DuAnn and Jill did an amazing job grooming our two yorkies, Hugo and Mira! They are both twelve and aren’t big fans of being groomed, and DuAnn and Jill were both so patient and compassionate with them. We’re able to stay each time to comfort Hugo and Mira through the process. We live an hour away but we will continue to come to the Pooch Parlor because everyone is so skilled and kind. Hugo and Mira look amazing as always and they leave tails wagging every time. Thank you DuAnn, Jill and the whole team, we appreciate you so much!

My dog, MacGyver, gets shaved once a year because he won't let anyone brush him. I adopted him 4 years ago and have tried everything! It was hard finding a groomer he would tolerate without having to be sedated. When his regular groomer moved away, I heard about Pooch Parlor and decided to give them a try. They were very gentle and patient with my old farm dog, and even though he's bad at sitting still, they gave him a nice shave with nice trim around his face and a puffball lion's tail! He's so happy now that he's got his summer haircut ❤️

I will never take my dog to this place, again. I was told it would take 2-3 hours to groom my golden retriever. I dropped her off at 8:30. I called at noon because I hadn't heard from anyone, yet. They said, "no, she won't be ready until 3 now, because she's sitting in the tub soaking." I showed up at 3:10 and they hadn't even started to trim her. She said she would be ready by 4. I got a text at 3:35 saying "she is ready." She cut my retriever in 20 minutes. Anyone that owns a retriever knows it takes A LOT longer than 20 minutes to cut a dog of this breed. My retrievers coat had scissor marks all over it. She cut her mane off, instead of "thinning" it, like I asked her to do, her feathers are gone, when I asked her to "trim" them. She looks horrible and this dog has a beautiful coat, normally. She is a "DoubleTake Golden", so anyone familiar with Danielle's dogs, is aware of how beautiful they are. She was there for 8 hours and the girls were laughing at the fact that my dog was all curled up in the back of the shop, because she was so scared.

My family has had our dogs groomed here for over 20 years. I trust them to take care of my dogs. They even let me stay and comfort my dog while they trim the dog's nails. I highly recomend Pooch Parlor. This is my Airedale, she got groomed today.

This was my first time taking my 6 year old Bernese Mountain Dog in to be groomed. He had some Mats in his fur I wasn’t able to deal with.They recommended a full shave which was very emotional for me. The support I received as well as the skillful hands and spirit of Kivia made all the difference for both Beorn and myself. What was very emotional turned into an incredibly supportive and beautiful experience. Thank you Kivia and thank you Pooch Parlor.I highly recommend this place

We brought both of our pups (Sophie, age 12, and Tucker, age 2-1/2) in for grooming on 4/11. Sophie is pretty mellow, but Tucker is always moving & won’t hold still! They had both gotten quite scruffy, and were badly in need of a bath. Jillian was ready to go and really did a great job in bathing them, and went above and beyond in trimming them as we requested. We were very happy with the results of both dogs We would highly recommend Jillian as a wonderful groomer!

I just had such a great experience at The Pooch Parlor with Kivia! My miniature dachshund and border collie / aussie mix are both pretty anxious at the groomer or the vet. I was able to stand at the grooming table to help comfort them which made a huge difference. Kivia had a very gentle and caring energy. She was knowledgeable, professional, and went above and beyond my expectations for the visit. I will be recommending their services to all my friends. Thanks Kivia!

5 mo ago I gave a 5 star review. I have been contemplating on this edit because I don't like ot be a complainer. I need to edit my original 5 star review. I went back to get my 2 small dogs nails trimmed around June and was charged $20 per dog. I had paid $10 per dog before. I don't like giving less than 5 star reviews but this really bothered me that they would just double the price on me AFTER my dogs nails were trimmed. I did ask why the double in price and was told because their rent went up. Was very hurt because I had been using them for a year. I found another place that charges the usual $8 per nail trim.

OH MY GOODNESS. I am blown away at the quality and care taken with my dogs. They came out looking and smelling incredible. One of my dogs is super shy and timid and they were so patient and careful with her. The other is a husky mix and sheds like crazy.. There wasn't a single hair of undercoat coming out of her and her fur was so soft and shiny. These girls took amazing care of my dogs and I'd recommend them to everybody.

We came in to get our Aussie's nails clipped in March, and she walked out with a makeover! Kivia doted on our old lady, and gave her the attention she desperately needed! We will be back!

They are great with my dog!! They do a fantastic job with her. I couldn't ask for more. I can tell they are genuine when it comes to the care of my dog. I am very comfortable and pleased with there services. My dog isn't stressed when its time to go. She is also getting to play with other dogs while there.

I highly recommend. Very friendly they treat your dog as its part of the family. If you have a dog who has allergies they have a special machine that is designed to help. I've been bringing my dog there for 3 weeks now. When I first brought her she had leathery skin because of allergies and swollen feet. Now since the baths she plays more and no more leathery skin she acts like a puppy again

Outstanding service and attention to detail for each dog and how the owner prefers them groomed. Good with suggestions on care between grooming too. My dog had been mauled by a neighbor's dog so grooming was delayed. When the groomers heard about the incident they took extra time to check on his condition and even provided a care package with treats!! They have heart and truly care!! A big thank you for you concern and the extra effort with dropping off a care package!!

The absolute worst grooming I have seen in 10 years. Also the most inexpensive. 45$. WOW. I'll never go back there.The owner has contacted me and she was very sympathetic and concerned. She addressed the issues with me and left me feeling much more comfortable. Kudos to her.

I have had quite a few groomers because I traveled for work. Pooch parlor is just like family. They go above and beyond. Recently lost my precious yorkie and they had so much compassion. I will and do recommend them to others. My babies are comfortable there and not afraid. Take your pet to them

Pooch Parlor in Ponderay is excellent! My kitty, Sassy had terrible matting that was making it uncomfortable for her to even walk. She was getting depressed, not her usual lively self, and was just nibbling at her food. Every other groomer I contacted wanted to a use anesthesia to put Sassy under for grooming. To my relief, DuAnn agreed to work on her without anesthesia. DuAnn was so patient and loving she allowed me to stay and hold Sassy while she work on grooming out those nasty mats. It took upwards of an hour and a half of starting and stopping to give Sassy a break and get used to the idea of us using the shaving tool on her. DuAnn warned me that there could be some skin irritation and potentially scabbing....but none occurred. The end result was beautiful. Sassy looks like a little lion. Best of all Sassy is running and jumping, climbing trees and back to eating..even asking for seconds, now that she is burning up so many calories. I would have been the last person to believe that just grooming your pet could have such an impact on their health.....but I am a believer now....and I believe in the ability and love that DuAnn and her staff at Pooch Parlor possess. ~Namaste Diana

Duann went above and beyond to help me with my dog that has allergies. I would recommend them to anyone who has a dog. Especially if you have a dog who is like family they treat them like family members there too. They have great products and customer service

Wow..what a great job they did on Teddy. They took their time and cared for him over and above the call of duty! Best grooming job my dog has ever gotten, he is a pomeranian mix and rarely do groomers do anything to his tail and the groomer trimmed it up so nice, I was very impressed with the them in general!

DuAnn, the owner, should also be commended for the pet groomer training program that she runs. She is an experienced teacher who trains and supervises a diverse group of volunteers and trainees, who arrive with differing levels of motivation and personal responsibility. She is a patient teacher and compassionate mentor. Our daughter graduated from DuAnn's program. We respect DuAnn's willingness to attempt to bring out the best in her trainees, helping them to be personally fulfilled, contributing members of the community.
