Wonderful environment for boarding cats and grooming. We took our cat there for a groom and we also got a tour of the facility. The cats staying there all seemed non-stressed and happy. The facility was well maintained, cleaned, and welcoming. Timber looked amazing after his groom and we got photos for updates while we waited for him to be done. He seemed right at home and loved watching the birds outside the window. Highly recommend! What a great business to have in our town. The last two photos are before his groom

Julie is amazing. Our long haired, hard to catch, super sweet cat...Mango, needed to be groomed. I'm highly allergic to cats so it is very important for her to be groomed. Up until we met Julie 2 years ago having Mango groomed was an ordeal. Julie removes mats, knots, and bathe her without sedation. ♥️ Mango came home happy; not drugged.Mango is naked now but from now on Mango will be groomed regularly and will no longer require a complete shaving under sedation. Can't say how excited we are to have found a spot in Julie's regular schedule.

Our cat Iris stayed there for 21 days and the price was very affordable. We felt very comfortable and assured that Iris was in a great place and in good hands. We were able to go on our vacation with no worries. Our cat was probably having great vacation also. And we sure she herself also was having a vacation. I’m so glad we have a place like The Catnip Getaway! We will definitely do it again!

The Catnip Getaway is awesome! Julie was very sweet and her set up is clean and cute. There's windows for every cat in every a-paw-rtment, as well as a TV for the kitties to watch birds! Very reasonably priced, especially since I got some very nice pictures of my little guy. She also let me know my kitty is a brown-ticked tabby, which I didn't know! Will definitely be going back the next time I have to leave town!

This place deserves all the stars you can give! Extremely clean, well taken care of and just beautiful! The kitty suits are large, clean and even have a view of a bird feeder. She took excellent care of our elderly cat who severely needed a good grooming. She was very patient, kind and groomed our kitty - all med free (never thought that would be possible!). Our sweet kitty received a full groom and a lion cut at an affordable rate and our kitty looks so great! Very thankful for this local business! 🙌 Highly recommend!!! We will be back again soon!

Julie is amazing! My girl Bala has stayed twice, the first time she was a little nervous and quickly settled in. The second time she seemed comfortable immediately. She had been boarded at another facility in the past and it was very traumatic, she didn’t eat and lost weight. When she goes to Auntie Julie’s she eats well and doesn’t lose weight. That tells me all I need to know. This time, she was groomed and came home looking great.

So grateful to Julie for creating this fabulous car getaway! I was completely at ease while traveling that Nala was getting great care and attention. Her rates are reasonable and everything was clean, secure and comfortable- and Julie took time to let Nala out to play and roam in the larger space which made her very happy. I highly recommend using Julie’s excellent facility and services! She’s definitely a cat lover!

I was uneasy boarding my girls Peeka and Boo until I found the Catnip Getaway. It's a nice clean environment with no dogs. I received regular updates and photos. I highly recommend this business.

The Catnip Getaway is unlike any grooming facility I have ever seen. The owner obviously loves cats, and she is amazing with her ability to groom them without having to use anesthesia. 5 stars is not enough. I highly recommend them.

My cat can be very temperamental and sassy but she was at ease for her grooming at The Catnip Getaway! She’s 10 and had NEVER been to the groomer. I opted to stay for the visit in case my cat was too much to handle but she allowed Julie to do what she needed to get her clean and deshedded. My cat smells great, and looks great too! Overall 11/10 experience and Izzy will be back regularly for grooming!

We boarded our two long haired kitties with Julie for a month, while we visited our newest granddaughter. Both of our kitties are long haired, and unfortunately, both of them were in dire need of a grooming miracle! Julie was amazing when we dropped our girls off, one of our cats is super friendly, the other one has the tendency to be “slightly brisk” or grouchy, and Julie didn’t even bat an eye, and both kitties seemed to know she was an expert, and a safe person! Julie’s facilities are top notch, and the kitty rooms are large, clean, and inviting! During our travels, Julie kept us updated on our kitties, and when one needed some medical attention from a potential urinary infection, from debris stuck to her backside, (another reason to have a professional groom your cat) and Julie was right on top of the entire process! Thank you Julie! When we picked our girls up, they both looked amazing, and I cannot believe how beautiful their coats look. Our older kitty’s fur is so soft and cuddly, she feels brand new! Our other kitty was the happiest I have ever seen her, although she was vocal about not wanted to necessarily leave this amazing kitty vacation spa! We are forever patrons of The Catnip Getaway, and our kitties are planning their next vacation in a few months. Thanks again Julie!

We are so grateful to Julie for the amazing care she took of our Roxy who stayed at the Catnip Getaway for 10 days while we were away. Roxy was given lots of attention and was very calm and relaxed when we returned. We highly recommend the Catnip Getaway for a unique cat boarding option unlike any other in North Idaho!

We travel a lot and need a safe place for our fur baby, Buddy. He LOVES Julie and The Catnip Getaway! It's his home away from home! On one stay, Buddy had a "de-furring" spa treatment, and we were AMAZED at how much fur came off of our short-haired kitty!! Now, no more puking hairballs!! Thank you, Julie and The Catnip Getaway! If I could, I would give a hundred stars! They took exceptional care of my mom's cats, and for a longer duration than anticipated. The facility is stunningly beautiful and impeccably clean. It's evident that the cats received lots of affection and attention during their stay. When we need boarding services in the future, we wouldn't consider any other place.
