, lumber, and everything you could need to build a home as well. Their prices are usually cheaper than Lowe's also.

I went to Home Depot to get some shelves for a bookcase that I had which had none. I am a 82 year old senior citizen and know nothing about wood or shelving. I walked into the department and saw this already busy salesman and told him I wanted shelving. He asked what kind. I told him the cheapest kind he had. He asked garage? I said yes. We walked to another department and saw plastic shelves. I wanted just the shelf I had the wood frame. He was so nice and patient and helpful and generous with his time because he was busy when I approached him. I then followed him to another place with plastic unit shelves. I told him I had the wood case & only wanted the shelves. He said there are three possibilities. Plywood, ready made colored shelves and the. Regular wood. He went on to say now u want the least expensive . Let’s figure this out. I declined plywood. After checking the other two. We determined it best to get the colored shelving and cut it How nice ofMr. John Tully I saw his name on badge. This is long I know but how often does one run into a salesman that will walk to other departments to help a customer. I have never had such a pleasant experience gaining knowledge about what I want when I really didn’t know what I needed. Thank you Mr John Tully at the Champaign store in the wood department.
