We took a trip to Curtis Orchard & Pumpkin Patch with three of our adult children and four of our grandchildren. It was a fun, family time. There was plenty of activities for the whole family to participate in together. The activities included a corn maze, climbing tower, miniature golf, jumping pad, slides, pony and wagon rides, face painting and target shooting. The facilities offer food and refreshments, kettle corn and a variety of fresh bakery and apple related products. Pumpkins abound to buy and take home in time for Halloween. The day was overcast, but the weather did not interfere with our fun. The place was very crowded. This made movement somewhat challenging and required keeping a watchful eye on the little ones. The store was literally wall-to-wall with people resulting in long lines at checkout. Our cashier left her station several times, which delayed checkout even more. We looked for pumpkin doughnuts, but only apple was available. Despite these small complaints, we had fun and plan to return next year.

An amazing place. The best apple orchard and pumpkin patch in Urbana-Champaign area. Fresh apples can be picked from the orchard in a decent bag as much as you can. The admission fee for the apple picking is 9 dollars/person. Apples are very fresh and tasty. Also, there are lots of fun things to do for kids, for example, pony ride, corn maze, caricature, etc. Definitely, worth exploring this place in this season. I would recommend visiting there by the end of October 29.

A yearly visit is tradition for our family! I loved this place growing up and I'm happy I get to share that with my son. And of course the donuts and cider are a fabulous Fall treat!

Had a great time at the orchard. We drive an hour and a half, every year, from Indiana to come and visit. There's plenty to do for everyone. Corn maze, games, face painting for the kids, a little petting zoo, pumpkins for days of different types, shapes and sizes. A huge apple orchard to pick your own apples if you like and a great gift shop and little restaurant if you're hungry. Definitely get the apple donuts! Amazing! It gets busy depending upon when you go, but never the less. It's always a great time. Got 2 glass pumpkins, donuts, pumpkins, apple butter, apple cider, apple fritters, mums and I can't think of what else, but I had a blast.

The little ones had a great time here. If your coming with a large group tokens can be pricey per activity. Otherwise we had a wonderful time!!

A really fun outing for families, especially those with small children. It was so much fun to pick apples in the u-pick orchards. They tell you which rows to pick from. They give you a bag that you can fill up as much as you want. There's a café with indoor and outdoor seating and a gift shop selling cider, apples, donuts and other treats. There are cats that they adopt that are roaming around. The hayride was fun to do. It makes you feel like you are stepping back in time. Overall this is a great place to visit. It was very busy the day I visited.

This place doesn't take too long to drive too. There are definitely a lot of activities for the kids. Plus, the shop is full of knick nacks, honey, and their amazing donuts. You must stop by the restaurant and eat because the food is great.

Really awesome place! Would totally recommend.Just wish the trees were a bit more mature/with more fruit, but maybe we just visited on a bad year. Management was able to reimburse us with some already-picked apples though 👍The Flying Monkey Cafe gives more of a truck stop vibe, but the staff was extremely nice and the rest of the place was cute 🍎

Free admission. Cute little place. You can feed goats for $.25c. Go inside the store, it’s really nice and they sell fresh apple donuts and apple cider. Highly recommend! The apple cider slush is so yummy too! I’ll definitely be back! :)

Very Nice place, but way to crowed, very extremely long lines, we enjoyed walking around, but next time think we will go earlier, loved walking through the orchard and looking at various pumpkins and mums, very pretty.

First time visiting. It was VERY busy. No admission fee to enter unless you opt to pick your own pumpkins and apples. Several fun things for our granddaughter to do. She especially enjoyed the big slide, and the pony ride. It only went in a small circle but she liked the experience. Didn't eat anything there so I cant comment on that. We got a couple nice pumpkins which were reasonably priced. We will definately return and have an adult day to be able to experience other activities not easily enjoyed with a little one in tow. I recommend a visit there if you've never gone.

The price of the produce in their computer system is much higher than the price they marked. Tomato marks $2.99 per pound but you actually pays $2.99 each! Same issue with the onion. We question the price when we pay for them. Just got an answer of “it’s $3 each” even if we showed them that their marked price is “$2.99 per pound”. Cashiers seems to know their system has a price difference already from the conversation, but neither the manager nor the cashier come with a reliable solution. They say they can refund the money and we can pay it again, but they also says they don’t know how to fix their system. They didn’t have any other solution other than having us wait there to have their system fixed. Don’t want to wait there so we didn’t ask for a refund. It seems like many people purchase the tomato and onion with a higher price than the marked price and without knowing it. Anyway it’s a disappointing experience at Curtis ORchard.

I have enjoyed going to Curtis Orchard since i was a little kid. It is still largely as i remember it being. They have outdoor activities that are the most fun for little kids, and i enjoy their theme of MGM's The Wizard of Oz. Perhaps the reason to go, however, is for the doughnuts and apple cider they sell that they make from scratch. You will find few sweet treats in central Illinois that are more tasty! One thing that i will say is that when we went in 2020, they seemed way busier than i remember them being in the past. Maybe it's because we went near peak season or on a weekend, but just keep in mind that you want to get there early— both early in the season and early in the day to avoid the crowds. My one criticism of them i think has more to do with me than with them. Nonetheless, i found the items sold in the store (that weren't edible) to be the usual tourist merch, which i don't remember it being that way when we came when i was a little kid. Perhaps age makes the magic fade.

Such a beautiful place for family, friends and children to go hangout. There’s trails of apple trees and pumpkins to pick from. It costs about $7-8 to go pick apples FYI. The place also have a big play area in the back with pony rides, bounce house, slides, etc. Their cold apple cider and apple donuts are to die for🤤100% recommend

Love this place. We were looking forward to it opening. But when it did, not all the activities were open. It was a little disappointing. Ill wait till October to go. I know it will be great then.

As a local, I enjoy going during the week to pet the cats, buy some donuts, and let my kid play on the playground. The weekends are an overwhelming, highly crowded, and chaotic experience that I suggest avoiding. Perhaps they should start charging weekend entrance fees and make the kids activities free to help control the crowd and allow people to actually have a decent experience. The prices on kids activities keep going up while the quality and enjoyment continue to go down. The mini-golf course is so sad and needs major TLC! Food prices have also gotten ridiculous, inflation only accounts for a 15% increase in the last 2 years, not 40%+. A bowl of chili with 2 small sides and a drink used to be $8, and now it's $14. The kids meals are now $7 and my kid was served a black and crispy hot dog, and mushy & cold mac and cheese.I understand issues of inflation and staffing persist. But that's where reevaluating your business model could come in handy. Figure out what works and what doesn't. Focus on quality over quantity.

Lovely lovely place! Be aware, the lines are super long on the weekends (20 minute wait for the little shop) but the apple fritter and cider donuts make it worth it.

A really fun outing for families, especially those with small children. Groves with many varieties of apple trees are the main attraction, supplemented by a Munchkinland playground, pony rides, goats and chickens. There's a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating and a shop selling cider and other treats. COVID protocols are enforced.

Been coming here since I was a kid and it’s become an annual treat to visit. Make sure you stop by the cafe for some apple donuts and hit apple cider. If you’re visiting in the fall, definitely visit the pumpkin patch and u-pick apples for the full experience 🍎🍏🎃

It’s been nearly 20 years since my last visit back to the home I was raised. So much growth that still leaves space to connect with the earth and humans that treat it with the respect it deserves. A celebration of fall and all the bounty it brings.

Lots of fun activities for the family, and amazing donuts. Apple and pumpkin picking are main activities, but many other things to do as well. Restaurant is pretty good with mainly standard American fare. Fun gift shop. Pony rides, giant bouncy pumpkin, corn maze, mini golf, and kids play area are activities for the kids. Expect to spend as much as a carnival.

Neat store and orchard. There is no steps to enter and a paved path to the store. There's wheelchair parking near the door. There's hills in the area and unpaved paths that might make wheelchair navigation difficult. But overall if you are in a wheel chair and can navigate grass/gravel, it could work and I would highly recommend.
