Out of towners here, not sure what happened. We had our dogs stay with them for 8 days. The owner said they feed the same dog food as we do so we didn't have to bring any and that they would feed them. When I picked up my dogs they both looked starved. My one dog has ribs and back bone showing as pictured. My other lost weight as well but does not look as bad as my other. My dogs scarfed their food and water down and then proceeded to throw up throughout the night.My dogs also act like they have been ABUSED. They cower and run when my husband and I raise our voice a little to talk to one another if we are across the room from each other. They also cower if we try to pet them on the head (especially while they are feeding)I am not sure what happened but I WILL NOT ever bring my dogs here again. I recommend others to do the same. I feel terrible for leaving my animals here.

Every time I pull into The Dog Spot, my dogs get crazy excited. For all those people concerned over their dogs not being fed enough, dogs that go to a new environment often have a reduction in appetite. It's stress of the new environment not abuse.

First of all we do not recommend owners stay with their pets while grooming as it detracts their attention and makes it harder on the groomer same as the vet says wait in the lobby or trainers says leave them here and pick up later

So it’s kind of my fault for not checking previous reviews before scheduling an appt. But first of all, the low star reviews show a lot of reasons not to bring your fur babies here. I read them after scheduling because I was getting some “off” vibes. Anyways, my dog has bad separation anxiety, so I called ahead and asked if I could be in there with him (was gonna do it anyways because of the reviews I read). The groomer basically said she wasn’t sure if me being in the room would work, I explained he has his anxiety issues. Paraphrasing of course but she said “dogs usually act out if their owners are here.” (I think the only reason she’d say something like this is if the bad reviews online were to be true).The reviews basically describe neglect/abuse towards the dogs, and how the owners will never go back.PS- this is my experience with this company, I was only drawn in because of the low prices. PLEASE don’t give these people the time of day.August 11th, 2023.

I normally come here because the price is so affordable, but during our Last visit, I’m not sure what happened. We came here to board our doggies for our wedding weekend. I filled 2 bags of dog food for both of my dogs, 2 cups per morning, 2 cups per night, I even equaled the bag out to what they would need for 3 days 2 nights with instructions on their feeding situation. When we came back 2 days later, the bags looked like they were not touched at all. Still FULL. I have a feeling our dogs were not fed during their stay at The Dog Spot.Now, I’m not sure if there was miscommunication with everyone working there, but they were seriously so hungry, when we finally got back home (Boise) we fed them 4 cups each and they scuffed it down like no tomorrow.My dogs also seemed like they haven’t gotten water because when we arrived and he brought our dogs out, usually they’re so happy to see us but they were only wanting to drink the bucket of water they had set aside. On the ride home my dogs were panting like I’ve never seen before And when we got home they almost drank all of their water.Not so sure I’ll be bringing my dogs back to this establishment, the owners are super nice but I’m not so sure they need to be running this business any longer.

The owner shows genuine compassion and love for the dogs he cares for. We wouldn't take our fur baby ANY place else! He's also the cheapest I've come across, when asked why, his response was "Its not about the money, they have fun here". He offers day care, which my dog adores! For $10/day! You can't beat that for a happy, relaxed, loved on dog!We highly recommend Denny and his Dog Spot!

Wouldn't even give them one star if didn't have to give a star they are not worth it. I took my dog there for the first time she hasn't been her self since. I asked them to trim everything but looks like they only trimmed her face. She hasn't even been eating since bringing her home from there. I basically paid 35.00 for nothing. I won't be taking her back there.. I may end up having to take her to the vet cause it looks like they may have cut her tail if so I'll be filing a claim on them. I wish I never took her there. I think I should be able to get a refund for the grooming cause it definitely wasn't worth the money. I feel real bad I took her there not only did they hurt her but they did something else to make her anxiety triple from what it already was. Very upset and disappointed 🤬😠👎👎👎👎

I boarded my dog here for the weekend. They took amazing care of my pup. He came back washed and smelling amazing. Had amazing prices and very friendly. Highly recommend as I will be taking my dog back.

We took our 11 mo and 5 month old olde English bulldogs here last Saturday. When we got them home on Sunday, they immediately had to go to the bathroom like they hadn’t been out in a very long time, then our 11 month old stood and drank water for at least 5 minutes straight. Next we pulled out the blankets we sent them with, both were drenched in urine. The two bones we sent them with had to be thrown away as they smelled of urine also. When We gave them a bath, they were filthy, and I discovered 6 welts on our oldest dogs back. We sent them with just enough food for their stay, but they came back with a meal left. Finally, both dogs have had excessive diarrhea since they have been home. We feel like awful dog owners for keeping them there and would warn everyone against sending their dogs to this facility.

The dog spot is the best of the best. The people are amazing and dedicated to each and every dog. Anytime you call during your dog's stay they have little stories to tell about your dog and their interaction with the other dogs there. They don't just house the dogs, they know the dogs. They spend time playing with the dogs and enjoying their antics. The cost is fantastic and they offer in house grooming so after your time away you can pick up a sparkly, smiley, exhausted dog. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else.

This place is just what a dog sitting place needs to be. A yard with lots of dogs, dirt, grass, shade, and people who may just be a bit better with dogs than they are with people. Affordable as well. We have boarded our dog here several times for a week or 10 days when we go on vacation.

I would highly recommend seeking boarding elsewhere. I had high hopes for this place, based on previous reviews. They do not accept card and so it was a large inconvenience and had to run to a gas station to get cash. I have a medium size Australian Cattle Dog and when we dropped her off she was red, I picked her up brown and filthy. My car is now covered in dust and I had to stop by wags on the way home to wash her. The facilities appear run down and you can spot holes in the fences in the road. If you have small dogs be mindful of this. Also I never received a receipt or had to sign anything verifying that I was checking her out. No one checked my identification and the female employee who accepted my payment could not even tell me anything about how her stay was or how she did. I will be taking her to Camp Bow Wow in Boise the next time we need boarding services and will advise my friends and coworkers to do the same.

Always there for my furry babies. The owner actually works there and loves all the dogs. The dogs have a great time but they will get quite dirty due to the lack of grass.

This place looks horrible! I would never take my dog here. I wanted to see what it looked like and couldn't believe how nasty and uncleaned it looks. For something that has 4.4 stars I was expecting something wayyyy more clean
