Apparently you can't bring in a dirty dog in need of a bath and grooming to the Eagle/Federal Way locations in Boise. I imagine if you have a small indoor dog, this is the place to go but if you have a larger dog that requires regular grooming that has a challenging coat you need to find a different groomer.(Do not use Annette) Terrible customer service and just plain lazy. After coming in monthly, we earned a free bath/groom and upon arriving at our appointment, we were turned away even though we were going by their recommendation to bring her in every four weeks. This is after asking our groomer if we needed to bring her in more often. Never had a problem until we worked our way up to a free bath/groom. Annette wanted to shave our dog in the middle of January plus you DO NOT shave a mountain breed. Horrible experience. Very unprofessional. Doesn't even deserve one star. We found another groomer who was willing to do our dog. Wanted to make an appointment with Petco to use our free groom and found they had blocked us. So they DO NOT honor the free bath. Will never use again

I went in there for some bloodworms for my shrimp then saw some cute glass catfish that would look amazing with my tank! I sat there for 10 minutes starting at the glass then proceeded to the front to ask for someone to help me. Another 10 minutes passed and I had to leave since I had other plans after getting the food. The cashier saw I had no fish to purchase and said nothing about it. I told them that I hope to come back to buy some fish next time and they continued to not ask why. I would not recommend this Petco until they revaluate their staff.

The most unprofessional Groomer, I have yet to encounter. The employees here bash each other, and tell customers of investigations and employees about to be fired. Salon managers tell customers of groomers poor time management skills. Employees do not communicate and waste customers time and groomers are not adequate to groom. I was specifically told that’s the reason that they are cheaper than other groomers and this employee assumed my private groomer causes harm to my dog during grooming. Definitely avoid this place.

Store was relatively clean. Found a puddle of fluids, most likely pee, that a pet parent did not clean. Not holding against the store, accidents happen. Regular food was moved to a new aisle, which was not difficult to find, but I wish a sign said this brand moved to aisle X.Easy to get in and out of, especially when buying more toys for the pups.

I tried to take my dog here for a bath. She wasn't allowed to get one due to not having her shot records. We tried to explain that she is a rescue dog but we were quickly shot down. The employee who informed us of this was very rude.

The website and in store offers drop in nail trimming, no appointment needed. I went into the Eagle/ Meridian location today with my small dog at around 1:00 and was told they could not do it as they were just way to busy and that I should have made an appointment. I realize you get busy but if that is going to he the case then either have a staff person that just does this on those busy days or do not offer walk ins. I was disappointed that I got turned away on a walk in service. If I were you, I would review your policy. Needless to say. I went to Petsmart and they did it for me and they were probably just as busy.

Wouldn't sell me a basic feeder goldfish because it "wouldn't be happy" in our 5 gallon tank with another goldfish. Got a five minute lecture from and "aquatic specialist" and when I laughed and said you're worried about the happiness of a fish that is bought to be fed to eels, she refused to bag and sell me any fish. Dirty store, control freak employees.

Visited this location today to buy dog food. Before checking out I went by the saltwater aquariums to see what fish were in stock. In one column of tanks I counted 8 dead fish and the others were struggling. I’m sure ammonia was way too high. I found a Petco associate and told them about the dead fish. The response floored me, “ Yes, I know. We’ve been having challenges with the pump.” I can’t believe they knew about it and weren’t doing anything about it. The fish were suffocating. When you know they are suffocating and you don’t do anything about it, it’s abuse!! I put the dog food back on the shelf, and went to the PetSmart down the street. Will never shop at Petco again.

Shoutout Lori being the only one that wants to actually work at this store. She was the only one at the register with a 10 person line and they had atleast 4 associates tucked in the office handling an “aquatic issue”. Another customer had to actually knock on the door to get help from someone else lol. Not a good look

Overall, it was a great experience except that I went in for feeder guppies and there were none. I did leave with the water conditioner and a few other fish though. With staff that helped me were very helpful and kind.

Sold my 10 year old an outdated fishtank literally that discontinued selling the light bulbs that go to it within 2 months of buying it... no warning... thought that was a pretty cruddy thing to do to a child .. now I may have to find a brand new lid after he spent a ton of money on this recently ... lucky I'm giving 2 stars ... I do that for the pets... not the service... and this generic response from the owner literally does nothing but kick sand in our face... thanks for not offering to fix the issue...your response tells me a lot... couldn't be bothered to make it right... smh...

My sister took the family dog there to get a full grooming..... he went from a normal dog to Rizzo the rat from the muppets. Do not go here for grooming! It was a hack job. The first one is before the rest are after.

Their saltwater tanks are gross. Fish gasping for air and dead fish everywhere. Do some water changes please, it’s sad.

I took my cat Loki to be groomed. His Groomer, Beverly explained to be before hand everything she was going to do. This put me at ease. She was seeing Loki for the first time, so I loved the way she gained his trust, before handling him. She also did an excellent job in grooming him. I will be taking Loki back. His hair was much softer, and he showed no stress at all when he got home 😁

Every time we go to this Petco location we always get the best care and customer service no matter what we are looking for and the grooming staff is always friendly and very loving towards each fur pet they see. The staff and service for pets to be seen for vaccinations and care is incredible they always make sure that the pets are feeling comfortable and at ease and are communicating with pet parents about everything from care they provide to cost of each thing that’s provided and they make sure to explain things if your not really sure of what the specifics are on certain things as far as vaccinations details or what to expect from flea and tick prevention stuff they will explain what it covers and what it does to protect your fur kiddo.

I love coming to a pet store just to look at all the animals here and buy pet supplies some time. This petco location is a little bit small. There are only two check out stations, however the staffs here are very friendly and helpful. Good place to get your pet supplies and window shoping. I only buy it here when I can't wait to get my pet supplies from the online store.

I bought a harness for my dog online but had to return it because it was too big. I was so happy that the return policy is so easy at Petco. I just brought up the order on my phone and the clerk took care of everything including helping find a replacement. The only thing that could have made it better was if you had as good of a selection in store as on line.

First time visiting this petco and Lori assisted us at the register. My mom had asked her a question and she answered with attitude. She then was throwing the items in the bag when she was bagging them. Then she was slamming things on the counter when my mom was paying.
