Pretty decent plated Hawaiian lunch - my wife got the fried Mahi Mahi which was ok but the wasabi Mayo on top was AMAZING. Had never had a sauce like that before. The fish did not taste fresh.I got the hot pepper chicken which was pretty decent with rice and macaroni salad. Good sauce but breading and chicken didn’t have that much flavor.Overall, it was an ok meal but wouldn’t go back.

We stopped here for a quick bite because my first choice turned out to be in Waimea on the big island!!We decided to share the fried fish and have it with extra salad instead of rice and a side of the Furikake fries. The fries were deliciously crispy! I think they were fried with some sort of coating and were so good! The furikake flakes were just ok. The fish was just plain old unseasoned fish dipped in unseasoned batter and then fried! The food was average but inexpensive. I don't think I would come here again!

Stopped here for lunch. This is not fast food, so don't think you can make this a quick lunch stop. Food is made to order and it takes time but I think it was worth the wait. I had the oriental chicken salad which was simple but delicious. Picky husband had a BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger which he thought was the best burger he'd had in a while. Friendly staff.

Overall I liked the place. The food is cooked fresh and tasted wonderful. Nice hole-in-the-wall place. Excellent local food choices. Not the newest place on the island but a solid choice for comfort food.The rice was excellent and the katsu chicken was also cooked well.Staff was friendly and efficient. Great local joint.

Yes, this is a very casual place with a few tables. We stopped for lunch for bbq plate and the food was tasty. Service was very nice, but expect at least 10 minutes before you get your food because they make it there on the spot. Reaffirming that they do not sell alcohol whatsoever, and you can read their explanation as to why.

This is the ONLY place we went back to twice during our vacation cuz it was soooooo dependably good. Their mahi katsu was out of this world!!! My wife loved their Oriental Grilled Fish salad. Super friendly staff and food made fresh to order. Great (maybe greatest) place on the south side of the island!!!

Currently food is take out only. Delicious with friendly owners. Food is made fresh on the spot so you might have to wait a while. The portion is generous. Got mahi mahi, chicken katsu and fries.

Super delicious! Our boat tour guide recommended this to us so we decided to try it. My husband ordered the chili pepper chicken it was sweet not spicy. I ordered the fish katsu it was unique.

We both had the Mahi Mahi Furitaki Style. It was AMAZING!! I was blown away with how good it was and would recommend it to anyone (already told friends to get it). The service was great and the lady working there was super friendly.

Unpretentious and tasty food that hits da spot. The burger I got was perfectly weighted and spiced, with a lovely soft and fresh bun. The fries were also delightful, salted and fried nicely with almost a hash brown consistency and crunch. Would highly recommend; friendly service and has regulars, which is of course always a good sign.Parking: Lots, including spaces outside the grocery store.

Highly Recommend!!!If you're looking for a hidden 💎, this is the stop in Waimea. Mahi Katsu was perfectly cooked 👌and drizzled on top with a sauce from heaven plus sprinkled with joy 😇. Customer service just as top notch. I promise you'll find good food and good service. Support Local!

New favorite plate lunch on Kauai. For years, Mark's Place was at the top. I didn't even get there in my latest visit because Da Booze Shop (which doesn't serve booze) was sooo good. We tried the Mahi Katsu, Kekahott Chicken, Furikake fries, and chicken cutlet.The chicken cutlet is as close to Japanese curry as you're going to get, and it was delicious! But the Kekahott Chicken was my favorite, with the Mahi Katsu a close second. The sauce on the Mahi was killa!Next time I'm here I'm gonna have to try the burgers...Service: look I love straightforward service and I don't need a lot of in terms of niceties, so I'm was good with the service I received. But I'll say this: the folks that work here seem like they're not stoked to be there. I wouldn't be either - it's work and it's hooottt. Hope they're doing ok tho.One last thing about location. This place is NOT Porky's, which is on the same street about 100 feet down. I've never been to Porky's but someone posted a pic of Porky's as Da Booze and that's not right! You have to go to Da Booze!

WOW!!! I ordered the ranch katsu wrap and it was incredible. One of the best wraps I’ve had anywhere, if any variety. Fresh, super crispy chicken and ingredients. You could tell they made everything fresh today. My only regret was not ordering two. Don’t make the mistake of not stopping here!!
