I have to say that despite not having enough employees working in the pharmacy, everyone works so hard to give time and attention to each customer. There was a customer today that came in and was so rude to the pharmacy tech-however she remained calm and professional throughout the encounter. We must all remember that there is only ONE pharmacy serving so many people at this particular Long’s. Please be kind to the pharmacy team.

I enjoy the store although I liked the old layout better. I enjoy interacting with everyone in the store with the exception of pharmacy personnel. It’s my favorite longs on this island

I cannot tell you how much I HATE WITH A PASSION, coming here for prescriptions (pharmacy side only review). Every time I go (almost monthly), the ladies are SO sassy and rude. Their service is absolutely awful!!!!! I got automated text messages saying my prescriptions are available, but when I go to pick it up they didn’t have it ready and they told me I should’ve called them before coming in and it was my fault for not confirming first. Seriously?!? So this time I called to confirm it’s ready before going over and the girl gives me attitude on the phone because it’s been ready for 3 days and she starts having a conversation with someone else tells me to come get it already and then hangs up on me. WTH, their service is ridiculous! Then they gave my son meds to someone else! Grrrr! I hate this pharmacy so much! Go ANYWHERE else if you can!!!!

Very few pharmacies on our island and Longs knows this. Lack of competition causes both sloth and disregard for clientele. I have never seen it this bad in a well-populated mainland location.

Waiting, waiting, waiting for my prescription to be filled. The CVS website indicates my prescription is “delayed” No reason for the delay is given. No estimate as to when it will be available is given. Our local Longs pharmacy never answers its phone.

Too many times we’ve stopped at the pharmacy on the way to work and the window opens but they don’t start calling you to the register until 10-20 minutes after pharmacy open time (like their sign says). This is after coming back from their lunch. I suggest they keep the window open and go to lunch separately maybe?. We’ve been late to work too many times because of this issue. I live half an hour away so I don’t go before their lunch because that would mean me sleeping in my car at work for 2-3 hours until I have to clock in. They need to start calling people up to the register when the window opens cause this is ridiculous.

Every bit as bad as all the other one star reviews have claimed. Rude and inattentive personnel that seem to know nothing about prescriptions other than to search endlessly through their many piles for them and to tell you that your wait will be 15 minutes. That 15 minutes often turns into two hours.

This is such an upbeat and bright store. Despite the worker shortage that is everywhere here, it's amazing that the staff here are so engaging and friendly despite being so thin on the ground. I know first hand what it feels like to be under staffed, and yet at this store they are always so positive and cordial. This neighborly vibe is like stepping back in time, to where people cared for one another.

I have never been to a place where the staff was so rude and everyone just tries to act like they are busy just to ignore every client. Pharmacy never answers the phone after 3 hours of waiting, and then you get there and there are 9 people in the Pharmacy just doing nothing but giving people excuses that they are short staff, or the computer is down, or the prescription is not ready. They all close the Pharmacy for an hour so that all of them go to lunch together instead of splitting their people to still be able to assist and get lines down. We have been living with the COVID excuse for 3 years now. We need to work with what we have got and they clearly do not care. This is unacceptable.

The store itself is fine. It is the pharmacy that is a mess.corporate will not offer a decent wage so that more staff can be hired. They are overworked and cannot keep up with the demand since Food land closed it’s pharmacy. The staff gets an A+ for working under such unacceptable working conditions

If you want to be ignored and wait forever for a few pills, this is the place to go. At least six employees behind the counter who saw that I am waiting for help, not one seemed to care enough to ask what I want. Then an employee with no smiles and barely saying a word took my prescription, says it takes 15 minutes to process it. I ask something and she very harshly asks what I said. I come back 15 minutes later. Be ignored for another 10 minutes, then they can't find the prescription in their chaos. It took another ten minutes for them to find the bag somewhere. You can just pray that they don't accidentally mix your medicine with someone else's and kill you with their chaos. Very unprofessional for a pharmacy and potentially life threatening

Awful. I hate that I have to give one star. My Doctor warmed me before coming here that this pharmacy is terrible, the pharmacist (My Dr warmed me of him by name) thinks they are an MD and tries to manipulate prescriptions illegally, and they will lie and say things are out of stock, when pressed they will give in and will admit they have the medications. Some times it will take 3-6 days for them to fill a normal, in stock prescription. Unfortunately they are the only semi convenient pharmacy to me. So here I am 10 minutes before the drive thru closes, sitting at a closed drive thru window.

The people who work in this pharmacy are the best. Since 2018 I have had hundreds of prescriptions filled here. They all have been courteous and helpful making sure that any questions or concerns regarding my medications were answered. I suffered from severe adult onset asthma. Icould hardly walk up to the counter.. These pharmacy technicians and Longs-CVS became a very important part of my health care team. As for lower ratings remeber people who are sick filling their prescriptions are not at their best.. This store is an important resource for our community. So lucky to have. Thank you

We have had several experiences of calling in a prescription in the morning, being told that it would be ready by midday, and then having to wait another half hour to have it filled once we got there. This is becoming a pattern for us. The staff seems to see this as standard operating procedure and doesn't seem concerned about the inconvenience it causes.Today (April 9 2022) we had another case of very poor customer service which is entirely inexplicable. I had been told earlier that my heart medication would be ready for pickup on 4/5/22, but when I went in today (4/9/22) I was told that it wouldn't be available until 4/11/22. After some further discussion they explained to me that they had the medicine in the store, but that it still needed to be unpacked. So I told them that I would wait until the prescription was filled, and had it within 15 minutes. So I will leave it to you to decide if the medicine really still needed to be "unpacked" .... but why would they tell me that a heart medication which they had in the store wouldn't be ready for two more days, without giving me the option to just wait until the prescription was ready???

Though I got everything I need, I am basing my rating on service and courtesy at the pharmacy. Some of the employees seemed irritated and I am not one of those customers who puts up a fight. I am patient and I just felt like there were no appreciation towards me. The way I was being talked to was very straight up blunt. I was very uncomfortable with the whole atmosphere and really wanted to get out of there.

After registering for my first booster last year I was told that this store doesn’t follow the registered appt times so I ended up waiting in line for the walk-ins and eventually received my shot about an hr after my registered appt time. This time (for my 2nd booster) I was told I had to register for the booster and after spending time registering the earliest time I could get was 4 hrs later. Pharm tech who gave me my COVID shot was rude, talked to me curtly, didn’t call my name (but expected me to know it was my turn by looking at me), she never smiled or greeted me. The pharmacy tech at the counter, however was very pleasant and accommodating.This is the first time I have experience rudeness at this Longs.

Picked up my prescription and everyone there was nice. I may have had to wait a while considering what my my prescription was, but I was in no rush. so I strolled around the store looking at everything picked up some Birthday cards for the month of July got a feel of staff that was working that day and they too where pleasant. Prices seemed reasonable looks like I won't not need to drive out to Kona for some of the things I may need very convenient so 4☆"s from me Thanks Longs kamueal 👏👍🙌💪

Got some Haupia cheesecake from the market, had no indication there were a few Mac nuts crushed in it.. Until it was too late. This store the only drug place near by, 25+min away, vs. everything else 50+ min. It was 30 min before close when I called & explained my sob story, told her I might be a little late and bless their hearts, they made sure to wait for me to get there and get benadryl for my poor allergic fiance. They waited for me, and I can't Thank them enough for their understanding, patience and being a compassionate team working when I needed help.

Poor communications, lack of follow-through. When I pointed out clearly obvious issues, the person on the phone made excuses, blamed their issues on store signs being stolen, spoke over me when I tried to explain my point and literally put the phone away from her ear as I was explaining my point. I could literally hear her put the receiver down, then pick it up again long after I had finished speaking. Horrible customer service. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Step back into 1990. They still use paper coupons, and I've been over charged multiple times. Lines build up fast. Customer service speed and accuracy needs improvement. PRO: Long pharmacy hours, drive up open till 11PM.

“For the best experience” avoid attempting to schedule your Covid 19 booster shot online, you’ll simply get a cancellation response by 07:00 the day of. You can walk in and get it, although I wouldn’t. Instead, just grab a coffee @WaimeaCoffeeCo, the folks there are way more interactive and happy.Good luck to the Longs Drug Staff, I know it can be stressful working in a small town pharmacy… If you’re that displeased with your lot in life, strive for better 🤙🏽

As others have said, more than 2 days in and still no covid results. At this point we’re trapped in quarantine on another island, it’s costing us hundreds of dollars because we can’t pick up our car or check into our booked hotel and cvs has no information and just keeps giving us the 1-2 days line. Use anyone else. Pay the money for something extra if you’re waiting for a result from them. Get a rapid test in the Honolulu airport if you have a layover. Just skip this place.

Do not use this Longs for covid testing purposes. We had multiple people do their tests through different longs/CVS stores and this is the only one that didn’t get the results processed on time. Ended up being a very costly mistake trusting this pharmacy.

There was a customer in line that started to be pushy in telling me that I needed to go to the next cashier because she was calling me. I told her that I did not want to go to that cashier. I replied telling her that she should go to her. Then this customer started yelling at me infront of the customers that were in the store. I started to walk away to go to another cashier then she started yelling at me and told me "what shame yeah" I was going to the other cashier to call management to report this customer. The cashiers saw her verbally attacking me and they did not bother calling the manager. When the cashier called Mark the manager to come talk to me. He did not talk to the customer who was attacked me verbally. Instead he let her go without talking to her. Before the customer walked out of the store. I told her that I was calling management and that if she continues to harass me. I would call the cops. She told me and we will take it outside. Meaning she wanted to beat me up and hurt me. Customers beware! Darryl Ito district manager for the store told me that they do not interfere with customers who are in their store who are having a conflict. Basically customers are allowed to scream and yell at other customer and in the process possibly get beaten up in the store or outside of their store. Customers are basically by themselves fighting their own battles with another customer. Neither the cashiers or employees will help you. They will NOT call management or call the police. Management will not deal with the customers who are verbally attacking you. They will let them go without talking to them. Looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Longs CVS does not have a protocol on how they deal with customer who are causing problems with their other customers. Basically CVS Longs does not care about the safety of their customers who are in their store. Warning all customers to go elsewhere to do business or risk getting beaten up by another customer at their store. Harold the regional manager does not care either. He basically he did not have the time to talk to me about this issue. I was told by his secretary that he won't be available until Tuesday January 3, 2017. I called the VP office and ask to talk to Joe which is Harold boss and his secretary refused to escalate this issue but told me to talk to Harold. This is not the first time that I had a customer verbally abused me at this store. Darryl Ito did nothing to change this situation the first time around. what make you think it will change. Looks like the 3 rd time is the charm before things change at Longs CVS. Management will not keep their customers safe while in their store.

I have had nothing but good experiences at this store. Everyone from the clerks to the pharmacist have bent over backwards to be helpful. I'm so glad that the store expanded in our town as it meets a real need, as evidenced by the popularity and clearly returning customers.

My experience at this location has always been good. At last visit Tresia (sales associate) was very helpful providing excellent service! She is clearly an asset to Longs.
