I recently visited Barn Owl Garden Center, and I can't express enough how fantastic my experience was! The staff here is an absolute dream, especially when it comes to selecting indoor plants.From the moment I walked in, they were like my own personal plant concierge, guiding me through the lush greenery and helping me choose the perfect indoor plants for my space. Their knowledge and enthusiasm were infectious, making the entire process not just easy but genuinely enjoyable.The variety of plants was impressive, and the staff's recommendations were spot-on. They took the time to understand my preferences and offered valuable insights on care and placement.The positive vibes in the store, coupled with the staff's expertise, turned what could have been a routine plant shopping trip into a delightful experience. Kudos to the team at Barn Owl Garden Center! I'll definitely be back for all my green needs.

We visited the Barn Owl Garden Center this December for the first time. You can see all of their Christmas decor from the road, so we had to check it out.We were pleasantly surprised! They have tons of cute Christmas items and also offered us some complimentary, delicious, hot apple cider to drink while we shopped. We purchased a wreath for our door. The staff was all really kind and helpful and we felt great vibes overall.Items are a bit expensive, but they seem to be quality and it felt nice to buy locally. We will definitely be back 😊

This place is amazing. We have never had a less-than extraordinary experience here. They are attentive with incredible products and great advice for any level of gardener. The staff (and the family that owns this local business) are the best. We never hesitate to recommend this place. So much better than any other local place and don’t even think about the big box stores. Loyal to Barn Owl.

Barn Owl is one of the gardening center gems in our area. The owners and staff are great! The offer a wide variety of not only seasonal plants, but a great selection of unique items. Attended my first "make a centerpiece" class last winter and look forward to the next!The new and improved Market at Barn Owl is a delightful experience.

My favorite place to get bird seed for my feeders. They carry some of the best seed possible - my favorite being the "no waste" variety. They have some of the best plants I've ever seen so I know they are great for those who love to garden and make a beautiful yard. Use them - they are very helpful.

This is such a cute garden center! They have various categories of plant and decor items, and even supplies for birds (such as food and houses). More (?) importantly, they have two cute dogs who accompany the employees as they do their work. The staff, by the way, could not be more gracious. We'll surely have to stop back over the summer to see what else they have in store during the planting season.

Havel enjoyed visiting the Barn Owl for many many years. Can find the "weird" plants that I was hunting for. Always good advice. Going there Thursday to check them out. Go see their awesome shop too! Nice and smart people working there.

The staff is always super friendly and helpful. They have a great variety of annual and perennials. The best assortment of birdseed and feeders anywhere around here. And inside, so many cute decorations for the house.

I really wanted to like this place. There was one gentleman who works there that was very helpful and knowledgeable but the rest were not. I found the plants to not be very well maintained and very overpriced. I am all for supporting a small business and I tried few more times but got a bad experiences each time. I found it hard to get knowledgeable recommendations. I also was overcharged for something last time I went and it was very much due to the lack of attention of the salesperson who did not seem to want to be there.

I shop here frequently for bird seed. The prices are always good and the quality of what I buy is very good. I’ve spent $170 on seed in the last month and the birds love it. I’m loyal to Barn Owl and am glad to be a customer.

Loved my experience at Barn Owl Garden Center! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Kelsey & team helped me pick the perfect plants to brighten up my place. Awesome succulents and other pretty arrangements. Great selection at reasonable prices. Also offering curbside at this time. I will definitely be back, would 100% recommend the stop. 🌱

We went to the Fall Fest today with our 2 grown children and 5 young granddaughters. We all thought it was very nice. They had 2 owls there and 2 people educating us about owls. Free clay pot painting for the kids and free hotdogs for all. A great free event.

Better selection tired of the others wandering around wasting time. This is the place to go. Staff will assist you quickly. Prices are reasonable. They have bird feeders bird food. Seeds for the ones that like to start from scratch. Everything is easily found. Great place I rather come here than go to The home depo. Try it you will like it. I did.

Clark helped me pick out plants for some shaded areas with heavy water; a year later and they are doing great. They have great dog food options, nothing you'll find in box stores- local companies better stuff for your pet.I definitely recommend them for any yard projects and great plant selection.

I used to love shopping here but I think it is under new management or something because the customer service is non-existent and staff is much less knowledgeable and you can tell they are much more focused on profits than the actual plants or customers. I went about a week ago and their pots were overpriced and the greenhouse for indoor plants and succulents had not been restocked in a while and most of the plants were on the brink of dying because of lack of water. I went again a few days ago and asked for a discount on a plant because part of it was dying. The cashier told me no and that he could just cut off the dying parts for me...just disappointed because this used to be my favorite local plant shop.

We had done work that required heavy machinery and my front and back lawn was destroyed.With the help of Clark and the rest of the Barn Owl Staff I have a gorgeous front and back lawn. We were able to do it ourselves with their guidance. No weeds in their seed!!!

Great place for a farmer's market, always delicious corn, melons and watermelons, I love to buy eggplants and bell peppers.But the only drawback is that you always need to check the goods that go by weight, almost always count more by 30-90 cents ...You need to check the weight and the receipt.

I love this place. I usually just go here to get propane refilled, but am always disappointed that I don't have a lawn because they have so much cool stuff and a great selection of plants. The staff is always pleasant and a talking parrot greets you when you walk inside.

We are regulars here for plants and birdfeed. We usually end up with some addition home decore items, planters or something. Folks are real friendly, and there are lots of unique items I would not know where else to get. Accessibility is decent, and there is parking right there. Recommended.

Great selection for all your outdoor needs. Flowers etc. They also carry a decent selection of pet & wild bird food. There are organic gardening & lawn care products as well. Watch out for the Parrot, his name is Joe & he bites (he's in a cage, just don't stick your fingers in there).

This is a hidden gem in Carol Stream for plants, birding, gardening needs and gifts. But it’s also awesome for firewood. Charles is awesome and has great advice and loaded the wood in my car on a bitter cold day. 👍👍
