Small store allows you physically move through the store to get essentials quickly. The deli in the back has yummy bentos and sushi for a fast meal. The baked goods section has sweet treats made outside and delivered here. Love the customer service too.

For a smaller grocery store they have a great selection. Deli has a good choice of yummy premade stuff. The sushi is on point and made in house. Everyone working here has always been friendly and helpful. Gave 4 stars because some items a lil pricey and parking lot can be hectic coming in and out during rush hour.

Shopping for groceries on vacation on the big island is a challenge but KTA provided what we wanted, including a selection of Hawaiian made and local products which we couldn't find at Choice Mart. Best of all, their desserts are FIRE 🔥🔥🔥

Well staffed, and they have a few things I can't usually find at other local markets. I split my shopping between 3 stores a month, but I would recommend avoiding this location after school lets out. :)Definitely try the butter mochi from the deli - it's always fresh and fantastic and worth stopping for.

What a great little market! Clean and orderly. Stopped in for some beach picnic snacks. Great international selection of chips, drinks, and sandwiches. Also has a sushi deli. Large selection of beers and alcohol as well.

Well designed, great selection and above all locally owned! KTA Express imo is one of the best supermarkets in South Kona, great selection of everyday grocery items, produce meats & more. For a store on the smaller side hence the “Express” name, I was quite pleased to find a full deli, bakery and poke counter! There’s even an L&L Hawaiian BBQ “mix plate” counter conveniently located within this store for those looking for a more substantial meal on the go. To top it off, as with all KTA stores the staff is always very friendly and always willing to help!Passing through south Kona on vacation or just needa pick up some everyday essentials? KTA Express Kealakekua is a your convenient one-stop (locally owned and operated) shop!Note: if approaching from the Kona side of the highway the left turn into the parking lot might at times be difficult especially after school.

Small store but excellent selection of foods, products and wines. From local kine food to goat brie cheese and tasty cracker appetizers. Even the vegetable produces was on track for our menu dinner. The Cashier was friendly and courteous. First time visit. Kudos to owner, management and staff. Mahalo.

Like most things in Hawaii, you cannot rely on google hours for accuracy. It was closed at 8:00PM on Saturday, 3/25 contrary to what google said, closes at 9:00PM. Please put accurate hours. Drove 25 minutes one way to KTA for groceries and it was not open. The store is generally clean and well staffed. I do see now they have corrected their hours.

The selections are at times somewhat limited compared to another nearby grocer, but the prices on most items are a bit cheaper. I tend to feel like I get more bang for my buck here, definitely.

Has pretty much anything you need. Lots of local products and super friendly staff. Of course it’s a little more expensive than Walmart, Safeway or Costco but by spending a little more you get better stuff, have a little experience, and support the local economy instead of Bentonville, AR :)

This KTA location has pretty much everything you need without having to go to Keauhou or Kona. Love the sushi, poke bowls and L&L plate lunches. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

There's so many great experiences at this specific location! You're usually greeted when you come in & greeted again when you're done. I've also had an employee ask me if I needed help when I had trouble finding an item. This is a great example of Aloha spirit🌸 Then today I didn't realize my card fell and the employee picked it up and gave it right back. Their checkout service is great! I go here mostly for their deli. This wrap is so 🔥 I always tell myself it's too expensive but it's so worth it. I get their kailua pork bowl too, and had their yummy chicken entree & vegetable. All yummy 😋 Let's support more business like this!

Great diversity of vegetables and products. Friendly, courteous and professional staff. It has been our go to grocery store on our vacation and we are planning on going there again this afternoon to try the poke. Also, their deserts are awesome, like the date cakes (or bars) that I bought back. They were immediately wrecked with only a small bite left for me.

Worked for the KTA franchise back in high school. The few locally owned supermarkets still exist on the Big Island. You can find most grocery items here along with fresh made seafood, Bakery and deli items. Convenient locations in Kona, S Kona, N Kona and Hilo.

Welk it's a grocery store and you get groceries there. Although I was lookin fir a bag of tater tots. They only have single servings and that's not what I was needing . But when I asked about where the tater tots were I was helped immediately and friendliness was nice. Even though I was a little bummed out for not having a larger portion of tots. I mean I could've bought like 19 single servings and then had enough but thats silly. Have a great day . Where your someone special everyday at KTA.Yea boy! ! ! ! !Aloha 🤙🏻 🤙🏻 🤙🏻 🤙🏻

Just grocery shopping. It's a bit expensive and I'm not sure where things are located I this particular one but the have everything you need to grocery shop. They have a store. They have food. They have carts. They have baskets. They have parking. They have tables outside for eating and drinking.They have beverages. They have supplies. They have cashiers( a very pretty local girl) and door security (ratherLARGE Local man). So I guess you could go shopping there. They accept cashN credit cards, EBT . AND I'm not positive about anything else as far as payments accepted. - They had extremely long slow lines at checkout. With one employee who was walking around wiping things with her rag,and not helping customers Pay for their groceries and move along the next people in line. It was a pretty busy time of day.

Just what you would expect from a local grocery store that has it put together. Seems like the shelves were stocked and the store was neat and tidy.They always had plenty of checkout clerks up front and the lines never seem to be very long.Pricing was on par with what you would expect. Good fruits and vegetables and a good meat selection.
