We had the best experience with CATsNAP. The application process is very detailed and thorough. Freda was great to work with. We knew we wanted to adopt two kitties and we wanted a pair that were bonded or were going to be okay living in the same house. We told her what we were looking for and she knew right where to find them. They have been such great additions to our house. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new cat addition to their family.

We got our beautiful baby girl, Cora, here! She is such a joy to have in our household. Everyone we dealt with during the adoption process was wonderful and had all the cats' best interests in mind. 😻

My husband and I adopted Calvin and Hobbes in September and have loved these lil gooofs since. We had a wonderful experience with CATSNAP and recommended it to many of our friends. These cats are our babies and we love them with our whole hearts.

I was very disappointed in CatSnap. I had worked with them to try and find a home for one of my cats that did not adjust well to our children being born. I ended up finding a home for that cat myself. We had planned on adopting in Dec/Jan (which we had discussed with CatSnap prior to finding a home for our other cat). I reached out in advance to make sure my application was approved and it was approved on 11/1/23. When I reached out in December to adopt, I was told to look elsewhere as they did not know if their cats would do well with my young children.CatSnap was hosting adoption events and I had tried to sign up to bring my family and see if any of their cats meshed well with our family. I initially received an email with a link to sign up for a time and then a few minutes later was sent a second email that my application was denied (even though it was approved in November). I responded back and asked why my application was denied in January when it had been approved in November and there was no response. It was very disappointing after all I had been told by Catsnap previously. I know they do care about their cats, but I wish they had been honest with me.

CATsNAP staff were fantastic during our adoption process for our newest kittens <3 They provided us with all the medical information, gave us some samples of kitten-food to get us started, and went above and beyond giving us tips for how to care for our little ones. I am so grateful for all of their hard work, and highly encourage anyone looking to adopt a cat to consider setting up an appointment with CATsNAP!

I didn't go into the shelter with any expectations. It was the best decision, because I let these two choose me on their own. I adopted them Sept 6th and I feel like they were meant to be.

We ❤️ our new family member, (Raven) LuciFur. Thank you, 🐈 Snap! The volunteer was very nice and made us comfortable with the process. This is our second adoption from Catsnap. I wish we could take all the 🐈s home!

Catsnap's lovely team has been wonderful to work with! They showed me great love and kindness in a decision that was hard to make but the best for the kitties in my care and my family. ❤️ They really care for the kitties and making sure they end up in the right place ❤️

We adopted from catsnap almost a year ago and we couldn't have asked for a better fuzzy addition to our family. We had a special situation where our resident cat had been through a traumatic experience with a very aggressive cat, so we needed their guidance to recommend one of their cats who would be likely to get along with her. They gave us a few options they thought might be a good fit, and we ended up adopting one who fills that missing piece perfectly.Since then, I've started volunteering with catsnap and it's unbelievable how many cats they help with so few volunteers. They do the best they can with the limited help they have as far as customer service goes, but the best interest of the cats always comes first. I highly recommend you support them in saving lives by adopting from them, donating, fostering, or volunteering your time so they can save more cats.

I am now fostering a cat for this great rescue. When I was there I saw a bunch of volunteers doing their best to keep a lot of cats healthy and to find them homes. Some people seem to think that adopting or fostering a cat should be like a trip to the store, and that's ridiculous. We did not get an instant reply, and it took a couple of emails to set up a visit, and that's totally understandable and expected. I also appreciate their stance on declawing and how careful they were on keeping the cats healthy and happy. I felt the number 1 priority there were the cats, not people (Deb and the other volunteers were absolutely amazing, so its not because of any negative event, they just love cats so much), and quite honestly that's how an animal rescue should be. Please adopt or foster, don't buy!

Update: I no longer stand by the entirety of this review. I love the cats at catsnap and the volunteers are wonderful; however, leadership is a shame and gaslights out volunteers who share serious concerns.______________I’m a volunteer for Catsnap since 2021 and can speak from services on the inside. Some reviews mention poor communication and the layout of the building. I will say some people can definitely improve on their communication skills, but everyone just cares so deeply for the cats. Some may come off as confrontational or rude, but please don’t let this taint the work of all the volunteers and cats. We spend so much time nursing them back to health and teaching them the love humans can give, so someone who is going to let their cat outside or who isn’t financially, mentally, or physically able to take care of a cat might get turned away. Our building consists of several different rooms and only one has a window. However, they’re all well lit, have clean blankets, food, water, cat trees, plenty of toys, clean litter boxes at least 2x a day, strategic placing of food/water and litter boxes for more shy cats, room to roam, and everything else a cat would need or want. They’re off the streets, have controlled temperature rooms, and are cared for several times a day. Cats are put in cages only for very specific reasons and for as short a time as possible. We even move cats around so that they’re as least stressed as possible and have a team of medically trained volunteers to care specially for the sick kitties. We are all 100% volunteers with 1 paid position for help with building maintenance. You can know that cats here are cared for just as well if not much better than all the other shelters in the area and beyond. I love Catsnap. We are actively working on spreading out roles to better assist the community.

I am very surprised to see negative comments about this cat charity... We adopted three of our four cats from them and had a great experience. Our boys Jefferson and Franklin were cruelly thrown into a garbage bin when they were kittens and CATsNAP saved them and found a loving home for them. Please do not post angry messages just because you could not the cat you wanted - there is a more important mission here to save lives...

This was a real roller coaster of an experience.Pros: easy to browse available cats, easy to apply, prompt response from an adoption specialist. I spoke with Debby, she was great. Answered my questions, had some great ideas for introducing new pets, very respectful and friendly.Cons: Debby was not cleared to make final adoption decisions (she was upfront about that during our talk). So, a person I had never met, or spoke with declined my application because I have a toddler and she did not believe me when I said I was not going to declaw. They don’t seem highly motivated to get their animals into loving homes. It’s clear they are passionate about a very narrow agenda. While I respect that it comes from a good place, I think ultimately they need to decide if the are a rescue or a boutique. I would also recommend that they be transparent on their website about the types of homes the plan to approve. If you don’t think kittens are best fitted to certain homes, say so plainly and save everyone the time.

We adopted Stitch and Angel in late 2021 from Catsnap. We had such a positive experience that when we saw Pudge (formerly Snickerdoodle) on their adoption page last month, we didn't even hesitate to reach out. We received a timely response after each application. They provided all the the cats' medical information up to adoption day, as well as some kitten food to help transition them over to our home supply. Alison even checked in on us after the adoption to make sure all was well. A+!!

I submitted an application for two kittens I was interest in on 02/01/22. The following day I received a response that not all my current pets' paperwork was received. So I made sure to attach any additional documents that came with her at the time of adoption. That aside, about five days later, I get an email from a 'Deb' stating that one of the kittens I applied for has been adopted. I reply to her message asking if the other kitten I had applied for was still available. Everyday up until today I sent an email inquiring about that kitten. Thank god for social media bc if it weren't for FB, I'd never find out that second kittens was adopted. Not only do they not have a way to allow people to get in contact with them by phone, but they obviously find it more important to advertise their pets with their new families. I understand their main goal is to find good homes for these cats, but if you have people that are inquiring everyday, how are you just going to ignore all these other applicants?! At least have the decency to respond to emails since that's the only source of communication you provide. Good luck to future applicants.

One of these days I’ll adopt from here, I swear! Just have to convince my hubby we need another cat! But I have gotten 2 of our cats neutered through them and the process and price were great, my boots may not agree however lol

I just adopted a sweet little cat from CatSnap today. I put in my application on a Tuesday and was approved and confirmed for the meeting on Wednesday. Very quick responses and very nice staff! I appreciate what they do for these animals and how they make finding a companion easy! They are clearly doing the best they can during this pandemic and they want what’s best for the cats. Would recommend!

I tried to adopt a cute calico kitten from this place. I live 4 hours away and was willing to make the drive for the kitten. I calico of 19yrs. Passed away in July. After their review from my vet I had missed 1 vaccination shot over 10 yrs. Ago for my cat, their for they wouldnt let me adopted, wow really 1 shot ? Guess they over look the fact I spent $400 in 1 month to try to save my 19yrs. Old cat and the fact she lived 19yrs. Under my care. This place expects you to b perefect I guess

I’m a fostering mom for catsnap. The volunteers here really care about the cats and they always try their best to find forever homes for cats.I have fostered two cats from them now. They respond quickly and make sure all the kitties are in good health while being there and before adoption.

The process is super weird. Really ruined my motivation to adopt a cat. As we need to figure out if the personality of the cat fits ours, we planned to see the cat first and then decide. That sounds a good plan, no? So today we were caught in the dark when we were told we need to take cat home right away if we want him, or we have to go to adopt somewhere else. As we did not bring a carrier with us, (because this is really supposed to be a meet and greet), we offer to buy a carrier in 20mins and come back (as our appointment is 3:00 to 3:30, and when we offered this options, it’s only 3:05) but we were told an absolute no as she said no one would be here in this building anymore. We were also told we cannot pick him up another day or even later the same day. Seriously, no one will come back to the facility ever just to take care of the cat?? So we can not just pick him up then? Also the volunteer who works there today keep emphasizing her responsibility is only to be there to send this cat off. We won’t take her more than the planned 30mins to buy a carrier and come back. And we offered ways might help solve the situation. We are so confused and just felt she doesn’t want us to have the cat.We were confused and hurt. We just want to be a responsible family to find the best fit for the cat we take home.

A little confusing on communication skills. Went to visit a kitten I was interested in adopting & found out the kitten wasn't even there. It was fostered & adopted.

These people will not listen. They act like instead of adopting a pet, you're in a raffle to watch an alien autopsy. I wouldn't try to adopt a rock from these people. I recommend you go elsewhere!!!

So I've never had a cat before and they ask a question about will or will not declaw and I never would harm a animal but I thought I entered NO declawing. Anyway I was met with a rude email about how I'm inhumane, legit rudest email I've ever gotten trying to do somthing nice for my kids. I felt like it was highschool that email was so not professional or even understandable. But I hope anyone els has a grate experience and saves the life of an animal.

Very clean facility. The staff was very helpful and patient. We spent some time with two cats but need to go back for a final decision.

I believe CATsNAP should post their "no declaw" policy on their website, rather than baiting people by asking the question "Will you declaw?" then denying the application if they say yes. I received a rude, condescending email telling me that declawing is mutilation with a link for me to follow for "more information". I wish they would have just been upfront about this policy instead of me and my daughters getting our hopes up about finding the perfect kitty on their website.
