I’ve lived in Towne Lake since 1997. I’ve seen this shop for years. Julius is amazing..and so very thorough. I have felt so much better with his custom compounded HRT. I cannot say enough nice statements and facts about Julius and the wonderful staff at Towne Lake Family Pharmacy! He offered me a free consultation in an effort to get to know me prior to receiving my test results, so he could learn about me personally, and know how to best treat me professionally and internally. He is very intelligent, nice, and professional, as is his overall demeanor as well as his staff. His alternative means to big Pharma is refreshing! Yes, you will pay more for compounded pharmaceuticals, BUT those are MUCH better than narcotic grade chemically laden medication’s that overtime, just cause more problems and mask issues instead of curing them! Invest well into yourself in order to truly live well. He even has an incentive card when you purchase your vitamins through there.I highly recommend Julius and Townlake pharmacy.

I caution any one who is considering using Towne Lake Family Pharmacy. They will tell you a medication is not covered under your insurance even if it is. We had a special medeication prescribed to out daughter. The pharmacist told us that it was not covered under our insurance- which seemed odd to me. We paid the cash pay price for it. I ultimately found out that it was in fact covered under our insurance- through my own digging as well confirmed with another local pharmacy. When confronted about the discrepency, the pharmacist told me that they charged me the cash pay price beucase if they ordered it and filed it under our insurance they would "lose money." To treat a patient (family) this way is unethical and when my insurance covers it and they charge a rate higher than what my insurance contracted rate it, it is illegal. If you are going to lose money on it, don't order it. Tell families you can't get the medication and leave it at that.*Editing to add my own repsonse to the pharmacy's response: They clearly missed the point- if they lose money on the medication, that's fine. Just tell me you either can't get it or be honest regarding the cost, but don't tell me that my insurance doesn't cover it. That is the problem here. My insurance did in fact cover the medication but to be told it wasn't covered at all and charge me the cash pay price is deceptive. So no, it is not a review of frustration toward my insurance company and my coverage (because again, the medication was covered) but a review of frustration on the pharmacy for providing inaccurate information.

I am so grateful for the people at TLFP. Their kindness and professionalism is exceptional. Julius has gone above and beyond assisting me with a compounded cream and educating me about supplements that would be beneficial. He is a very patient and knowledgeable educator! Julius and his staff are wonderful; they know me by name, and greet me warmly when I walk through the door.This time last year I was struggling with several issues that conventional doctors did not help. I felt so bad that I believed the next step was to go to an endocrinologist. I was referred to Julius by my women’s health professional. At the same time, I also saw a fibroid specialist who wanted to perform a surgical procedure. I opted to try Julius’ program. A multifaceted approach including, but not limited to diet, hormone therapy and supplements have made a radical difference in my life. I am no longer considering the surgical procedure because I do not need it anymore.Working with Julius has not been a quick fix, but he has faithfully guided me and walked beside me through my journey. Every time that I get a prescription, they call or text to confirm what I should be getting and also if I would like it mailed or not. Julius and his program made me healthy again!
