What a terrific old style custard stand! Base flavors include the standard chocolate and vanilla, but they also have lemon and strawberry, which is unique. Super friendly service in the walkup window. I tried the lemon custard, which was excellent. Love the overall vibe. I visited during the off-season, but I heard it gets really busy in the warmer weather. A must visit when in Champaign!

We stopped here after leaving a concert. We had never been there before. We went inside to order. The line moved quickly, and pick-up was just as quick. I got a peanut butter fudge snowstorm (like a blizzard), and it was AMAZING!! The ice cream was the smoothest I have ever eaten! It was made with real peanut butter. I wish they had a smaller size, but I made do! Lol

Cold fudge and teddy bear cup are still my favs and I'm almost 40. Been going here with the grandparents since I was a kid, great memories and unique treats. When I go back, not much has changed, still a great visit every time. Their flavors of the week are fun and unique too.Parking: Parking lot next to store and outdoor picnic tablesWheelchair accessibility: Accessible parking near door. It was the best ice cream I've had! They make their own waffle cones, and I can tell. I ordered a waffle bowl ice cream with a nestle crunch, pecans, vanilla and strawberries ice cream, and cold fudge. It was amazing. If you are on a diet, do NOT come here. I ate my ice cream so fast because it was sooooo good. Deff will come back.We had to wait. This place is very popular but it's worth it. The price is high too. They have their own parking lot. We got lucky, and we found one right away.

Very slow service despite many staff behind the counter! I was the only one in line waiting for my snow storm. And there were 2 groups that came behind me. Very Long wait for mine one snowstorm but the couple/ Two people that came after me got their order first before I did. Not very organized 😕 and slow .there wasn't a crowd or anyone outside. The best ice cream 🍦 shop in Urbana-Champaign. We tried many flavors and combos. This is the Vanilla flavored sundae with cheesecake as the topping. There's a variety of combinations. All of them are definitely 5-star. The ice creams are made of local dairy products which differentiate from other ice cream shops.

Thid used to be my favorite ice cream stop but no more. I've tried giving them several chances since fall 2023. Snowstorms ingredients are so scant as to be unnoticeable. Cold fudge sundaes at over $6 barely have any fudge. I kept thinking it was a fluke. Staffing issue. But this is a trend after 5 attempts. I'm done paying premium prices for minimal products. Sad as this is a Champaign institution but this is ridiculous.

My friends like their ice-cream a lot. This place has a walk-in and drive thru. There are outdoor seats available. Beware the melted ice cream on the seats and on the table. Available parking on the premises. This store seems very popular and I can understand why! Check it out!

Wonderful custard in Champaign Urbana, Illinois. Jarling's offers a high-quality custard with multiple toppings and fruits. The shop has been a fixture in Champaign for many years. There are benches outside to sit and savor the frozen custard. The shop has a drive-thru, and there is an ample parking. A must visit if your are visiting Champaign.

They treat their employees very poorly. Minors make under minimum wage, no employees receive tips. Once walked in on a teenager crying after being yelled at by management. Their frozen desert (not technically custard or even ice cream) is fine, but is from mass-produced mixes and factory flavorings. Same with the toppings. Very intentionally misleading marketing. Despite its local family marketing, there is nothing homemade here and nothing community and value-driven about this business.

One of my favorite ice cream places on earth!The strawberry shortcake and banana split snow storm is the top two! It's always packed during summer days, but the place is always well-organized, with friendly staff. Hands down for this place :)

Not bad ice cream at all. I fashion myself, at the expense of my belly, to be an ice cream specialist. While I would say this ice cream is the best, I do place this ice cream at the top of my must visit when in town ice creams. The seating is outside and the business was well staffed. They moved through the orders quickly.

The frozen custard here is better than any ice cream you can buy at the grocery store, better than Culver's and Freddy's, and way better than TCBY. You'll pay a lot for a tiny little cup of custard, but it's oh so delicious. Their drive-through is very convenient. The rating I gave reflects my perception of the value of the quantity you get for the price (poor) along with the quality of what you get (excellent).

Grew up in Champaign - LOVED Jarlings and my family came frequently. I always got the peanut butter cup snowstorm because the flavors were so good! Chock full of peanut butter and chocolate. This is the new Jarlings, I guess. My peanut butter cup snowstorm is just vanilla, with like 2 chunks of chocolate. The rest of my family’s orders were also disappointing. Looks like after 30 years we’re on the hunt for a new spot

I don't understand why people like this place! I have been here 4 times so far, two of those times they messed up my order, three of those times, the frozen custard was half melted by the time I got my order. As far as taste, I can usually go to Meijer and get better stuff. I've had amazing frozen custard, this isn't it.

If options and custard are your thing, you can’t do better than this place. Cold fudge is their thing and if you are a hot fudge fan you have to try it! I’ve not had a custard there I didn’t like!
