This JoJo's is constantly busy and offers a refreshing if artificially syrupy shave ice. The menu is probably the widest selection of flavors and combinations out of the shave ice that we've tried across the island.In the hours before closing the visitor count remains high but the lady was solo resulting in long production and wait times for all guests. Parking and accessibility can be a real bear for anywhere in this part of Hanalei.Vegetarian options: Vegetarians will have no problem here as nearly all items are vegetarian friendly desserts.Parking: The parking can be difficult as a myriad of surrounding businesses all use a small shared lot. Especially in the middle of the day and dinner time parking can be hard to find.Kid-friendliness: This is a built for kids (and kids at heart) option with loud colors and flavor profiles. This location went 3 for 3 on kid entertainment.

This place is great for a refreshing cool you off treat. We share the smaller size because these treats are huge. This was the Jo Jo special. Vanilla ice cream covered in shaved ice and drizzled with chocolate and butterscotch. Delicious. Seating is outdoors and depending on the crowd may be a bit hard to find. Service was quick and courteous.

Best shave ice business in Kauai. Service is the best, shave ice is incredible good, they add ice cream to them in the bottom, it’s a great combo! And the atmosphere is really nice because you’re in the Hanalei center where you can have a nice walk around the shops with the nice weather while you’re eating your shave ice.. it was really pleasant. I unfortunately forgot to take photos but the small size shave ice is definitely big enough for 2 people.

The shave ice was delicious here. We got two orders of number 2, the tropical breeze and we absolutely loved it. Loved the touch of the macadamia nut ice cream and the Haupia cream on the bottom. So very good. All of us really enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

Two words - Absolutely Amazing!! ❤️A small store in this cute location. They offer so many amazing choices of shaved ice!So glad I decided to try my first one here 💕We ordered two of them being the-#16 Locals North Shore and #5 Jojo’s Special (they ran out of vanilla ice cream, so we tweaked it for replacement with macadamia nuts ice cream).I think I’d pick Jojo’s choice over the North shore because it is very chocolatey. North shore seems like a good choice for someone who’s looking for tangier choices.It’s amazing how there’s so much delicious ice cream below the shaved ice 🍧.Eat it or drink it, that’s your choice ! 🌺

We loved their shaved ice but at this location they take too long to serve you. My husband ended up having to throw away half our ice as they took so long, we didn't have time to finish it because our tour bus was leaving and we couldn't take it on board. Our tour guide told us about the other location in Kapaa where were staying so we had a do over later.

Absolute best shaved ice we've ever had! Super nice and quick staff behind the counter. Prices are reasonable. The small size is more than filling. I had "Jojo's Special' - highly recommended 5/5 starsThe only downside is that it's located next to a chicken shop and when you eat in front of Jojo's there sometimes is a whiff of grease coming from the chicken shop. Don't let that discourage you. The shaved ice is really, REALLY great.

The Tropical Breeze was great! The flavors on the ice with the cream topping were really good, but the macadamia nut ice cream underneath was amazing. Certainly try one while on the islands.

Lines weren’t that long and with 4 people working it should have been manageable. The staff were moving slow, no sense of urgency. We waited for 20 minutes in a line that was maybe 8 people ahead of us, got to 2nd in line and stayed there for another 5 minutes, as the cashier was on his phone texting and wasn’t helping the people in front of us. All the staff were moving at a snails pace so we gave up and walked away. Came back 5 minutes later to see the same people still in the front of the line still waiting for their orders to be taken. They could literally double their volume with proper training.

We ordered the triple berry and the flavors were very good. I don’t think it was the best ever or better than any I’ve had before, but it was good. There were places to sit so that’s a plus.

We have enjoyed this place several times during our visit. Until today, the servings have been generous and worth the price. Today, the quantity/size dropped considerably for some unknown reason. I recommend tipping with cash after you confirm you get the service you expected. Still delicious! (photo from another visit)

Good shave ice! One bowl can hold two sizes, so you pick how tall the ice goes. The #2 Tropical Breeze was our favorite! A scoop of vanilla ice cream with macadamia nuts is at the bottom.

This was definitely the best price I found on the island. Their smaller size was about $4.50, and was actually the biggest shave ice I had throughout my stay. It’s definitely more simple and has less toppings than some other places, but tasted good, ice was a decent texture, and wasn’t super over priced like a lot of the other shave ice on the island. Even the smaller size was more than enough for two people to share.

This place gets rave reviews, and it deserves them, but I didn't feel like this was the best shave ice we had on our trip. The macadamia nut ice cream is an interesting addition, but we both felt that accompanied with the huge serving size, it was just too much.

Oh man, I ended up having shave ice every day while we were in Kauai, from lots of different places, and Jojo's was probably the best overall. Well priced, lots of great flavors. The haupia cream topping really puts it over the top for me. The big kahuna size is great to share. My personal favorite combination is the Local's South Shore. You can't go wrong here.

Heard great thing about Jojo's and it was really great! However, their ice and syrups remind me more of snow cones than bingsu or shaved snow - crunchy, solidifies together, all the syrup runs to the bottom. This kind of ice immediately melted and caved in (as seen in the photos) right after it was handed to us. By the end some of the ice had formed into a solid block of ice which some people like but not me. I prefer when the ice is more like snow and becomes creamy with the syrup sitting on top. For this reason, the ice consistency at Wailua is better. Also, the syrups at Wailua are more natural with no artifical flavoring but that's more personal preference.The amount of ice is a good portion and the flavor combos are good too! I wish there was more condensed milk on the snowcap, and wish they had haupia foam too.Overall a cool experience and good for those who like ice, but I prefer Wailua and overall Bingsu more.

Sooo good! A must have when in Hawaii. This is not the same as just a “snow cone.” The ice is soft and just melts in your mouth & the flavors are good. Jojo’s is the best shave ice on the island. If you create your own, it doesn’t include the ice cream, which I prefer. The flavors I got were, Hawaiian Lemonade, papaya, mango & passion orange... really good combo!
