The Inn was amazing! Spottless-- clean, everything was working! The beautiful handmade wooden shelves, tables, and bar were works of art! What a treasure here in this little town! I will be staying here again on my next visit!Rooms: Rooms were perfect -Safety: Very safe!Walkability: Walking distance to everything in the town!Food & drinks: Delicious, delicious coffee and food at the Hive. Other food places were close-- nice choices

So far it's been a wonderful stay! A few things to take note of, if you're tall the ceilings are low, thus the ceiling fan may give you anxiety. The balcony is a wonderful bonus BUT the light on the balcony stays on, so the light will shine through the balcony doors. There is a retractable shade, but it does not block out the light and the bed is positioned facing those doors. Each unit has a wall air conditioner therefore birds try to nest there, so there is noise associated with that. The rooms are spacious and modern, there is a shared kitchen and breakfast provided every morning. The only thing it lacks is washer and dryer.

The rooms are extremely clean with their own bathrooms, and the inside looks like it was recently remodeled. The innkeeper was ALWAYS available and accommodating. It's very close to Akaka Falls and I visited Mr. Ed's Bakery a couple of doors down (many write ups on him and his business - very genuine gentleman). Overall, it was a great stay. I'm planning on coming back to the area and will definitely stay here again.

Absolutely loved staying here. The room was so comfy and clean. Everyone I encountered at the inn was so helpful and friendly. There were beach towels and miscellaneous things to borrow which was so nice and convenient. Keurig coffee maker and snacks in the kitchen were a sweet touch and much appreciated for my early morning wake ups (time change). Good proximity to many things including Akaka falls right down the street. Not far from Hilo either. I enjoy staying in quiet and quaint locations such as Honomu and hope to return one day.

Lovely quaint minimalist-modern esthetic. Very clean. Wonderful Inn Keeper! Open kitchen for breakfast and 24-7 snacks. Highly recommend!Bakery, coffee shop, & gifts stores next door.

Thank you so much! This place was simple and clean. Very calm and quiet atmosphere. Free parking, small complimentary breakfast, wonderful innkeeper. Quiet, safe road and neighborhood. 20 minute drive from downtown Hilo.

Thanks Lina ! We had a wonderful stay at the Honomu Inn. We loved the elegant room and everything was clean and renovated. In the morning we had great coffee and a little snack in the open kitchen. We also went to Mr Eds Bakery to check out their goodies. The Inn us just a 15 minute drive from Hilo where it is very quiet and peaceful. We would definitely come back next time.

Ein sehr kleines und familiäres Hotel im sehr kleinen Ort Honomu auf Big Island. Eigentlich ist hier so gut wie nichts. Man ist dringend auf einen Mietwagen angewiesen. Das Hotel besteht nur aus ein paar Zimmern und ist sehr ruhig. Handyempfang ist wie gewohnt schlecht, aber es gibt gutes Wifi. Frühstück macht man sich selbst, es sind ein paar Sachen vorhanden. Eine Kleinigkeit sollte jeder vor Ort finden. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet, aber es ist sehr hellhörig. Einchecken tut man quasi selbst. Es gibt keine Rezeption. Man kommt per Code ins Hotel und nimmt sich seine Zimmerkarte vom Tisch ....

Das Hotel befindet sich in einem kleinem Vorort von Hilo, ca. 20 min mit dem Auto fährt man in die Stadt. Ein Mietwagen ist hier dringend zu empfehlen. Parkplätze gibt es kostenfrei direkt vor der Tür.Das Hotel hat nur 5 Zimmer, während unseres Aufenthaltes haben wir kaum jemanden gesehen. Die Zimmer sind modern und nett eingerichtet. Das Wifi funktioniert gut. Der Check in funktioniert sehr unkompliziert, vor Ort ist niemand, mit dem Code für die Haustür kann man selber einchecken.Frühstück macht man sich selbst unten in der Gemeinschaftsküche, alles was man braucht ist vor Ort. Alles in allem ein nettes kleines Hotel, wer es etwas abgeschieden mag ist hier genau richtig.Wir haben einen Führerschein vergessen im Zimmer, dieser wurde uns per Post nach Deutschland geschickt, super Service.
