Incredible! Freshly baked bread, fresh ingredients, well balanced sandwiches and friendly staff. Cannot falter the food and the prices, great local vibe.Only loses a star for the seating outside which is a little run down and needs some work but it doesn’t detract from the incredible food and kind staff.A must visit!

This is my wife and my favourite sandwich shop in the world. Every time we come to Hawaii we make sure we can get out to Haleiwa for a sandwich. The bread is so light and all the toppings are market fresh. Highly recommend the Papaya dressing to get the true Storto's experience. Don't be put off by the size...it is fresh and light and extremely moorish. Top Tip: Remember it is Cash Only!

You want the best sandwiches in Hawaii? Stortos is the place! Such a friendly staff. I have difficult times when my mind does not process what is being said to me but I did say something to her to which she replied the correct order I was thinking of. She corrected in a very kind way. I have always loved Stortos sandwiches. The best sandwiches on the island. If you ever want to go get a subway sandwich cancel your plans immediately and go to Haleiwa to pick up some Stortos!

Storto’s Deli is a sandwich shop in Haleiwa. Decorative walls with lots of surfing posters and friendly workers. The portion sizes are decent and they are cash-only. I can’t speak much about the taste as I got the vegetarian sandwich (avocado, alfalfa sprouts, bell pepper, onion, and a few other vegetables) and it tasted average for a sandwich, it wouldn’t be fair to judge the shop based on that. If you don’t eat pork or if you’re a pescatarian/vegetarian/vegan, I would not recommend this place. Otherwise, it may be the best sandwich you’ve had in Hawaii.

Ok you guys if you love subs then you'll love this sub shop. The ladies that run this joint are wonderful.Remember guys it's cash only so make sure you go to the ATM. For 2 subs and 2 drinks it was close to $20 so not bad.Alright the bread is so soft and taste like heaven. The meat's on my sub were really good and the veggies were fresh. Definitely going back.

The bread alone makes it worth going to if in the area. Open early too so you can grab your lunch before hitting the beach. Lots of meat and veggie choices with some unique sauces. Just don't expect it to be fast, this is both Hawaii and the North Shore. Good things come to those who wait🤙I don't have a pic because it always looks so good I eat it before I remember to take one. Someday maybe...EDIT: took a sandwich pic 😁

The amount of sandwich you get here is amazing, we bought two and it was enough food to feed a small army (or my small fat family). The service was great and the food delicious. One of the best sandwiches on the island hands down.

In the mood for a great deli sandwich and was not disappointed. Loved the friendly and light atmosphere the women provided while I was there. They were very attentive and obviously knew what they were doing. I ended up getting the “Waimea” sandwich which was ham, turkey, and salami with some general fixings and it was delicious! I ended up eating it in not time flat while my wife went to get some shaved ice nearby and didn’t feel weighed down afterwards. Overall a small shop just off of the main road down Haleiwa and a great healthy and filling option that has a solid price with it. I would definitely go there again to try additional sandwiches.

So good! Got a half sub and its huge!I recommend the papaya seed sauce, it tastes a lot like poppy seed dressing. Adds a hint of sweet to the sub, and isnt overpowering.$9.75 a half sub in June 2019.Very good sub! Worth the stop!

Subs are so so so amazing, and I will always bring guests/visitors to come try. You MUST have the papaya sauce on your sub! Business has closed an hour or two early multiple times so I would call or arrive by three to make sure they’re open!

Note, cash only. Fantastic food! The bread is Hawaiian, so has that plush texture with a sweetness to it and just melts in your mouth. The amount of meat on the sandwiches is fairly small, but the veggies and bread pull it all together nicely. Would highly recommend when looking for deli food!

The sandwiches were amazing and definitely worth the 5 stars. I have to subtract a star for the lady taking our order. To be fair, it was lunch time, so I will preface my review with that. However, given Covid no one was allowed inside to order, understandable. Instead there was a table placed in front of the door so you could at least see the menu. Upon arriving our small group went to the door to see the menu. The lady taking orders told us we would need to step around to the front porch area and review the menu there. There was a single menu for the line of patrons to review. The lady became very impatient when we didn't immediately know what we wanted and began cutting us off as we tried to order. The only reason I didn't say forget it and leave was because the gentleman behind us said we couldn't go wrong with anything on the menu. Once our order was placed she had us pick up our food at the door where a more complete menu was posted on the table. My recommendation would be to post a complete menu where you're wanting customers to order. Possibly even a large poster board to provide for better social distancing.I'll give it another try considering the food was good, but good food and poor service won't always bring customers back.

Let's put it is way in five days we've eaten there three times. So obviously the food is great but the people who work there are really make it happen! Would you believe the woman behind the counter remembered our name whenever we walked in! Here's to great service. Thank you! UPDATE 2/1/22 another vacation from the great white north and another stop at the best deli in Hawaii and was satisfied it hadn't changed!

Delicious sandwiches that are a little pricey, but very large and filling. I would definitely recommend getting the papaya dressing and the sprouts on whatever sandwich you get. The only seating available are the outside picnic benches and it's shared with the Lanikai Juice next door. On a busy day at lunch it will get pretty crowded with everyone coming in from the beach. There's also limited parking right in front, so you might have to park across the street. But the sandwiches are definitely worth stopping for.

Came in Aug 2021. Excited to get a DELICIOUS sandwich. The store was closed before it was supposed to be. I was there 15mins before closing.April 2022 came at 3:40pm on a Monday. Store closes at 5pm. They said they were closing an hr early. I said it's not 4pm yet.I even offered to pay double money for my sandwich. Lady declined it & said she had been there since 7am.Very disappointed in the service.I'd give 5 stars for this place if I could actually purchase a sandwich because I LOVE THEM!!AGAIN VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. #HUNGRYinHALEIWA

Love this Sandwich Shop, the papaya dressing takes these sandwiches to a whole new level. It's a bit more pricey than Subways or Jersey Mike's but you can get an Amazing Sandwich here, they do have daily deals a different 6 inch sandwich daily for a reasonable price. Try it!

Subs taste ok. But just not enough meat. I got the Rocky point which has 3 different meats, and you get a layer of one thin slice of each across the sub. The slices are very thin too so it just didn't feel like a proper sub. To me it felt I paid way too much for bread and lettuce with the suggestion of deli meats.

I don’t know if it was just the particular sandwich we got (turkey with all the veggies), but it was one of the blandest sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. Everything on it tasted the same and it was in desperate need of something briney, like pickles or banana peppers or a hot relish—something to differentiate bread from meat from cheese. We should have taken them up on the papaya dressing they offered which sounded odd at the time. The size of the sandwich was huge and fed two adults. This is an order at the counter and sit outside place. It’s very 70’s on the inside without trying to be retro. I get the feeling it’s just looked the same way since it opened and I found the atmosphere to be really cool. Staff were very friendly.
