What's up with this location in Keaau? There are 2 specific cashiers, who seem to enjoy yelling at the customers. Corporation should put arrows on floor (like KTA), so that they don't have to bellar "The line starts THERE!!" Their tone of speaking is unprofessional and condescending to everyone! Corporate, ARE YOU LISTENING? I hate this location, and am sooo glad to live in the Pahoa CVS location, where ALL THE CASHIERS are "Super Pleasant", the Managers are always cordial and Professional. 🙏 I will never step foot in this store, until that horrible woman is gone.

Every refill of my insulin is always out of stock. I had to wait a week and a half for an antibiotic and it was a common antibiotic. Some employees are pleasant some are not. I've had a couple tell me a lie but I knew better and while I didn't accuse her/him of lying I did say I knew Medicare paid for test strips and lancets 100%. Unfortunately this is the preferred pharmacy on my Part D plan. I can go on about other problems.

Update: I have been patient and kind.The other day upon wasting my time like others because the lack of service provided, I politely tried to have a conversation with Tasha Parker the alleged pharmacist, she copped an attitude over talked was rude and wore a giant FU on her face we eventually got into a verbal altercation where myself a customer was swore at by her in front of her managers one from Oahu and the manager of the store, who I must say is a sweetheart it's sad that even she's aware of the errors and personality conflict Parker has but clearly even after that situation no resolution.I shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable getting my medication BECAUSE CVS CREATES HOSTILE AND STRESSFUL WORK PLACES! I don't blame the pharmacist I know what I went through with her is from burn out, lack of support and being overwhelmed. They're an extremely busy pharmacy serving a large area. It's not fair to myself others or your staff. The more overwhelmed they become the harder it is for them to perform up to par. I'm not sure what the system is there but I think alternating lunch times between two pharmacist instead of closing for lunch could greatly help. I'm not sure if it prints a que for medications that's out of stock but maybe an opening employee can take note of it speak to a pharmacist on what's in stock that can be substituted while the pharmacist fills orders, another employee could contact the physicians for new prescriptions, upon that see and note what other locations have it in stock, then another free employee could contact the customers down the que with available solutions on hand. Even assigning the same specific employees to do that periodically throughout the day could save the pharmacists a lot of trouble and keep everyone from getting overwhelmed by hiccups.The store employee’s are great! The PHARMACY!! I personally do not experience problems but when I take my elders there good lord the attitude problems 🙄 I have to always intervene and calm both the pharmacist and my father down with simple questions like “I apologize what are his options?”It’s sad that I have to customer service the employees. I know it’s a hard job and not the best company either I’ve been there! But please be nice. Stop taking things personal while you are at work.

The sale prices are normally very good & make the shopping trip worthwhile especially using the coupons generated @ checkout which a choice of a printed or virtual receipt are given, one can save a significant amount. The checkout process can be lengthy due to problems w/coupons or sale items not showing up when scanned. If the registers have one or two check out lanes & the store suddenly gets busy, the wait can be significant. Usually after the line builds an associate will come to the rescue. Otherwise, avoid non-sale items as they can be expensive .Use coupons & Extra-bucks (money-credit subtracted from the total shopping bill given to loyal club shoppers that can offset the cost of non-sale items)

Went to cashier, Lois, cashier #1179981 on Sept 10, 2023 at 3:34 pm. No welcoming smile and instead told me to put take the items out of the basket which I was going to do. She had voided 2 transactions which were not on sale (although there were signs up for the sale price) and I stood there waiting for her to let me know verbally my total (which is my cue to insert my card). I stood there and asked her if I should insert my card and she said in a scolding tone, the transaction is done. I felt like she was my school teacher scolding me. At least she said thank you as I grabbed my bag of items. I am not there to be scolded, but should have been shown some customer service. If she is not happy with her job, then instead of spreading the unhappiness, she should find another job not dealing with the public!

I called three times in a row, could not reach a person and got hung up on each time. After 9 !levels of useless voicemail, someone picked up and immediately hung up. They don’t want my buseness.

Second employee was called to jell at checkout due to the long line. 2 people walked up and employee: 1 left me at register to help out customer not in line and 2 proceeded to help out another customer and processed their return while I am in line at checkstand, with all my items on belt, VERY VERY RUDE! No apology or effort to make customer happy! Definitely not coming back!!

Unlike Walmart, Longs drugs pharmacy never bothered to let me know I would need to pay for the meds my gf picked up because the prescription was written by a resident Dr. Apparently VA does not allow that for some reason, Walmart pharmacy on the other hand did tell me to just get it reissued because in a "emergency" situation they can bill VA. Another thing, No returns even if package is unopened & left store minutes later! I urge everyone to get Walmart to accept VA billing!

Came in for water because on the site it read buy one get one half off, but if your new to the area you wouldn't know that the water that was one sale was actually mainland water so the deal did not apply to this drug store even though it came up for their location because they do not carry it. After asking the staff about this they gave me $3 off for my troubles. Very nice and helpful.

This is the best Longs on the East side. Its always clean and well stocked. Plus it seems more spacious than the others. The workers are pleasant and helpful.

I love shopping at Kea’au Longs. Donna and Lois are exemplary employees, so is the rest of the staff. I appreciate Longs coupons and sales, they have very competitive pricing. Longs Kea’au is my choice for this side of the island.

Have been here a couple times in the past 2 weeks. They told me 20min took 2 1/2 hours to fill a prescription. Now sitting here AGAIN. My baby has pneumonia and were sitting here for 1 hr 15 mins ( after they tell me 30-45) while its raining mind you.... WARNING ABOUT THIS PHARMACY IF YOU CANT WAIT A DAY FOR YOUR MEDS. SLOW SLOW SLOW!

The pharmacy staff is top notch, Had switched to Keaau for about a week, received a call at home from the pharmacist that there was a problem with a drug my doctor had prescribed. That it had a reaction to the blood thinner I was already taking. I found this to be true and made the change. Much Mahalo for saving my life.The girls are friendly pleasent and helpful. Will be changing pharmacies, I understand there is an opiate epidemic, but, it was created by physicians and pharmacists not average people. I am not a junkie, I was involved in an industrial accident , that dislocated a disc in my neck, leaving me in near constant pain and discomfort. On 22 Feb I was prescribed 100 tablets of pain meds to be taken 6 per day , which means that the prescription should last 17-18 days. I average taking 3-4 a day, which made the prescribed medicine last 25-27 days. I am now out , in pain, and the pharmacist refuses to fill my prescription until the 22nd? I guess basic math and human compassion are not pre requisites for being a pharmacist. Even went as far as not accepting the prescription, until the 22nd. You can easily check your records and see I have no history of opiate abuse, I bet they can not say the same about their history of indiscriminately passing out opiates. Here I sit in pain with no recourse, paying for the past crimes of pharmacists and physicians, how is this just or fair or humane? It is not my responsibility to suffer in the name of the largest legal drug cartel in history. Ridiculous.

Service is decent but if anything is wrong on the books with your prescription even if its not some recreational drug but life saving for a autoimmune disease they will just sit there and not even prescribe a few til you can get proper refills

If you ever travel and need a pre Covid testing, DO NOT SELECT THIS LOCATION EVER! The staff doesn't know what they are dealing with. 72 Hr prior testing option is NOT available here. They say it takes up to 4 days until you get results and it is all they can say. They didn't know when your testing specimen is picked and where it is headed to for testing although you have to know your testing result is coming in prior to your travel. We called several labs that they asked us to but all we heard that "No. we don't test with CVS."

Longs drug employees have gone way and above to help coordinate with Dr.s and other pharmacies on my Wife's behalf.She is doing her best to fight cancer and is a very complicated client. The patience and knowledgeable experience of the staff at this pharmacy has truly made our lives easier.She takes a few narcotics and several pharmacies have looked at her and treated her as though she was doing something wrong for being prescribed pain pills for her chronic cancer pain.We have found this pharmacy to treat her compassionately and never like a burden.We can't thank you enough, you have loyal customers for life.Warmest Aloha,Mr. And Mrs. Jeremy Mikel

This Longs Drugs location has the absolute worst customer service! Their lack of concern for the patient's well-being becomes apparent if there is any difficulty with filling a prescription, even if the difficulty is due to low inventory and poor planning on their part. And don't try calling them because their phones only work about 25% of the time. I could not post this without picking at least one star, because in my opinion they should receive zero stars!

It's a hole-in-the-wall CVS, but has a pharmacy for convenience. Stopped in for arare snack to take to the mainland, which is the cheapest price you'll find on the East side. The pharmacists are friendly.

Longs Keaau - New Location & HoursNew stand alone building is across the street from the old location in the Keaau Shopping Center. Hours are daily 7 AM - 9 PM, Pharmacy has different hours M- F 7 am - 8 PM, Sat 8 am - 5 PM, Sun 9 am - 5 pm
