Hands down, my favorite bookstore. Wonderfully whimsical shop with a carefully curated selection of new and used books, great prices and extensive selection. Knowledgeable staff and great atmosphere, plus an inspiring indoor plant collection! I make a point of visiting this shop every summer on the way to my grandma’s house in Montana, and I never leave without an armful of books I can barely see over. Favorite purchases include: “More than Words: Illustrated Letters from the Smithsonian’s Archives of American Art,” “Swallows and Amazons: Book I,” and “A Basketmaker in Rural Japan.”

This is one of the best bookstores I have ever been to. The selection is incredible, especially the "Too Good for General Fiction" category, with many gems. It's a lovely store, and there's even a wonderful shop cat. Definitely worth a stop in Bonner's Ferry!

What a great bookstore! It's not terribly big but it has a nice, eclectic selection. The high shelves and creaking wood floors make it somehow exactly what a bookstore should be. They mostly have used books but do have a few new books mixed in too. I was content to browse on my own but I heard employees helping other customers locate specific books they were looking for. And there's a friendly bookstore cat!

An absolute gem! We come to Bonners Ferry often for appointments, and this is our favorite place to stop. They have a huge selection, with books from every genre imaginable. Everything is tidy and well-organized. The people are friendly and helpful. The whole place just feels like a bookstore should feel; cozy and inviting. And to top it off, they have a bookstore cat! It really doesn't get any better than Bonners Books.

A fun place to browse and shop. They even have a wonderful black cat! If he doesn't have it in stock, he'll order it in for you! Nice used books on the shelves along with brand new ones. Lots of local author books.

Walked in the door and was greeted by a delightful plant wall! The store is a wonderland and I found so many great and hard to find books. The owner was very helpful and offered to search for a primer book that I am looking for. And last but not least, the store kitty is a sweetie and he looks like my Cinder Fur. I just love this place. Worth the hour drive from Spirit Lake.

As a lover of both big name books stores and tiny hidden shops this bookstore has the best of both and tons of character mixed with new books and gently used books (who doesn’t love both?!) also super cute and friendly black cat lazing about the shelves and happy to say hi 🖤. Definitely an amazing find in this town- or any other. Our hearts were filled when we found this bookstore and it is easy to lose track of time there happily.

One of the deepest literature sections I’ve seen in a small town, especially if you’re looking for idiosyncratic 20th Century writers. Hard to find books going for $3-5 (including a two volume Miss MacIntosh, My Darling set). Amazing shop/owner.

I have been to numerous bookstores all across the country and this beautifully quaint little place is one the best I have ever seen.Clean and orderly while still being accessible. The layout and ambiance is simple, elegant and engaging. The selection is eclectic and expansive. And the prices are simply astounding I very nearly spent all my gas money here because the individual prices were irresistable.

This little bookshop is a treasure. The proprietors are knowledgeable, willing to help, and know their stock. They have both new and some used stock. It was a very pleasant find and i spent over an hour perusing the shelves.... never felt hurried.... rather instead felt welcomed and encouraged to ask questions and browse.

Great bookstore to visit. I was impressed as to how organized it is and the variety of books for sale is very impressive. If you love independent bookstores this is one to visit. I also purchased a recent edition of one of Mark Greaney's thriller books there for a very reasonable price. A must visit for book lovers.!

A neat little bookstore. It has a very large selection of random because of all genres, which makes this shop even more appealing, almost like an adventure to browse through. My wife and i enjoyed the design. I would definitely recommend going here!

John's bookstore is a wonderful place to visit and purchase books . His prices are an incredible bargain and the inventory he has always maintained of new and old books is beyond comparison to larger stores.
